Metabolism Tea Morning Routine

Metabolism Tea recipe that uses apple cider vinegar | Simple Green Smoothies

Boost your metabolism naturally with this healing Metabolism Tea recipe. It will naturally suppress hunger and kick start the fat burning process.

There’s no secret here. To get your metabolism ramped up, you just need what we’ve always needed: rest, nutrient-dense foods and movement. This is how our bodies are meant to function and thrive.

When you get back to these basics, your body will respond and heal itself. Sometimes that means more energy, weight loss, clear skin, fewer aches, etc— but no matter what it’s going to be feeling better than it does right now.

The Weight Loss Struggle is Real

Now, I know it’s waaaaay the heck easier said than done… and I struggle with this every single day. Yet I’ve had many break throughs over the years as I get older, which is why I’m here to share with you what works best for me in hopes that’ll it help you too.

Embracing simple food habits is where I’ve had the most success with my health. From a morning metabolism tea to a green smoothie— I have set the foundation to have the intention for the day of the body I want to have: strong, healthy & energetic.

What foods boost your metabolism?

Getting a healthy amount of greens, legumes, proteins, vegetables and fruits is essential to supporting the metabolism (1). Slow burning carbohydrates will help you maintain a stable metabolic rate and keep you active and nourished throughout the day. Stick with foods like:

Refined sugars and simple starches do the opposite, spiking insulin production and throwing the whole system out of whack. This can cause the metabolism to slow down and to store sugar as fat rather than burning it as energy. Yet it’s not easy to say no to them, so I prefer the method of adding in more good stuff so it crowds out the bad.

Bottom line: a mostly plant-based whole foods diet is gonna do your metabolism some serious good.

To even get your body excited to head in this direction, you have to create simple habits that’ll get you craving these lighter, cleaner foods. And that’s where my Metabolism Tea comes into play.

What is a metabolism tea?

Activating your metabolism will help you burn more fat and give you more energy throughout the day. This is something we all want and can get! It can start with this tea recipe using plant-based ingredients that are high in nutrients that naturally activate your metabolism.

To train your body to crave the right foods, we have to set the foundation for that every single day. This morning tea uses a splash of apple cider vinegar, fresh lemon juice, cayenne pepper and cinnamon to wake up your metabolic system naturally. We’ve added some raw honey and ginger root to make it taste better and help your digestive system as well.

Which tea is best for weight loss?

When trying to shed a few pounds, I encourage you to drink this Metabolism Tea 1-2 times a day. It has all the fresh, natural ingredients to activate your metabolic system at a SUPER affordable price. I’m all about making a healthy lifestyle affordable.

The best time to have this is upon rising as it will activate your digestive system and help relieve any bloating or digestive concerns. Once the tonic settles in, it’ll get your metabolism burn happening as well.

As the day goes on and you’re feeling hungry in between meals, sip this before you have a snack. Sometimes huger is actually your body telling you it’s thirsty (the wires do often get crossed in our minds).

What a healthy metabolism really means

I hope I’ve inspired you to try this simple morning routine to kick start your weight loss journey. Yet what I hope for even more, is that you don’t focus on the numbers on the scale, but more on what being lighter will allow you to do.

‘Set goals beyond pants size or pounds— run a 5k, hike a trail, run the Grand Canyon (true story!) kayak with your kids, dancing with your loved ones— allow your weight loss success to just be a launching pad to a more active energized version of you.

  1. Julie says:

    Good morning,
I have a question which is not related to this post. I have 2 Inflammatory diseases which caused severe pain. I cannot exercise anymore due to this issue. I have Endometriosis and Interstitial Cystitis(Bladder Disease) I’m not sure if you are familiar with either one of these. My bladder condition is the issue at this time with this disease I can’t have citric acid, caffeine… any suggestions of inflammatory green smoothies??
    Best,
    Julie

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Julie,

Here are some great recipes we suggest for inflammation!

      https://simplegreensmoothies.com/recipes/turmeric-anti-inflammatory-smoothie-cubes

  2. Noreen says:

I’ve been doing something very similar to this for years. I also add a tablespoon of turmeric paste to help with inflammation. I have lost 30 pounds over about three years and maintained it for the last two.

