This Chocolate Banana Smoothie is essentially a healthy milkshake, upgraded with plant-based nutrients. Almond milk adds a dairy-free liquid base, while antioxidant-rich cacao powder delivers a deep, irresistible chocolate kick.

high-speed blender
Ingredients

cup
almond milk
unsweetened

banana
frozen
½
cup
spinach

tbsp
cacao powder
½
tbsp
vanilla extract

tbsp
almond butter
Instructions
Blend
banana, spinach and almond milk in blender until smooth.
Add
cacao and vanilla and blend again.
Pour
into a cup and enjoy.
Notes
Add in
homemade protein powder
for a protein boost.
Swap the almond milk with the
dairy-free milk
of your choice.
Add in 1 cup spinach to get the benefits of
leafy greens
.
