This fruit-infused water steeps fresh grapefruit slices and a few rosemary sprigs in cold water for a bright, lightly herbal drink you can keep refilling all day. Swap in sparkling water for fizz, and eat the fruit when the pitcher is empty.
Wash the grapefruit well and cut it into chunks or slices, leaving the skin on. Place in a pitcher or individual drinking containers.
Gently press the rosemary between your fingers or palms to release its oils and add it to the pitcher.
Fill with the water and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes or up to 48 hours. If using sparkling water, note that it will lose its fizz over time.
Notes
Sparkling Swap: Use unsweetened sparkling water in place of still water for a little fizz.
Refill Tip: Refill the pitcher with fresh water once or twice through the day. The flavor gets lighter each time.
Flavor Combos: Try strawberries and lemon, orange and cinnamon, cucumber and mint, or watermelon with rosemary or other fresh herbs. Wash any produce well, since the skin stays on.
Storing: Keep the infused water covered in the fridge. Strain out the grapefruit and rosemary within 48 hours so the pith doesn't turn it bitter.