  3. Marguerite Close says:

Hooooo-eeee! That’s hot. My ginger was so fresh, the leaves were attached. And I was, perhaps, a little generous with the cayenne. The grated ginger pieces were too much so I threw the whole thing in my Vitamix with an extra 1/2 cup of water. Much easier to drink that way. It tastes better at the bottom of the cup as the honey tends to settle there. lol! Thanks for the recipe. I’m looking forward to experiencing more energy!

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

Wow that does sound intense! I’m sure it woke you up and gave you a boost even if it wasn’t what you thought it would be like.

This is one of my favorite morning routines and I always look forward to it 🙂

  4. Jess says:

Can’t wait to get started on this morning routine!
How long will it last in the fridge?
I’m wondering if I can prepare batches for a few days or if this will make the ingredients lose their potency?

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Jess,

This should be able to last in the fridge for up to 3 days as long as you leave it in an air tight container.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Jess,

You can prepare this up to a few days, as long as they are in an air tight container.

  5. Cynthia Thompson says:

    Hi Jen,

I have been making this tea and it is so delicious plus it works. I have been looking for something to boast my metabolism as well as energy. The older you get the harder it is to lose weight when you carry so much of it. Thank you for this and i will keep on going.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Cynthia,

I am so happy to hear that you are loving this recipe and seeing the benefits from it! It really is so great for you plus will help you lose those pesky few pounds that want to hang on.

Tried Metabolism Tea this morning at 5:30am…… WOW what a drink. The ginger and cayenne pepper woke me up right away. I was bloated but by the time I went for my morning run, my tummy had already gone down. Will continue to drink this in the mornings. How long should I wait after drinking tea to have a light meal or a cup of coffee? Thank you Jen,

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Barbara,

I am so glad that you enjoyed this tea and will be adding it to your routine!

I would wait about 30 min before eating a meal after drinking this tea.

  8. Roxy Fredrickson says:

Thanks for the feedback, Sheila!!! I am so happy that even though you were nervous to try it that you still did and are seeing the benefits of it.

  19. Anna B says:

Really kicks my day off right! I can feel like my body is waking up and I’m less tempted to eat a lot for breakfast, I really recommend as it actually tastes nice ( used to drink shots of acv)

  20. Wendy Carr says:

Finally bought these ingredients. Tastes better than I anticipated! Thanks, Jen, for your helpful tips and videos.

Love this metabolism tea – such a great start to the day!!!!

  23. Barbie Wicker says:

This drink is great! I love how it tastes and that it warms up my belly. I’m not a fan of spicy things, so I only put a little cayenne pepper in.

  24. Beverly Doucette says:

Great start to my morning and so easy to make! Love the combo of sweet and tangy with a bit of heat. ❤️

Yum yum i tried it before and its such a tummy cleaner

  29. Elizabeth Ross says:

Jen. Your advice, honest sharing about your day to day struggles and amazing recipes are so valuable. Lucky and blessed I can across your smoothie chalkenge years ago. Thank you.

  30. Mimi Ocdamia says:

I tried this and I was so surprised that i indeed liked the taste. The acidity from the acv and lemon was balanced by the sweetness of the honey. And the cinnamong and cayenne added a bit of character to the drink. Thumbs up to you Jen for sharing helpful and healthful routines to help us in our journey to a more healthful life.

  31. Alana says:

Is it ok to make a big batch of this? Keep it in the fridge and heat enough each day? Or will it ruin the taste or the ingredients? Trying to save time in the morning if I can…

  32. Susan Bricker says:

I can’t wait to make this tomorrow morning! I’m excited to see the results and change up my morning routine by setting myself up for success with my healthy goals. Thank you for all you do! I want to Rawk this year out and be the healthiest version of myself!! I’m grateful Jen for your labors of love and sharing your passion with others to be
    the healthiest versions of themselves.

  33. virgie says:

I really like the tea, although the first time making it I added to much cayenne pepper. Made enough to drink before lunch also.

  34. Jackie Santoro says:

I love this tonic. I use a small amount of maple syrup instead of the raw honey.
Apple cider vinegar is known to aid in weight loss, yet to drink it by itself, it’s not very pleasant to swallow.
In this recipe, the additional ingredients are all delicious, and all assist in healthy weight loss.
    Thank you!

  35. Anita says:

I didn’t think I would like it because of the cayenne pepper. It’s not bad, my husband and I find it quite tasty. I cant’ wait to make the smoothie and snacks. I started late, I’m behind with the blogs. Thank you for sharing this information

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

It’s never to late to start! I am so happy that you and your husband love this recipe!

