Strawberry Mango Smoothie

Also known affectionately as “Pink Flamango,” this Strawberry Mango Smoothie was created by my very first SGS rawkstar team member, Dan Mottayaw.

That was 6 years ago, and now he’s got a little baby girl who will be gulping this smoothie down in a few more months, I’m sure! I mean, what’s not to love? Strawberries + mango is a fabulous combination.

Strawberries Have More Vitamin C Than Oranges

It’s true! Strawberries knock it out of the park in the vitamin C department. A diet rich in vitamin C will help keep your immune system in tip-top shape.

Strawberries are also low in sugar and high in fiber making them a great smoothie addition for anyone who is watching their blood sugar levels. The fiber helps avoid a blood sugar rush and keep your levels more stable.

Mango: The Best Tropical Fruit

Okay, I know that statement is very subjective, but I really, really LOVE mangoes. I could eat them all day long and never tire of them.

Mango is like the tropical version of a peach. Juicy, sweet, chock full of vitamin A, fiber, and best eaten standing over the sink with juice dripping down your chin. No shame here! Add some mango to your smoothie and it’s instantly got an island vibe going on. I like to buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s almost always cheaper than my local grocery store.

The strawberry flavor really stands out! I liked it!

  2. LeeAnn says:

I found this one a bit plain for my taste, I ended up putting 1/4 cup of cranberries and half a banana in it.

  3. Tiffany says:

The taste is good. I was, of course, expecting a nice pink coloured smoothie but of course with the addition of spinach it will never be pink just a brownish green. Feels like it needs something, maybe a banana? Not sure. but overall it’s enjoyable and there’s no denying I’m putting something nutritious in my body.

  4. Gloria says:

Good smoothie: however leaves me a little hungry after a few hours. I’m sticking to this though ‼️

  5. Bethany says:

I love these smoothies. I’ve been blending smoothies for several years. These smoothies are simple and so nutritious. Even my husband drinks them. I’m looking forward to today’s (#2) smoothie with strawberries.

  6. Jeanette says:

The pink flamingo was very good. Thicker than day 1 but still tasted good to me.

  7. Brittany Spencer-Jilek says:

I traded coconut milk instead of almond milk which I think may have overpowered the other ingredients but I love the creaminess of this smoothie.

  8. Neil says:

Tried your beginners luck smoothie yesterday and found it to be a different taste. I used frozen mango and pineapple and a fresh banana and it resulted in a slightly cool drink. Next time believe I will add a little ice to it to make it a little colder and not quite so concentrated. Not a bad start to a new experience, Looking forward to the trying the rest of the smoothies.

  9. Julie Rouse says:

Another delicious smoothie. Thanks for encouraging us in this habit.

  10. Jamie says:

Mine was a little tart but it was still yummy.

  11. Patricia Owens says:

Today’s smoothie was a real winner for me. It had a great taste and texture and the sweetness of the strawberries and the creamy almond milk made it rich and delicious. I am a huge fan of mangoes in my smoothies and I added a bit of avocado for a extra creamy kick & some good fats. Great recipe!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  12. Heather Smith says:

This smoothie was good. I added a packet of stevia for a little more sweetness. So far day one has been my favorite.

  13. Connie M says:

Another good way to start the day!

  14. Sue says:

The pink Flamango didn’t thrill me. Not sure why. I love green smoothies. It could have been because I used unsweetened Almond/coconut milk??? I drank it, but I don’t think I’ll make it again. I am also using Kale instead of spinach since spinach is high in histamines and I’m avoiding allergies. Maybe that made the difference. Onward and forward to the next one.

  15. Robin says:

This was good, not as good as day 1
