The Food Babe Way Book Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Can I tell you something?
I still take notes with pen and paper, and doodle all over them. I keep track of events and to-do’s in a physical planner. I subscribe to 8 wonderful print magazines and look forward to reading every single page, beginning with the last page first. And I love ending my night getting all cozied up with a good book in my hands.
The past week, I’ve been cozying up with The Food Babe Way. This is a book after my own heart (I am passionate about knowing what’s in our food).

Fun fact: Vani’s a green smoothie rawkstar, just like us. But that’s not all— this amazing woman is transforming the food industry from the inside out— Subway, Kellogs, Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and many more have invested in better ingredients in their foods thanks to Vani). We all get to benefit from her food activist work.

Some are super simple (like buying more organic foods), and others are more complicated (like thinking about how to purify the water you use when showering).

No matter what Vani shares— all the suggestions will help us live a longer and healthier life. There’s a lot of goodness to think about in this book! You can learn more about Vani and The Food Babe Way in the video below. And make sure to enter the giveaway for a chance to win this book!

    My #1 struggle is my tight budget. I already have to count my money when eating a “normal” lifestyle but with eating healthy it’s even more difficult. And for me it’s not easy to get all the fresh vegetables and fruits as a lot has to be shipped overseas or is not in season.

    What’s the #1 struggle you have with healthy eating? Keeping my fridge & pantry stocked up. So at the end of the week (we shop once a week) I often miss ingredients needed for a healthy meal or smoothie.

    My biggest problem with healthy eating is incorporating it into everyday life. Shopping, cooking/preparing, ordering out, etc. However, I have learned a lot from the Simple Green Smoothies website…I now eat veggies I would have never tried before 🙂 Love these green smoothies and actually crave them!! I have never been much of a meat eater…but I also never ate much throughout the day. Trying the green smoothies really has changed my eating habits. I now eat (well really drink) throughout the day now 🙂

    Preplanning, weekly prep, and freezing were my solutions to the time factor. I didn’t have time daily, so I blend for the week on weekends and freeze.

    I love green smoothies but really struggle to have one for breakfast. Not for any reason other than I like porridge or muesli. The ironic thing about this is that if I don’t have a smoothie as my first meal I am very very unlikely to make a smoothie later in the day.
    No logic or reason for any of the above but hey I’m only human

    My struggle is with sweet treats. I love pastries but do not take the time to make them myself.

    I struggle with keeping fresh greens and the cost of fresh or organic foods. I’m my husbands caregiver so I have 2 meals to prepare, he needs extra calories but I’m overweight and if I am not careful, I grab something on the fly and typically it’s not a healthy something and/or portion control is an issue.

    Sweets. Anything sugary or creamy. I have such low willpower when it comes to these foods.

    My biggest struggle with eating healthy is knowing what is actually good for you and what’s not. There’s sooooooo much information out there it’s hard to know who’s advice to follow.

    Speed! when I’m buying lunch when I’m in my lunch break I have limited time and options- i always fall into the trap of speed vs. health.