I’ll be making this in the morning. I’m preparing for fall running and just need a kickstart. Plus this sounds tasty. Thanks

  38. Ashlyn says:

I really enjoyed tea. I cut back the honey some since I don’t like really sweet things. I absolutely love ginger and cinnamon so it was right up my ally!

  39. Laura A Bowman says:

I already have a drink in the evening with a fiber supplement and ACV. I think I will try switching to the morning and adding the other ingredients. THANKS!!

  40. Sam says:

It’s not bad; however, the cayenne pepper is too much for my taste buds.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

Hey Sam, feel free to leave it out or add in less until your taste buds get use to it.

  41. Vilma says:

I couldn’t believe it, after drinking the tea, is amazing , you feel it immediately after taking it, this going to be one of my favorites, thumbs up I love ❤️

I was surprised…but actually loved this! The “tea” has more flavor than I anticipated and the perfect way to start my day!

  44. Sherry says:

I’ve been drinking almost this exact recipe every morning for a couple of years now. I add a dash of turmeric and slice the ginger. This is great because the ginger is grated I’m consuming it! No waste.

  45. Carol McCarty says:

LOVED this version of my standby, the morning ginger tonic.! This new drink will for sure help me power through my busy days. I can totally see myself mass producing this go easy quick mornings

  46. Nany Widjaja says:

I have not tried it yet, but it looks simple and achievable

  47. Connie Hoffman says:

Excited to start this tomorrow. Easy to make and hope it helps boost my metabolism.

  48. Heidi says:

Delicious!! I could definitely drink this every morning. I only used 1 tablespoon of honey and no ginger just because I don’t have any. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe.

  49. Andy says:

Wow! My wife and I are really enjoying this Green Healing Morning Tea! The ingredients are really nice together and balance each other well. After the last couple days, I find myself looking forward to it in the morning to get my day going with a kick. For me, 2c of warm water with everything else the same fill up my favorite mug and help me get a little more fluids first thing in the morning. Thanks for the recipe! I look forward to combo’ing this with some of your other metabolism boosters.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

So glad that you have enjoyed this recipe and for sharing what has worked for you!

  50. SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

I love starting every morning off with this tea! It has become my go-to now!!

  51. Amanda says:

Tried this recipe this morning + love it! Will be adding it to my morning routine for sure!!

  52. Karina Bak says:

I love starting my day with this tea. I had to start with a small amount and gradually increase the Turmeric I use, but it is a nice warm drink to start my day.

  53. Jennifer A says:

This combo actually tastes pretty good and makes drinking ACV tolerable. I’m used to drinking the hot lemon and ginger tonic from the cleanses…this just steps it up a notch, packing more flavor punch and health benefits. About half way through, I had to strain out the ginger though, as it was just too much. I like the ginger taste, just not all the chunks. I don’t think I could drink this on a daily basis, but will definitely make it again.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

I am so happy you gave this tea a try! You can totally grade less ginger then what this recipe calls for. Make this work for you! 🙂

  54. Ashlyn Thompson says:

I thought it was really good. It was too sweet for me but I don’t like sweet things. I drink black coffee and very dark chocolate. I plan to make again and cut the amount of honey. I also used the fresh ginger that was already grated in a tube so I think it was a bit more concentrated that if I have grated at the time of making so I will grate myself or use less of the pre-grated one.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

Yes feel free to add less honey to make it not so sweet. I personally notice a big difference when i grate fresh ginger so I think you will love it!!!

  55. Irene M Hayden says:

This was great tis morning!!! Amazed at how I am not hungry today and I do not crave anything sweet..What an easy way to reset my 78 year old digestive system:) Im always looking for new ways to feel better not old:)

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

Sounds like you are taking all he necessary steps! SO happy that you loved this tea and already seeing results 🙂

  56. Carmen A Westberg says:

i used to make this tea, and your post reminded me how much i like what it does for me. i always feel more energy. i make it a little differently. i have chocolate mint growing in my yard, and i make the base of the tea with fresh chocolate mint tea. thanks for getting me back on the metabolism tea morning routine!

  57. Rashida says:

Delicious. I’m going to drink this twice a day everyday. I can’t have too much honey because of health reasons but I will try half honey and half brown sugar. I will also add tumeric to this drink. Amazing!!

