Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Also known affectionately as “Pink Flamango,” this Strawberry Mango Smoothie was created by my very first SGS rawkstar team member, Dan Mottayaw.

That was 6 years ago, and now he’s got a little baby girl who will be gulping this smoothie down in a few more months, I’m sure! I mean, what’s not to love? Strawberries + mango is a fabulous combination.

Strawberries Have More Vitamin C Than Oranges

It’s true! Strawberries knock it out of the park in the vitamin C department. A diet rich in vitamin C will help keep your immune system in tip-top shape.

Strawberries are also low in sugar and high in fiber making them a great smoothie addition for anyone who is watching their blood sugar levels. The fiber helps avoid a blood sugar rush and keep your levels more stable.

Mango: The Best Tropical Fruit

Okay, I know that statement is very subjective, but I really, really LOVE mangoes. I could eat them all day long and never tire of them.

Mango is like the tropical version of a peach. Juicy, sweet, chock full of vitamin A, fiber, and best eaten standing over the sink with juice dripping down your chin. No shame here! Add some mango to your smoothie and it’s instantly got an island vibe going on. I like to buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s almost always cheaper than my local grocery store.

  1. Linda says:

Day 2 smoothie was tasty. I always add protein and immune boosters. I added oats, greek yogurt, chia seeds and I had some leftover celery and carrot sticks from New Years so I put them in also.

  2. Heather says:

It was good but missing the wow factor of yesterday’s smoothie.

  3. Jeremy says:

Great for day 2. I add some vanilla plant protein and flax to these since I’m using as meal replacement, which ends up being surprisingly filling. I dont usually drink breakfast, but it’s a nice change.

  4. Tammy Bell says:

I felt like this one was a bit tart but I used water not the almond milk

  5. Heather says:

The taste is great, however the color was an almost brown/green color. Definitely not as bright as other green smoothies

  6. Michelle Panton says:

This smoothie started off a little bitter. I believe it was not mixing with my dinner. I finished it after my meal and the taste improved. I believe the packagrd frozen strawberries may not have been sweet enough.
My Nutibullet had difficulties blending this smoothie. Mangos and strawberries were frozen hard. Had to add sone extra liquid.

  7. faith says:

todays smoothie was tasty, not at all hard to drink. I could get use to this.

  8. Michelle says:

Very smooth and refreshing. What I am enjoying about these smoothies are their simplicity yet so tasty.

  9. Dianne says:

    Mmmm!

  10. Nidia Gago says:

    Nice blend!

  11. Ann says:

Used coconut water and gasp, cow milk. And I just found out that one cup of frozen spinach is too much for the amount of fluid. (Hence, the milk.) I got baby poo colored ice cream……that taste amazing.!

  12. Margaret Eacker says:

it was good but tasted more “green” than yesterdays. Very creamy and yummy just the same.

  13. Kim says:

Really didnt care much for this one. If I made it again, I’d either add a banana, or double the mango. Just tasted like something was missing.

  14. Sharon Lemons says:

Day 2 turned out much better than day 1.

Why won’t this keep my star rating when I post it, I am trying to give it 5 stars

  15. Sharon Lemons says:

Day 2 turned out much better than day 1.
