The Food Babe Way Book Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Can I tell you something?
I still take notes with pen and paper, and doodle all over them. I keep track of events and to-do’s in a physical planner. I subscribe to 8 wonderful print magazines and look forward to reading every single page, beginning with the last page first. And I love ending my night getting all cozied up with a good book in my hands.
The past week, I’ve been cozying up with The Food Babe Way. This is a book after my own heart (I am passionate about knowing what’s in our food).

Fun fact: Vani’s a green smoothie rawkstar, just like us. But that’s not all— this amazing woman is transforming the food industry from the inside out— Subway, Kellogs, Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and many more have invested in better ingredients in their foods thanks to Vani). We all get to benefit from her food activist work.

    My biggest struggle is that I travel for work each week and do not have the facilities to prepare foods nor can I carry them with me. I try to pack a few non perishable items while maintaining some variety too.

    Rounding those corners…. that’s my biggest struggle. My friends and family know I eat healthy, and I do my best to give my kids wholesome and nutritious food. BUT- then come birthdays, guests, neighbors, etc… and we give in. Suddenly pizza is not “the enemy”, and a chocolate cake with candy is OK since “it’s only this time…”.
    ROUNDING CORNERS slowly and safely, shift us from a square to a circle, and that’s a totally different shape 🙁

    My biggest struggle is making understand to all my family what is eating real food and trying to introduce them!! I try to teach them to take care of their health by eating all sort of meals (especially the ones in the FS21 kit). So when we see each other, we don’t have to eat crappy and unhealthy food to celebrate life! You RAWK 🙂

    The hardest aspect of eating clean that i personally face is the inconsistency of my schedule. I am in university full time and have two part time jobs so I am rarely at the same place at the same time for different meals throughout the week. It’s also difficult to find healthy recipes to satisfy both myself and my picky boyfriend.

    I don’t make enough time to prep on grocery day, which means a lot of spoiled fruits and veggies…… followed by guilt, which leads to binge eating chocolate…..
    It is also SUPER hard to try to figure out what is actually healthy and good for you. We get hit wit labels left and right, but who do we trust?

    The biggest struggle for me is to find quick and simple recipes that taste great, and will stop my cravings for more unhealthy substitutes.

    One of my biggest challenges with healthy eating is having quick options available when I suddenly realize I’m hungry after looking up from a project I’ve been engaged in. Healthy snack options abound, but I don’t always have one that appeals to me at the ready.

    My biggest struggles are a sugar addiction and portion control. Eating out also a challenge. I often prepare something and end up eating something else.

    I struggle with balancing life and healthy eating. Prepping and sticking to healthy eating can get so tough when you have hectic weeks.

    The #1 struggle I have with healthy eating is knowing what is actually “healthy”. There’s an abundance of food options available in stores today and reading the food labels of all of them are just not practical. A 20 minute shopping trip easily turns into an 1 1/2 hour trip when reading and comparing labels. Thats a lot of time spent in the store for someone with 2 small children who needs that time spent elsewhwhere. Decoding what the labels mean in relation to how they will affect your body and if the ingredieningredients can harm you is another story. Can be a bit overwhelming at times.

    I have several struggles!! But the hardest is getting away from seeing food as some sort of social acceptance thing. Like I don’t have to be hungry but if i’m with friends and we go somewhere there’s food or drink then I feel the need to join in. Or if my husband wants to go eat somewhere that’s not really healthy then it’s hard for me not to want to go with him and eat there, too. Family gatherings (I’m hispanic) are hard! So much good food and everyone wants you to have more! Help!

    My biggest struggle is staying prepared. It is when I try to wing things like snacks or meals that I don’t do so great.
