We challenge you to drink one green smoothie a day… for 30 days.

All it takes is a blender, your favorite fruits, some dark leafy green veggies and 10 minutes in the kitchen daily. It’s hands down the healthiest fast food!

Two cups of fresh spinach never tasted so good…

During the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, we’ll be sending you weekly emails with shopping lists, recipes and tips to initiate you into our Green Smoothie tribe. Not only are green smoothies super fast to make, they also taste amazing. We pinky promise.

We have a rawkin’ green smoothie tribe that is passionate about spreadin’ the green smoothie love. We hope you join us! It all starts with the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, yet it doesn’t end there. Green smoothies are a lifestyle habit that usually continues way beyond 30 days.

During the challenge, you should still eat regular meals and move your body. Heck, you can even still drink soda, eat ice cream and maybe even a bag of chips (we aren’t here to judge). Yet by the end of the 30 days, we have a feeling you aren’t gonna want all those things as much as you used to (and we’ll celebrate with you!).

Your body’s gonna be transformed from the inside out!

Get ready to crave real foods with natural vitamins and minerals that’ll truly nourish you.

We are passionate about helping you boost your energy, lose weight effortlessly, and make healthy eating a lifestyle— not a diet.

— Jen & Jadah

“I strayed from my diet and started eating breads, pasta, and a few processed foods and not doing my juicing and smoothies. I felt tired and trashed until your challenge got me back on track! I have stuck to it and your shopping lists were the bomb.”

— Bobbi Jo

“I’ve lost around 3 pounds and quite a few inches, all thanks to green smoothies. My fiancé and I used to be on the all-carbs-all-the-time plan, and now we can’t go a day without a green smoothie. Thank you for inspiring me to take this challenge!”

— Emily Shell (and Rodney)

“I’m certainly no chef, so the fact that the entire smoothie process from refrigerator to cleaning takes 10 minutes is delightful; feels like I’m getting away with something! I can feel the difference and now fit into a size smaller pants.”

— Rachel Camp

I strayed from my diet and started eating breads, This was my first Green Smoothie Challenge (or any challenge). I’m proud to say I completed it! I officially lost six pounds. I truly believe a big part of the weight loss is thanks to the smoothies. I got the vital nutrients my body was missing.

— Lindsay Willey

“I’m on day 41 of at least one green smoothie a day. It’s been an incredible experience for me and even more importantly…. I’m almost 5 months pregnant with my 3rd son yay! I needed this more than you know. So, thank you for everything you all do.”

— Krystal Smartt

“I went into it thinking I’d try it every now and then, but you guys made it super easy. I kept to it every single day. I’ve replaced lunch with a smoothie, and I don’t feel ravenous. I’ve lost the ten pounds I’ve been waiting to lose before baby #2!”

— Sylia Abadi

“The best part was seeing my kids beg for my smoothies. My oldest son, who is 3 1/2, has Down syndrome and he is one picky eater. But he loved these! I’m looking forward to keeping with the habit and sharing with my kids.”

— Tara Cherry

“This challenge has changed my life forever. I feel more energy, optimistic and healthy from the inside out. I’m planning on getting pregnant and wanted new healthy habits that nourish me. I’m more aware of what I eat and what is good for my body.”

— Saly Minier

The idea of drinking spinach was a turn off at first. I’ve tried several diets and get bored easily. Since starting the Challenge I’ve lost 10 pounds! I’m sleeping a lot better, have more energy, and make better choices when it comes to my other meals throughout the day!

Hi. I’m interested in transitioning into clean eating diet, but have been reluctant to Green smoothies because of the texture. I also have lots of problems with bloating & gas after I eat. I’m hoping a clean diet will help with some of the gi stuff, but wondered I should start slowly with something like a daily green smoothie, to minimize gi issues?. Also do you have a meal plan for beginners?. Thanks. Tracy

      Hi Tracy,

Thank you so much for reaching out! New to green smoothies? While we love that green smoothies are high in fiber which is great for digestion, but for newbies, the high fiber can shock your body. Make sure you drink lots of water to help flush things out. And if you’re new to green smoothies one serving a day is enough, which is 2 cups (16 ounces).

