This orange mango smoothie has 29 grams of protein with blended frozen mango and a whole navel orange. The frozen cauliflower makes it thick and creamy, and a scoop of protein powder keeps you full. A little turmeric is for an anti-inflammatory boost.
Add mango, orange, frozen cauliflower and almond milk to blender.
Blend on high until smooth.
Stop and add in protein powder and blend on low until mixed in.
Pour into glass and enjoy.
Notes
Keep everything frozen. Use frozen mango and frozen plain cauliflower florets, and skip the ice. If you only have fresh mango, freeze the chunks for a few hours first so the smoothie stays thick and cold. Add the protein powder last. Blend the fruit, cauliflower and almond milk on high until completely smooth. Then add the protein powder and turmeric and blend on low just until mixed in, so it stays creamy instead of foamy.Adjust the thickness to your liking. For a thicker smoothie, use a couple of tablespoons less almond milk. For a thinner one, add a splash at a time. Use a spatula to scrape it out of the blender, since it's thick.
