The Food Babe Way Book Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Can I tell you something?
I still take notes with pen and paper, and doodle all over them. I keep track of events and to-do’s in a physical planner. I subscribe to 8 wonderful print magazines and look forward to reading every single page, beginning with the last page first. And I love ending my night getting all cozied up with a good book in my hands.
The past week, I’ve been cozying up with The Food Babe Way. This is a book after my own heart (I am passionate about knowing what’s in our food).

Fun fact: Vani’s a green smoothie rawkstar, just like us. But that’s not all— this amazing woman is transforming the food industry from the inside out— Subway, Kellogs, Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and many more have invested in better ingredients in their foods thanks to Vani). We all get to benefit from her food activist work.

The #1 struggle I have with eating healthy is the time and planning aspect! I love to eat healthy and feed my family good food but I feel we are always on such a time crunch. We work full time which requires us during work hours and outside of work hours. We also are raising our two beautiful baby girls. So we try to find a balance and incorporate a healthy lifestyle as often as we can.

Getting bored with recipes then falling off track, I have 2 kids and it’s tough finding something everybody enjoys

My #1 struggle is time. With work, projects with our new home, family events, and errands, there are some days that take out is the easiest and faster choice. There’s not enough hours in the day!

I am in love with sugar, mainly treats.

I struggle with sticking with a program. I’m good for a few weeks, sometimes longer then I regress. Frustrating!

I struggle with the amount of time it takes to shop and prepare good food at home.

My greatest challenge is sticktoativeness! I set goals, get started well then peeter out after a week or two. I love to cook with healthy ingredients and eat lots of veggie but my 18 year old son has very different preferences. That is also a great challenge: finding something that I feel good about eating that he will also at least try.

My #1 struggle is staying on track. There are so many temptations out there.

I struggle when someone in the house has something that’s unhealthy. I haven’t gotten to the place where I can look at something less healthy and say no and move on.

    # 1 struggle is getting away from snacking! I do great with making 98% of our foods from scratch, but my downfall is snacking.

I tell my self this is the day, by the end I am popping something in my mouth, how do you stop the cravings?

My biggest problem is cost. Having 2 kids and little money makes it hard to buy healthy. I do the best I can with making sure my family eats well but sometimes buying what’s needed to stay healthy is much more expensive then what’s on sale.

I’m a shift worker- days, nights and no scheduled meal breaks in my 12 hour shifts. I have to eat when I can so I often get over hungry and am eating on the go.

I struggle with time and budget. I am a single parent with 3 children and I work full time. Time and money are a challenge.

It’s seems to be a major obstacle to convince my boyfriend from the plan. He just loves his processed food.

Ice cream. I love ice cream. Since my conversion to clean healthy food and juicing, I miss ice cream the most. Hard to find the time to make it myself and I obviously cannot eat “le crap” (excuse my French) I used to eat with abandon. Somehow an orange smoothy just isn’t the same.

I’m a full time student, casual worker and trying to fit in extra activities on the side. I find it hard to eat healthy because I’m always leaving at 5am and never getting home till 6pm.

Having a (wonderful & amazing) husband that wants bread and pasta every other night for dinner & doesn’t (seriously) support me in my endeavors. It makes it hard to make 2 separate meals three times a day, every day.

The no.1 struggle I have is finding a good range of quality organic fruits & veg . The supermarkets in my area have very limited choice & markets only stock basics, I like to try different things to keep me motivated x
