How to Live a Good Life: Soulful Stories, Surprising Science, and Practical Wisdom

ABOUT THIS BOOK: Seriously . . . another book that tells you how to live a good life? Don’t we have enough of those?

You’d think so. Yet, more people than ever are walking through life disconnected, disengaged, dissatisfied, mired in regret, declining health, and a near maniacal state of gut-wrenching autopilot busyness.

Whatever is out there isn’t getting through. We don’t know who to trust. We don’t know what’s real and what’s fantasy. We don’t know how and where to begin and we don’t want to wade through another minute of advice that gives us hope, then saps our time and leaves us empty.

How to Live a Good Life is your antidote; a practical and provocative modern-day manual for the pursuit of a life well lived. No need for blind faith or surrender of intelligence; everything you’ll discover is immediately actionable and subject to validation through your own experience. Drawn from the intersection of science, spirituality, and the author’s years-long quest to learn at the feet of masters from nearly every tradition and walk of life, this book offers a simple yet powerful model, the “Good Life Buckets”—spend 30 days filling your buckets and reclaiming your life.

Each day will bring a new, practical yet powerful idea, along with a specific exploration designed to rekindle deep, loving, and compassionate relationships; cultivate vitality, radiance, and graceful ease; and leave you feeling lit up by the way you contribute to the world, like you’re doing the work you were put on the planet to do.

How to Live a Good Life is not just a book to be read; it’s a path to possibility, to be walked, then lived.

Jonathan has put some of his infinite wisdom to paper in his new book titled, How To Live A Good Life. And we can say what he shares inside this book has actually worked for our own lives!

“Biggest takeaway for me right now is from the Awareness Triggers. Holy kale… I’ve been using my phone as my alarm and it’s amazing how many times I just needed to pause, breath deep, and reaffirm my intentions for the day.” — Jen

You can get a copy in your local book store or order a copy on Amazon. And don’t forget to grab bonus goodies here: www.goodlifeproject.com/book. The three “Good Life Buckets” – Connection, Contribution and Vitality – have personally helped us assess and redefine what fully living really means.

Plus Simple Green Smoothies is featured in one of the chapters, “Take a Green Day!” — encouraging people to add green smoothies into their lives. Now, that’s a good life!

Be sure to snag yourself a copy here if you don’t win one of the signed copies! And don’t forget to try Jonathan’s go-to green smoothie recipe below…

The Good Life Green Smoothie Recipe

  • Handful of fresh kale
  • Handful of fresh spinach
  • Heaping cup of frozen organic strawberries
  • Half cup of frozen organic blueberries
  • Half cup of homemade coconut milk
  • One heaping tablespoon of almond butter
  • A teaspoon of MCT oil (go light, this stuff can be, um, “lubricating.” lol)* or swap for 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • Water to taste (I tend to keep it on the thicker side)
Not super-sweet, nice and creamy, and a great mix of greens, healthy fats, and antioxidants.” — Jonathan Fields

I don’t have a garden. In a year I want to find a way to grow an indoor garden or get a house with a yard so I can show my kids what its like to grow your own fruits and vegetables that go into making our green smoothies! 🙂 I hope I can write you again telling you that it came true!

My goal is, that by 1 year from now, I will have successfully “converted” at least 3 people I know to understand the true benefits of the green smoothie lifestyle ! I need to find a way to let people I know learn the benefits of the green smoothie way of life so they can improve their health. I seem to hear every week about someone being diagnosed with cancer. My heart’s desire is that people I know will understand that the underlying cause of most cancers is their poor eating habits and I want to impact people’s lives more.

Hello my name is Crystal, today i am not doing a lot of things that I should be doing. First, I’m not eating as health as I should for myself and family, I’m not exercising on a regular basis. My life is filled with so much school, work and taking care of the household is a very busy life for me. By next year I want to make eating healthy and exercising a part of my life permanently a new life style and to be able to stick with it for the rest of my time on earth. I do get a chance to a green smoothie here and there but not very often. I just want a complete change for myself and family. God bless

I am trying to make a whole life change. So I can name so many more then one thing that I want to be doing next year. I want to be eating local, clean healthy food. I am new to this green smoothies, but I want to be having one a day. I want to be moving and outdoors more, yoga, tennis, and hiking. I also currently work overnights, I want to get off overnight. Get 8 hours of sleep a day during the night when you are suppose to be sleeping. Over all I just want to be healthy and happy, living my life to the fullest. I know its going to be hard, but each day is a new opportunity to make one more small change until they all add up to a big change.