  58. Vernelle says:

I am reading the comments and keep wondering if I’m missing something… this is potent!! I ended up adding far more than 1 cup of warm water!! 2 tablespoons of fresh grated ginger and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with only 1 cup of water? The honey, lemon, and cinnamon help but it was barely drinkable till I added more water.. probably ended up using about 3 cups of water. Hope it helps as I realize I have diluted the potency but I couldn’t possibly get it down with just one cup of water.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

Your taste buds might be more sensitive to the ingredients in this recipe so you did what we would normally recommend. Over time you will be able to add less water and drink it just the way the recipe is 🙂

  59. bps1980 says:

I was actually drinking a very similar concoction (with turmeric only instead of cinnamon and cayenne pepper, and maple syrup instead of honey) for quite a while but then I stopped, not sure now why? I’m going to try and incorporate it into my morning routine again – starting tomorrow! 🙂

  60. Rene says:

Wow, this is really good. Love the taste of the ginger and honey. Never had raw honey before. I doubled it to sip on through out the day. Again, Wow!!!

  61. SHEILA BETH LANGLAIS says:

This is a really great tea. I was so surprised how much I really enjoy it. To be honest, at first I was a little hesitant, but I really liked it a hot. All the combination of the different flavors gives it a really great taste and I felt really great after I drank my first cup. I will make this past of my morning. Thank you Jen so much for sharing this recipe with me.

  62. Omotayo says:

I had been taking the warm water lemon drink, until you sent this. I tried it and it is so ahhhhmazing!!! I didn’t have cayenne pepper and had run out of an
Acv, but it still came out amazing and woke up my senses,literally..
    Thanks Jen.

  63. Sarah says:

    Hi Jen
Thanks for sharing this metabolism tea. It really is da bomb!! I made it up last night, enough for three (all for me); had one cup last night and the other this morning. I normally have 2 glasses of water first thing, take my meds and then wait a spell for my body to get to the ‘aha moment’. Anyhoo I had some meta-tea last night because I’ve been trying to go gym in the mornings since I joining up again (quite recently) but my body, brain, eyes all seem to wake up at different times and no point going when the body is still in another time zone coz that’s just uncomfortable (if you get my drift) so I thought drink a cup so all those parts wake up simultaneously and it did!! I was able to ‘see to my biz’ first thing and then hit the gym around 6.30am – felt right as rain. Did a proper good workout and then came back and had had another ‘shift’. That’s never happened before. NEVER. This is now a staple going forward. Amazing job. I am just so happy as the lark!!!
It tastes so good, hot, spicy, warming – just everything you could want in a tea.
Thank you so very much!!!! Have a metabolism boosting day 🙂

  64. Jenny Taylor says:

Hi Jen – I am currently in the African bush & just love this recipe & am so enjoying following you. I have 10kgs to lose. As an ultra marathon has-been, I have so enjoyed yourGrand Canyon escapades. Here’s to METABOLISM TEA – whoohoo – thanks Jen xxx

  65. Lalannie Knoll says:

Just made, drank and loved this tea. Was a bit skeptical as some of the ingredients are ‘scary!’ Much to my surprise it tasted so good. Shared with my friend as I think everybody should drink it. Will definitely be including this tea in my daily routine along with my green smoothies!! Thank you.

  66. Yare says:

I did try the tea for the first time this morning.
It was not bad. For sure I will try to drink it every morning, I just need to get used to it.
Thanks for sharing all your green inventions!

  67. Ruth Davey says:

Tried it this morning – it was a nice start to the day. Not sure it made any difference – too soon to tell really.

At my age (60ish) it is getting harder and harder to persued my body to let go of the extra weight. It seems to make no differencre what I do – eat healthy, eat more green, don’t snack, do moderate exercise – I have tried them all. Body is stuck on its set weight and returns there no matter how much or little I eat. It mostly stays tere, but then it also attempts to rise a little as time goes on. So anything that can help me to reset it is helpful. Not sure this is it either.

Its those extra 20kg that stick around my waist that are making it hard. Don’t want to have to keep buying a new wardrobe. Don’t really want to be Mrs Tubby either.

  68. Carole says:

I tried it and I liked it! I plan to start all my days with this Rawkin’ new drink. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

  69. Taryn says:

I love this tea! I’ve been doing something similar every morning but without the cinnamon and raw apple cider vinegar. Adding these two ingredients just makes it even better!!

