This mixed berry smoothie tastes like a fruity, naturally sweet treat — bursting with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries — while quietly packing in a full cup of spinach, antioxidant-rich goodness and ready in 5 minutes.
Equipment
smoothie blender
Ingredients
1
cup
spinach
1
cup
water
1
cup
mixed berries
frozen
½
banana
1
serving
homemade protein powder
optional
Instructions
Blend
spinach and water until smooth.
Add
the berries and banana and blend again.
Notes
Use at least one frozen fruit to make the smoothie cold. Make sure to remove cherry pits before blending if using fresh cherries.
Swap the spinach with the
leafy green vegetables
of your choice.
Freeze spinach
in advance to keep it from wilting, and ready to use.
Instead of buying a bag of frozen mixed berries, you can buy fresh berries to blend up.
