The Food Babe Way Book Giveaway! {CLOSED}

Can I tell you something?
I still take notes with pen and paper, and doodle all over them. I keep track of events and to-do’s in a physical planner. I subscribe to 8 wonderful print magazines and look forward to reading every single page, beginning with the last page first. And I love ending my night getting all cozied up with a good book in my hands.
The past week, I’ve been cozying up with The Food Babe Way. This is a book after my own heart (I am passionate about knowing what’s in our food).

Fun fact: Vani’s a green smoothie rawkstar, just like us. But that’s not all— this amazing woman is transforming the food industry from the inside out— Subway, Kellogs, Starbucks, Chick Fil A, and many more have invested in better ingredients in their foods thanks to Vani). We all get to benefit from her food activist work.

    Time! Especially trying to make quick healthy suppers after work, especially if you want to do exercise after work. I don’t want to eat at 8 pm!

    The #1 struggle I have with healthy eating is living with a partner who has on-again, off-again phases with healthy living in general. It is very hard to cook and meal plan for two when one of us is a steak and bread and bread and potatoes – preferably fried – kind of person and the other is a meat avoider and avid lover of all things green.

    I struggle with cravings and once I give in to one it usually turns into binge eating… Yikes!!!

    My #1 struggle with eating healthy is feeding a large family on a budget! Not only is it more expensive to eat healthy but I have 8 sets of taste buds in the house. Finding easy, sumple recipes that get 8 thumbs up is tough!

    Feeling uninspired to cook or too hungry to make a proper healthy meal.

    My biggest struggle is giving up gluten. I love sourdough bread and I love slathering peanut butter on any kind of multigrain bread around. I have made myself not buy any bread and it makes me want to bite something because I still crave my bread. Going vegetarian is getting easier, but I still miss the bread.

    The number one struggle I have with healthy eating is loving myself enough to take the time and make it a priority. I think I’m loving others and myself by putting them first, but at the end of the day I realize that I’m the one who is tired and in need of a refreshing in more ways than one. If I could truly understand that putting myself first IS a way of loving my loved ones because if I’m not healthy how can I care for them? I’ve got to love myself enough to know (and remind myself when I forget) that making my health and eating healthy a priority is okay… and important!

    Food has such a social component to it! I find it difficult to eat right when I’m celebrating or when I’m around other people who are not eating healthy foods.

    My #1 struggle is not having a partner! If I want to start a clean eating regimen, I’ll do it alone and then I have to cook a different meal for everybody else.

    I am so excited about reading Vani’s book. I struggle with discipline. My downfall is not having a consistent flow of veggies and fruits on hand and taking the time to put it all together. I’m working on it though ! 😉

    My struggle lies in honoring my hunger. As a recovering eating disordered person, I find it easier to simply not eat than to risk a binge. I cannot take “just one bite” of anything, so as long as I keep clean eating at home, I do alright. Restaurants? Holidays? Parties? Always a nightmare.

    My biggest struggle is getting so busy, I don’t have the time or energy to prep my food, or my smoothies.

    I find time and finding something everyone likes, 2 kids under 5 and budget to be the most challenging in being consistent with healthy food choices.

    My fiance is a VERY picky eater, I am not. Healthy eating is not his priority, and he is naturally thin. I struggle to find recipes we can both enjoy and keep it healthy! I will not go to the processed food side!!
