This is a thoroughly delicious smoothie. It has quickly become a favorite. After I tried it the first time a couple of months ago, I have been making it at least once a week for myself and my husband’s caregiver, who loves smoothies.

Made this tonight and it was delicious!! I didn't have any bananas, but I did have a peach that needed to be used --and for me it was a perfect swap. (My husband added a little vanilla flavored protein powder to his glass and said it enhanced the flavor from the cherries.)

I'm sipping this smoothie right now...and YUM! I didn't have any almond butter on hand, so I added a handful of raw almonds and blended them with the almond milk and spinach. This is delicious! I'm excited to include green smoothies into my day. My goal is to have one instead of reaching for that cup of coffee in the afternoon. Thanks for the yummy recipes!

I have everything but bananas. What can I use instead of banana?
Simple Green Smoothies
Hi Roni,
Not a fan of bananas? I've got you covered! Some great substitutes are mango, papaya, pears, unsweetened applesauce, chia seeds, nut butters, fresh dates, + avocado (won't add sweetness, but the creaminess we love).
