This is one of our favorite combos – strawberries, blueberries, and banana. We up the protein by adding almonds. We also love the extra dietary fiber and vitamin E from the almonds.
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 2 cups almond milk (unsweetened)
- 1 cup strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup almonds*
- Blend spinach and almond milk until smooth.
- Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.
*Soak almonds overnight in water before blending, or use almond meal instead. Use at least one frozen fruit to make the green smoothie cold. Any variety of berry can be substituted.
