    The hardest part of eating healthy for me is finding new and interesting recipes that are quick and easy.

    My biggest struggle with eating healthy is not knowing what is actually healthy. There are so many conflicting views and I just get more confused.

    The hardest part of eating healthy for me is finding recipes that don’t cost so much. Fruits and vegetables are so expensive, especially when they make up the majority of your diet. I would just love to find way to shop healthy while sticking to my budget.

    I have two big struggles to eating healthy on a continual basis: money and planning. The desire is there, but I need to work on my implementation. Also, it can be difficult to plan a family shopping trip on a small single income. You have to be creative.

    My biggest struggle with eating healthy is finding easy and tasty reciepes on a small budget! As a college student with a part time job, I don’t have much time or money to commit to healthy eating.

    My biggest struggle is entering all of the food I eat into one of those apps that records your calories, carbs, fats, etc. Everything I cook is a “recipe” that I have to enter in so it calculates the macros per serving size for me. I even put in my simple green smoothies since most of the recipes are two servings. Having to find the matching ingredients, figure out grams to tablespoons, deciding what would be a good substitution for white flour or vegetable oil, etc – all becomes very time consuming and sometimes frustrating! Some days it takes me longer to enter all the recipes and food I ate than it did to prepare and eat it! However, I will continue to do it because it is really helpful to see exactly where all my nutrients are coming from and where I can improve so I’m eating even more healthfully!

    The hardest part of losing weight for me is late night eating! I stay up after everyone else has gone to bed, and end up doing a lot of snacking!

    I could mention 100 reasons on why eating healthy is hard. Many people have done so and what they said is very valid. However, I have found that the hardest thing is realizing it’s not hard at all. It’s more a matter of perspective and priority, because eating healthy means putting myself out there; becoming vulnerable, fighting against what’s established. It’s me getting on my way of becoming my best, of making myself a priority in my life. It’s the need to be compassionate, forgiving and loving towards myself and others.

    My biggest challenge is probably that I don’t enjoy cooking, its always been more of a chore than anything else. Also I just don’t have the energy after work. (But the green smoothie a day challenge is helping me so much to get more nutrients in my diet every day!!

    My challenge is eating late at night when I am winding down. I love smoothies but for me now I find the expense is a challenge. So there must be a way to eat sensible on a fixed budget. Is fasting a part of the challenge?

    Cynthia, I also have the problem of eating late at night especially since I wake up in the middle of the night hungry and can’t get back to sleep. I’m also on a fixed income so I know how hard it can be to eat healthy and do the smoothies. If you have different grocery stores where you live find the one with the cheeper prices on frozen fruit.

    The hardest part of eating healthy for me is finding the time to prepare the food. *struggle* Because of this my healthy eating isn’t consistent throughout the week. I feel so great after having a green smoothie and I tell myself I’m going to make one every morning, but then the alarm goes off at 4:30 am and the snooze button seems like such a better option after being up all night taking care of a sick little one and grading schoolwork inbetween. I know that’s when I need the healthy food the most, but I haven’t made it convenient for me yet to grab and go on a regular basis. I guess it’s just a matter of establishing a nightly routine to avoid rushing things in the morning.

    My biggest struggle to healthy eating is grocery shopping! I either buy too much veggies that they go bad before I can make use of them or I buy too little that I don’t have enough healthy raw food on hand available. I guess I need to have a good meal plan before I do all the shopping.

    Determining exactly what items are healthy is my biggest challenge. Other than fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and some grains…there seems to be a gray area based on the source.

    Biggest struggle – buying everything on the provided shopping list and sticking with the suggested recipes. The further into the week I get, the more I tend to change my mind about what I want to eat. I end up making up my own dishes from the ingredients I have bough, so the food does not go to wast, it is just “re-imaged”.

    My number one struggle with healthy eating is knowing WHAT to make and then grocery shopping. Its sometimes hard for me because I love food!! so its difficult sometimes to find food that tastes amazing and is also healthy for you. I sometimes turn to pinterest but then some of the recipes just take too long! I work two jobs, 70 hours a week so I need something thats healthy and fast…. And THAT can be a challenge!

    My biggest struggle right now is sweets. This week has been hard because my apartment building has had activities and meeting where the offered snack waas cookies and soda. I ended up with a lot of sweets in my house so my week of eating healthy has completely gone down the drain. I have still been doing my smoothies.
