How to Live a Good Life: Soulful Stories, Surprising Science, and Practical Wisdom

ABOUT THIS BOOK: Seriously . . . another book that tells you how to live a good life? Don’t we have enough of those?

You’d think so. Yet, more people than ever are walking through life disconnected, disengaged, dissatisfied, mired in regret, declining health, and a near maniacal state of gut-wrenching autopilot busyness.

Whatever is out there isn’t getting through. We don’t know who to trust. We don’t know what’s real and what’s fantasy. We don’t know how and where to begin and we don’t want to wade through another minute of advice that gives us hope, then saps our time and leaves us empty.

How to Live a Good Life is your antidote; a practical and provocative modern-day manual for the pursuit of a life well lived. No need for blind faith or surrender of intelligence; everything you’ll discover is immediately actionable and subject to validation through your own experience. Drawn from the intersection of science, spirituality, and the author’s years-long quest to learn at the feet of masters from nearly every tradition and walk of life, this book offers a simple yet powerful model, the “Good Life Buckets”—spend 30 days filling your buckets and reclaiming your life.

Each day will bring a new, practical yet powerful idea, along with a specific exploration designed to rekindle deep, loving, and compassionate relationships; cultivate vitality, radiance, and graceful ease; and leave you feeling lit up by the way you contribute to the world, like you’re doing the work you were put on the planet to do.

How to Live a Good Life is not just a book to be read; it’s a path to possibility, to be walked, then lived.

Jonathan has put some of his infinite wisdom to paper in his new book titled, How To Live A Good Life. And we can say what he shares inside this book has actually worked for our own lives!

“Biggest takeaway for me right now is from the Awareness Triggers. Holy kale… I’ve been using my phone as my alarm and it’s amazing how many times I just needed to pause, breath deep, and reaffirm my intentions for the day.” — Jen

You can get a copy in your local book store or order a copy on Amazon. And don’t forget to grab bonus goodies here: www.goodlifeproject.com/book. The three “Good Life Buckets” – Connection, Contribution and Vitality – have personally helped us assess and redefine what fully living really means.

Plus Simple Green Smoothies is featured in one of the chapters, “Take a Green Day!” — encouraging people to add green smoothies into their lives. Now, that’s a good life!

Be sure to snag yourself a copy here if you don’t win one of the signed copies! And don’t forget to try Jonathan’s go-to green smoothie recipe below…

The Good Life Green Smoothie Recipe

  • Handful of fresh kale
  • Handful of fresh spinach
  • Heaping cup of frozen organic strawberries
  • Half cup of frozen organic blueberries
  • Half cup of homemade coconut milk
  • One heaping tablespoon of almond butter
  • A teaspoon of MCT oil (go light, this stuff can be, um, “lubricating.” lol)* or swap for 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Water to taste (I tend to keep it on the thicker side)
Not super-sweet, nice and creamy, and a great mix of greens, healthy fats, and antioxidants.” — Jonathan Fields

Within the next year I would like to have systems in place to keep my life more organized – this includes systems for paperwork that enters the house, recording tax deductions regularly instead of waiting for the end of the year, managing the laundry more consistently, etc. My husband is always preaching about systems and I finally see the vision.

Within the next year I would like to…cycle further (upwards of my usual 20k per ride) & get to 5k jogging. I would love our house not to be a builders yard anymore & finally get it organised & ‘live’ in it! Eat even cleaner & resist those binge days. Think that’ll do for starters
