Stumbled across your website a couple months ago looking on a whim for something healthy and easy to try…jackpot!!! Did my first 30-day challenge in April and was hooked…Couldn’t believe how tasty a ‘green’ smoothie could be. My favorite combo is cherries, berries & banana w/some cocoa powder in almond milk (with spinach of course 😉 Can’t say I do a green smoothie *every* day…but at least 4 days out of 7, often in place of a meal. One of the easiest, most user-friendly, healthy habits I’ve every come across. Great job, ladies!!! Thanks!

I am thrilled that my 15 yr old son has gotten on the green smoothie wagon! He’s a vegetarian who is trying to get healthy this summer. I was laid-off and making a fresh smoothie every morning and splitting it with him this winter. When I started a new job last month he jumped in and started making his own! Now he reminds me to make MINE. 🙂

Green smoothies have added a new dimension to my smoothie experience. I never thought of color as a deterrent to enjoying food, so I did not have a problem with that, but just never thought of putting spinach or kale in a smoothie before! I like the green taste, it cuts some of the sweet, but also adds an interesting freshness! Now I add green grapes, green apples, and even green peas to my smoothies. It would be nice to have a new blender to do this with, mine is over 20 years old and not always up to the challenge!

My husband and I really enjoy our smoothies. This has been a good way for us both to have breakfast, a meal we typically skipped. This has also been a great way to incorporate new healthy veggies. We now buy Kale every weekend at our local Farmers market. One of our favorite smoothie recipes is Tropic-Kale. We are so glad we joined the challenge.

It’s an exciting and healthy way to start my day. I drink a green smoothie for breakfast instead of loading up on refined sugar and unhealthy fats.

I never, ever, thought I would be a Rawk Star. I signed up for my first challenge last summer and have been loving my green smoothies every day for more than a year now. That simple change to my diet has been the catalyst for other positive changes and I feel the difference. I am very glad that I found Simple Green Smoothies!

Green smoothies have helped my skin clear up and keeps me on track with eating more fruits and veggies (I’d much rather be eating scones and muffins :-)).

A friend of mine posted about Simple Green Smoothies on her Facebook page. I clicked on it out of curiosity, not knowing what to expect. Hmmm, I thought… that might be an interesting way to drop those extra 10 lbs and keep my New Year’s resolution. Little did I know green smoothies would become a way of life for me and my family.

My son noticed my smoothies and asked to try one right away. He has never eaten vegetables willingly, but he loves his green smoothies! My husband, while initially a skeptic, has been surprised at how tasty the recipes are. Thanks, Jadah and Jen, for improving our eating habits one yummy smoothie at a time!

I started drinking green smoothies and green thickies over a year ago. I was inspired by a movie to do something good for myself. I had no idea how much they would change my life. The first two weeks were bad. I had bad bloating, gas, I smelled like a skunk, and I had a case of the worst trots ever. A friend encouraged me to stick with it – these would go away – and they did. And suddenly I felt better. My skin looked better. My hair started to grow better. And it just kept getting better. My inflammatory arthritis pain began to decrease. My blood chemistry improved to the point that even my doctors began to ask what I had done. My weight stabilized (I am still not thin by any stretch but I am stable and that is the main thing). And when my son would get colds or other little infections this year I managed to not get any of them. I believe this is in large part due to the smoothies. My recipes are usually high-ingredient type and my green ratio is much higher than most people can tolerate by this point. I have began to really experiment and I have put every green imaginable in a smoothie – even Brussels sprouts and cabbage, mustard greens, bok choy, tatsoi, collards, turnip, dandelion, chard, and every variety of kale, spinach, and lettuce out there. I also blend things like broccoli, carrots, peppers, onions, celery, beets, cauliflower, pumpkin and squash. My fruits are usually frozen and I try to vary these and the greens every couple of days. I use water, unsweetened fruit juice, unsweetened soy milk, and unsweetened almond milk, and cooled fresh brewed roasted ground cocoa as my liquid. I sometimes throw in chia seed, almonds, pecans, walnuts, cocoa nibs, peanut butter, tahini, almond butter and even uncooked oats and quinoa. In my experiments I have found some great combos and some horrific nearly inedible combinations. But the sheer variety keeps me on track and just knowing how much better I feel is a huge motivator.
I invested about 6 months ago into a blendtec. I am so glad I did. It is great for smoothies, soups, dips (makes the best hummus ever – so smooth and creamy), crushed ice drinks, and fresh soft serve ice cream. I love this new resource for new smoothie ideas using things I haven’t used much in the past like kiwi, melons, and green tea. Keep them coming! 🙂

Simple green smoothies started my current lifestyle. I have leanered so much in the past year and a half that I have been doing green smoothies. I have gone through 4 blenders in less than one year. This contest couldn’t come at a better time. My family and I use the blender about 2-3 time a day. We see the benefits of green smoothies and it has spread throughout my family. Happy mom, healthy family.

As an ultra runner, it is super important that I fuel my body properly. However, I’m often guilty of not getting enough nutrition/calories, which is terrible because it is then easy to lose lots of muscle after running for hours on end. Being able to get so much nutrition by whipping up a green smoothie is easy, convenient and so good for me. I look better and feel better, and I know my body thanks me for it.

I have done many things over the past few years to start down a more healthy track. Anytime I start to eat right I feel so much better. I heard about the Green Smoothie challenge from a friend and decided that I was going to do it when the next one came around. When I wake up in the morning I find myself full of anticipation at which green smoothie I will make. I have become more creative in my smoothies. The other day I passed up ice cream for another green smoothie. I feel better, and have kickstarted my weight loss again. I am trying to sign up everyone I know, and educate my friends on the benefits of a green smoothie a day!

I love having green smoothies for my extremely picky 19 month old. It’s a great way for me to be able to get veggies in her! I also love having them, so I can be sure I am getting enough fruits and vegetables each day.

Green smoothies have changed my mornings. I am not a morning person, but green smoothies provide me with the energy boost I need without the crash of coffee. People at the office gawk when I when they see my smoothies in my mason jars but I let them know I’d rather have healthy food than pharmaceuticals.