  70. Nicolle says:

I tried this tea for the first time this morning and was a little surprised that I enjoyed the taste. LOL. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. A great way to start off my day!

  71. Melissa D says:

WOW I took a big gulp knowing the apple cider vinegar was gonna pucker me up but it wasn’t that bad. It had a great taste and was very easy to drink. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s. Thank you Jen!

  72. Barb says:

This metabolism tea was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. 🙂
Today was my first day of drinking it.
I am almost near the end of my work day and honestly don’t feel sluggish.

    Thank you so much.

  73. Janet Pearce says:

Forgot to rate it Five stars for this one!!!

  74. Janet Pearce says:

I am expecting great things from the Metabolism tea. I am on a new way of eating (WOE) and already drink ACV in H2O 3 X’s a day. I also add cinnamon and cayenne to foods and eat fish with fresh lemon juice nearly every day. Now I can combine them all with ginger and raw honey to give my metabolism the jolt it needs and deserves in the morning.Thank you sooo much!
    Janet

  75. Kelly says:

I have to say, I was a little surprised! I made a commitment to myself last night that i’m going to take care of myself for once… when you have kids, you tend to make sure they are ok while forgetting you matter as well! Anyway, this morning i tried this tea and it wasn’t bad at all! I downed it quickly… got the kids organized and went to make a coffee… Not sure if it’s related or not (We’ll find out tomorrow morning) 😉 but i didn’t even make the coffee. I stood there, and thought I don’t even feel like one! Weird! 🙂

  76. Nickie says:

The Metabolism Team taste delicious and is easy to prepare. I made a double quantity in the AM to sip throughout the day; I have made the tea twice .

  77. Vanessa says:

Wow! This tea really gave an awesome kickstart to my day.Needed that boost and will be incorporating it in my morning routine from now on.Thank you rawkstars!

  78. Jessica Woolhether says:

I made this tea for the first time this morning and absolutely loved it ! I added 1/4 teaspoon of bee pollen to it for my allergies as well as a little energy boost. Thank you for this delicious recipe!

  79. Ines says:

This tea is fantastic!! It tastes great and I feel amazing afterwards. I added a dash of tumeric to it. I will have this tea now regularly!

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

That is so great to hear! We are so happy you will be adding this to your daily routine 🙂

  80. Roni says:

This is a nice and refreshing way to start the day. I’ve been drinking water first thing in the morning but this is a great boost!

  81. Lisa says:

I tried this tea this morning (minus the cayenne pepper as I forgot to pick it up) and I feel really good today. I didn´t think I could start my day without my morning cup of coffee but apparently, I can and I feel better for it (more alert and energized). I highly recommend it. Thanks a million!

  82. Hope says:

I’m not a big fan of ACV and ginger but all of these ingredients combined turned out great! I can see myself sticking with this.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

We are so happy that even though you are not a fan of the ingredients that you gave it a try, and enjoyed it!!!

  83. Deborah Olukoju says:

    Deborah here again.

This tea is so good for a stubborn cold. I have been fighting a bad cold for the last two weeks. When I drank this tea this morning the flem in my throat, and the cough gave way. So, thank you so much Jen for coming up with this.

  84. Darlene Masters says:

Been drinking this for years but every once in a while I need a kick in the pants to remember to drink it again…Thanks for the friendly reminder and your video was great!

  85. Deborah Olukoju says:

    Good morning Jen,
When I received your note in the mail yesterday and read the ingredients I immediately fell in love with the list because it is everything I like in my drink. I got so excited that I pre-prepared my things over night for a well synchronize taste. This morning I simply pour the warm water into is, and as I sipped it I felt my “heavenly day” has started. I started my day on a very good note knowing that, I am drinking what I enjoy first thing in the morning.
Thank you so much for putting this together. I brought it to work, and put more warm water in the left over, strain it and now finishing it little by little. I so much enjoyed this. Think you so much. :):):):):):)

That is so great Deborah! Sounds like you already have a great routine going. Your body will thank you for it!!

  86. Christine Henry says:

Loved it–I wasn’t sure at first about the cayenne pepper and ginger in the morning, but the combination of all of the flavors was wonderful!

