My Favorite SGS is the Chunky Monkey, mmmm!!! I am a high school teacher and did a unit on green smoothies and nutrition and I let them know of this company and the amazing work that you guys are up to! My kids came up with their own favorite smoothie which I quite enjoyed as well, my kids pretended to form their own company called Smoothami (A wave of taste you can’t escape) and their main flavors are peach and kiwi with spinach, kale, carrots, lemon, ginger. Other kid companies were Frozen Fruzzy, Juice Evolution, Zest, Green Team, Jungle Fruit, King Smoothie, etc. If my class were given the Vitamix Blender, my students would actually be able to have their own smoothies for breakfast everday, instead of eating 15 teaspoons of sugar that the school bfast provides. Please consider us!

My favorite smoothie from the book is actually the Day One smoothie, “Beginner’s Luck,” with the addition of hemp hearts, fresh ginger and lemon juice. I started buying pineapple that is already peeled, cored and marked down close to the expiration date. When I get home, I cut it up and freeze it for really sweet pineapple “ice cubes.” I use a little Ninja, which only makes one 16-20 oz. smoothie, but since I make them for my husband and kids too, I would love to win the Vitamix so I could make just one batch instead of having to repeat the process over and over every day, saving me soooo much time. I would love to give a copy of your book to my mom and dad, so the book would also be a great prize!

I love the recipes that are found on this site. The challenges are fun and tasty. I used to have access to a vitamix and it is the best blender I’ve ever had the pleasure of using.

As someone who studies Chinese Medicine, it is important for to to add warming herbs to my green smoothies (as raw foods and greens can be quite cold on the system). I blend kale, banana, blueberries, walnuts (walnuts are a brain food plus a yang (warming) tonic), then I add cordycepts (energy boost and immune system enhancer), ginger (warming), tumeric (the list is extended for this herb but mainly is an anti-inflammatory), coconut oil and a dash of black pepper (opens your body to accept the tumeric).

Enjoy your path to healing! I’m grateful for you all at Simple Green Smoothies, and the lovely community you’re creating with healing recipes!

Thanks for the opportunity for such a fantastic new blending-machine!

I have two equally favorites Beginners Luck and Tropical Skin Cleanser would have to be my favorites..I love rotating the greens in these two recipes, however KALE is my favorite….Oh Kale yeah! Lol.

But with the beginners Luck you have the flexibility of rotating the fruit adding immune boosters and etc. the versitility without getting overwhelmed is awesome. Most importantly I love how they make me feel.
