The Food Babe Way Book Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Can I tell you something?
I still take notes with pen and paper, and doodle all over them. I keep track of events and to-do’s in a physical planner. I subscribe to 8 wonderful print magazines and look forward to reading every single page, beginning with the last page first. And I love ending my night getting all cozied up with a good book in my hands.
The past week, I’ve been cozying up with The Food Babe Way. This is a book after my own heart (I am passionate about knowing what’s in our food).

Fun fact: Vani’s a green smoothie rawkstar, just like us. But that’s not all— this amazing woman is transforming the food industry from the inside out— Subway, Kellogs, Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and many more have invested in better ingredients in their foods thanks to Vani). We all get to benefit from her food activist work.

#1 struggle would be the rare times when I am on the go and no way to stop home. The unexpected times when I have no choice to but to get something ordering out and I hate it.

My struggle with healthy eating is that it’s easy to grab unhealthy food on the go and that it’s so much cheaper to grab something unhealthy.

Temptation! Sometimes I just can’t resist but have found lately now that I’m making your green smoothies in my new Vitamix (yay!), it’s easier to avoid unhealthy foods because I’m not as hungry as I use to be! Keep those recipes coming!

My number one struggle is money. No matter how badly I want to eat the right things, the worst things are cheaper. I know it’s an investment I need to make but when you don’t know what to buy the bill is SKY HIGH.

The 1# struggle I have with eating healthy is finding meals and snacks that are healthy and fill me up and give energy.

I struggle most with remember to eat throughout the day if I am busy. Smoothies make my world so much easier! Just make them in the morning and bring with me so I can enjoy them throughout the day.

My number one struggle with healthy eating would be my self control, I lack in this area. When I see donuts, cake, white rice, pizza, etc. I want to eat it and I can’t just stop at one I will continue to justify why I can have more and then do so. Its bad and I know I shouldn’t do this.

#1 struggle is being consistent with healthy eating. I’m a mom of two (2.5 and 6 months) and find myself struggling to find time to get it all done and properly fuel my body as well. It has to be quick and easy. Thankfully I have my green smoothies so at least it’s something.

Binging late at night seems to be my weak point, I can eat great all day up past supper I get those late night munchies that just ruin the whole day I did of good eating!

My #1 struggle with eating healthy is finding the time to prep and plan! I have been better about this for about a month, so it is getting easier. But, there is always those nights when the kids have an extra activity or something unexpected happens and throws my planning off!

The struggle as the food creator for a family is to compete with the many ways unhealthy foods are glorified. Trying to break the spell of junk food at both young and old levels is a challenge.

Planning and preparation is my #1 struggle. Eating healthy is a time commitment, and it’s so much easier to grab a sub for lunch or order a pizza instead of deciding what to make for dinner. I try to prep on the weekend, but by Wednesday I am out of ideas and ingredients. And I love to cook – I really have no excuse.

My biggest struggle right now is evening snacking. It wouldn’t be so bad if I craved something healthy, but it’s always junk food I’m hungry for! I have noticed that I crave junk way less often now, and find it easier to resist temptation now that I’m drinking a green smoothie every day! 🙂

Finding healthy food while on the road is always challenging. And added ingredients in things like half&half make grocery shopping more time-consuming.

My #1 struggle is not planning ahead. I do really well and stay on track when I have time, but with 3 kids, sports, work and everything else, we’re on the go a lot and if I’m not organized and plan ahead I often end up making bad choices.

Time, time, time. It is about planning and preparing to be able to keep up with a healthy lifestyle. Since finding your website my kids and I (and even occasionally my husband!) have been enjoying more fruits and vegetables in our diet. Thank you simple green team!

Sugary treats, always been eating some dessert or a little something during the day, It has been really hard to reduce the times, from something i been doing forever

I’m usually pretty organized and have whole foods at my disposal, so I do not keep much convenience food on hand for times when I am rushed and need a quick snack or lunch that isn’t whole foods. That’s the #1 struggle…when life throws a curveball to your schedule and you have nothing prepared, what do you do to make sure you stay on the straight and narrow for your healthy eating? I try not to stress and strive for 100% because no one’s perfect…but am always searching for options for “those times”. 🙂

My struggle is that I need to concentrate more on the healthy food items. And less on grabbing the on the go fast foods. Because I’m a single mom, and work constantly. I find myself grabbing the unhealthy foods. I like the easy, healthy recipes that help me stay on track.