  87. Emily says:

Tried this tea this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the taste! Delish! I will definitely be working this into my daily routine! Thank you!

  88. Esperanza Chavez says:

WOW! I love the tea especially the ginger! I am eager to drink it every morning.

  89. Ania says:

I was surprised that I actually liked the taste. I’ve I have tried many different ways to consume apple cider vinegar and it usually ruins the taste of whatever I put in it, for me, other than salad dressing but in this concoction I guess the honey and the lemon really mask the taste of the vinegar. I only used 1 tablespoon not 2. I find the drink very tasty but a bit on the strong side so for me I need to add more water.

  90. SoCal Mama says:

Good recipe. Easy to make with ingredients on hand. I’ve heard a lot about drinking vinegar, etc., to boost metabolism, but it’s just too hard for me to enjoy the taste. The ginger kills me. I don’t think I can actually drink this consistently. Worth a try though! Thank you.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

We hope you do give it a try. The benefits of this drink it totally worth it. You can even add in less of the ginger and ACV until your taste buds are use to it. Then slowly add in more if you continue to drink it.

  91. Cenia Davis says:

I want to thank you, I have printed it out and I will be making this, this weekend. I have so much going on with my body and saying up is one of them I no that my Metabolism is all over the place and It’s a must I correct it, so again thank you.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

You are welcome, Cenia! We cannot wait to hear how your body feels after drinking this 🙂

  92. Liz W says:

Was a little nervous about how this would taste and am happy to say it tastes good! Are you supposed to drink all the shredded ginger? I’m interested to see how I’ll feel after drinking this a few times.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Liz,

We recommend eating all the shredded ginger but we know some people that is too much for them. So feel free to leave that in your glass if you need to.

      Enjoy!!

  93. Mimi M Ocdamia says:

Enjoyed drinking this metabolism tea! At first I didnt think I would love it but decided to try it for my health. Wow,it tastes great! The spicyness is balanced by the sweet sour taste of the honey, apple cider and calamansi ( I”m from the Philippines and what i have in my ref is calamansi instead of lemon). Waiting to see it’s effect as the day goes on. This is really a thumbs up Jen! Thanks for sharing!

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

So happy that you loved this recipe! Your body is really going to thank you for it.

  94. Beth says:

This is something I just can’t learn to love. It’s the ginger. It makes my face look like that pucker face emoji. (I don’t like ginger, as much as I try to because I know it’s so good for your gut). So I try it without the ginger and it’s just too.. I don’t know. I’ve forced it down but it’s not my fave.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Beth,

I would try adding a lot less of the ginger and maybe over time start adding in a little more each day. That way you will slowly get used to it. Hope that helps!

  95. Susan says:

Thank you – thank you for helping me get started – I printed your recipe and will start tomorrow AM. Do I drink this everyday? Best, Susan

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Susan,

We are so excited that you are giving this a try. Your body will thank you for it! Yes, you can drink this every day if you feel like you need it!

  96. Chloe says:

It’s difficult to consume these types of body warming drinks when you have hot flashes 🙁

  97. Jana says:

I make Switchel and keep it in the fridge, It’s the same thing only better because the ginger ferments and adds probiotics on top of everything else. I use half blackstrap molasses and half raw honey, filtered water, ACV and ginger. Then a splash of Lime juice to round it out. SUPER refreshing in the summer and all year long. I keep a quart jar going constantly in the fridge.
Like all these other “Metabolism” boosters, they really don’t work that way, but it does provide nutrients, especially when you use the molasses.
Even Cayenne pepper does nothing for the metabolism. Getting your heart rate up from pepper isn’t the same thing.
I do drink warm lemon juice with a splash of cayenne in it now and then but that too, does nothing for your metabolism.
Thanks for all the great recipes and such Jen!!
    You RAWK!!

  98. Dani says:

I was nervous to try this, but I had all the ingredients on hand and just made it for myself… really good! Hope to see some good results after a week of doing this.

    • SGS Rawkstar Carissa says:

      Hey Dani,

We are so happy that even though you were nervous you still gave it a try. Your body will definitely thank you for it!!

  99. Jen Hansard says:

This is one of those recipes that you will use for the rest of your life. Whenever I get in a junk food funk, I use this to kick start my healthy eating journey again. ACV, lemon and ginger are my jam!

  100. Bonnie says:

Make this tonic 5 days a week 🙂
