Join Jadah and Jen on the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge and drink a daily cup of nutritional goodness packed with your favorite fruits (and soon-to-be favorite leafy green veggies).
We know how difficult it can be to eat healthy and feel good— it can be complicated, time-consuming, and the end result might not even taste good (I spent hours making gluten-free maple scones once that were just like eating a plate of sand). Well, green smoothies are just the opposite. They are simple, easy to make and are a party in your mouth. They really are that good– just ask the 200,000 green smoothie rawkstars.
Downing two cups of spinach never tasted better…
Green smoothies are delicious, nutritious and life-changing. Are you ready to join us?!
With Simple Green Smoothies, you can boost your energy, lose weight effortlessly, and make healthy eating a lifestyle— not a diet.
The best part— the challenge is free!

Hi. I was wondering. About how often should I drink these green drinks? Should I substitute them for a meal? Should I just only drink this for a day/week/month (like a liquid diet) or do I just drink it with a meal, or as a snack(kind of)
Thank you for your time reading this and reply!
Hi Deborah! Thanks for asking
The last part of your question probably hits closest to what we encourage. We like to suggest drinking them regularly as a snack or breakfast substitute. For us, drinking green smoothies is about changing our lifestyles–eating healthy, staying active, not over-complicating our lives. Our bodies crave the nutrients that are in green smoothies, but they also crave nutrients in other foods that we don’t typically put in green smoothies. Now, some people do substitute a meal–or even multiple meals–with a green smoothie, but we do not suggest doing that to everyone–especially when first starting to drink them! Hope this helps!

I am so interested in the free thirty day challenge, I am enjoying all the comments from others and would like the opportunity to experience this. Is it possible to start this ASAP?
Hi Gen! OUr next live challenge in July 1, but you can also buy our 30-Day Green Smoothie eGuide (click here) and start a challenge asap (the eGuide is based off of our January challenge, which will be different from our July one. So you can carry on with us in July for some new recipes and tips as well).
You can follow us on Facebook and continue to read comments there, and also here on the website
That is great that you are loving the comments! We will continue to post pictures, tips, etc. to our social media sites and our webpage, but unfortunately we have to wait til July to do another LIVE challenge. We have to come up with some new ideas and recipes to share during the challenge, so we want to give ourselves enough time to put together something that everyone will enjoy
Stay in touch!
Hi Jadah and Jane I’m from Dominican Republic and completed my challenge and I’m very happy. Only I would like if possible for next challenge will use more tropical fruits or which we could replace. Thanks
Dolly,
It is so cool to hear about people drinking green smoothies all over the world! The down side to that is that it is tough to suggest fruits/veggies that work for everyone. What are some tropical fruits that you love that we didn’t use in our smoothies? Maybe you could make some recipes before the next challenge and send them to us for inspiration to help others enjoy tropical treats!
Thanks for mentioning this to us
I have been drinking a green smoothie instead of having dinner almost every night for about a month now and I feel GREAT! The best part is that I now have GLOWING GODDESS SKIN!!! All my life I’ve had combination skin and constant acne. Like most women, I would buy different face washes and creams, thinking that if I could only stumble upon the “right” product, then my face would be “saved”. Oh, the money I wasted and the disappointment when it actually didn’t give me the glowing goddess skin like it promised (surprise, surprise!!!). Needless to say, I no longer spend money on silly, expensive face creams that actually do more harm than good. I now realize that true beauty, indeed, comes from inside (pun intended!). No miracle face wash or cream can make the skin look good when one’s body is full of toxins. An ounce of detox is truly worth a pound of face cream. I go to work with zero make-up now (before I would powder my nose a bit), and every time I look into the mirror in the washroom I just LOVE my face and beautiful skin. I wish I had started drinking green smoothies when I was 16!!! I have been telling all my friends about it and a few are quite interested, esp. when they see the difference in my skin. I definitely want to keep doing this my entire life and recently I’ve even started drinking a green smoothie for breakfast also! (Oh by the way I use the Nutribullet so I’m not sure how it compares to the Vitamix but the Nutribullet has been wonderful so far.)
Hey y’all! Our class just finished our 30 day cleanse and I turned everyone on to the site here! fab recipes and encouragement. I haven’t lost any weight either but the dark puffy circles under the eyes are gone, along with my sugar and caffiene cravings! Yeah! and I feel like I wanna keep going since its getting hot out and better to lighten up the foods. Hopefully my body will eventually kick into losing with more outdoor exercise and sunlight! Thinking about a Nutribullet for the office.
Hello,
I am new to your site and excited to get started. I enjoy smoothies on occasion but am learning about enhancing them with the greens.
I would like to know if any of you have any experience or concerns with the “anti-greens” people that say the oxalate content is too high and that it promotes kidney stones and other health issues?
Thanks!
Can anyone tell me.. I only started my 30 day challenge today, do I have to do the recipes in order? Or can I mix them up a bit??
Hi Megan! You can absolutely mix them up! In fact, we encourage that
It keeps it fun, and practical for what your body needs.
Dear,
Today is my 18th day, and I only missed one. Each morning I start with one big glass of smoothie and I have a small portion left for afternoon. In the meantime I take some cottage cheese (cow or goat), nuts and dry fruits. Few times only during these 18 days I grabed a peace of chocolate. I haven’t had anything more to eat for days. I feel excelent and my skin is nicer, but I haven’t lost any weight. Which I expected. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi Izabela! Sounds like you have been eating pretty healthy and clean
Great job! What about physical activity? Have you been doing any kind of exercise? You could maybe try doing yoga, running/jogging/walking, riding your bike around town? Check out this link from a previous article on losing some weight

So I’m a 26 y/o female who dropped 40lbs from Jan 2012-Jan 2013. I run 3x a week about 3 miles each run and have recently started cycling. My doctor informed me today that he is putting me on cholesterol meds and I’m devastated. Do you know if green smoothies might be yet another lifestyle change that would benefit and any suggestions on recipes that might work best for that?
Hi Katy! Thanks for the question! Green smoothies would be a great thing to start drinking because they add healthy and much needed nutrients to your body. You may want to stay away from smoothies with avocado? Possibly coconut milk (not coconut water, though)? Those are two of the more fatty food items that are in some of recipes. This doesn’t mean you have to discard the whole recipe if it includes these things, though! You can substitute things like mango for avocado… Almond milk for coconut milk. Hope this helps! Would love to have you join our SGS community!
Bought my Vitamix at Costco for $375.
does anyone know where to find pomegranate in the off season?… I can find POM juice but no seeds
thanks!
I found some at Trader Joe’s
Hi Sasha! Lita has already given you a good lead. Some people do buy the POM juice and use it as part of their liquid base. Its OK if you can’t match the recipe exactly if you can’t find pomegranate
thank you!
I came to the party a bit late, (started Apr 9th), but I’m really enjoying my green smoothies! I still haven’t found the taste I’m looking for, but I’m experimenting. =)
Thanks for putting this challenge out there.
FYI, the two posts by cannonstrouck are obviously link spam and you might want to remove them. The funny part is that he put the links into the software wrong and the red shoes comment links to the bags website and vice-versa. I would have thought after the Penguin update people would have learned….
incredibly nice post, i surely love this webpage, keep on it