Worried about the texture? Check out our tips for blending the perfect green smoothie here…

I am 75, female, and just getting into smoothies. Have tried your easy spinach smoothie and loved it. I am thinking of taking the 30 day challenge, but I am concerned about the amount of water. My aging bladder has real trouble handling all the water. I might as well just spend the day in the bathroom! I seem ok with the smoothie with almond milk. How important is the water? I seem better with periodic cups of herbal tea, but still cant really handle more than about 5 cups a day. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jo

Hello, I just bought a Nutri Ninja Pro Blender and am wondering if your recipes are designed for single drink blends or larger pitchers. I’m currently looking at your “Simple Green Smoothies” book on Amazon and would appreciate knowing if a 24oz blending cup will be enough.

    • SGS Rawkstar 5.23.2016 at 7:06 am #

      Hi Bob,

Great question! We love NutriNinja! When blending with a personal sized blender we suggest halving our recipes and adding a little additional liquid base to ensure everything blends smoothly. Hope this helps!

      • Bob 5.28.2016 at 8:06 pm #

That helps a lot. Thank you! :)

Awesome. Thanks. Absolutely love your site by the way. Tempted to buy the recipe cards too (when I’m less broke) in order to spice up my blends a bit.

  7. Chris 5.17.2016 at 7:30 pm #

So the wife and I just tried or first green smoothie. It was the beginner’s luck. I liked it but she was not a fan of the banana, it is the strongest flavor. So I’ll be trying it again tomorrow, but using strawberries or cherries or something like that. I’ll be hitting the 30 day challenge in July. Awesome website!

    • SGS Rawkstar 5.18.2016 at 7:31 am #

      Hi Chris,

YAY! We’re so excited to hear you enjoyed your first green smoothie! If your wife finds that she’s not a fan of bananas in her green smoothies, some great substitutes are mango, papaya, pear, unsweetened applesauce, nut butters, chia seeds, fresh dates, and avocado (won’t add sweetness, but the creaminess we love). Learn more about our favorite banana-free recipes here…

We’re counting down the days until our January 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge!!

  8. Samantha 5.13.2016 at 7:47 am #

I have a random question. I see that your recipes call for water and almond milk like stuff. Is there a way that I could possibly just substitute natural 100% juice in place of the water or even regular milk? Or is that taking away from the green smoothie?

    • Patricia Raschel 5.14.2016 at 7:52 am #

The goal is to drink clean. Dairy milk is loaded with hormones, chemicals, etc. and drinking another species milk is just unnatural. I suggest cashew milk. It’s delish! Good luck to you!

    • SGS Rawkstar 5.18.2016 at 7:29 am #

      Hi Samantha,

Great question! We love using a variety of liquid bases, including fresh squeezed juices! The thing to keep in mind about fruit juices is their high sugar content. When using fresh squeezed fruit as a liquid-base, be sure to use plenty of raw leafy greens and low glycemic fruits (berries, peaches, apples) to balance out the sugar content. You can also add water to your juice base— like 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice and 1 cup water.

Looking for dairy? It’s all about finding what works for you + your body! Personally we avoid dairy. It’s one of the top undiagnosed food allergies and can be pretty tough on your digestion, therefore you won’t see it in our recipes. But if you love cow’s milk, and cow’s milk loves you…go for it!

Learn more about our favorite liquid base options here…

  9. Joyce 5.10.2016 at 12:51 pm #

I want to sign up for the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, but I want to know what type of fruits and greens are contained in the smoothies because some fruits are high in sugar. Sugar turns to fat so I don’t want to make smoothies with high sugar fruits.

    • SGS Rawkstar 5.10.2016 at 5:37 pm #

      Hi Joyce,

Thank you so much for reaching out + sharing your interest in joining our 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge! Concerned about the natural sugars in our recipes? Each smoothie has 3 cups of fruit in it, and it is recommended that an adult has 1.5 to 2 cups of fruit a day. When you drink 16oz of our green smoothie recipe you will be meeting, or just under your daily intake for fruit. If you feel like that is too much fruit, feel free to do 2 cups of fruit in each smoothie with 3 cups of leafy greens. Hope that helps. :)

  10. LaJuana 5.10.2016 at 8:00 am #

Hi, I just joined the 30 day challenge. I’ve had smoothies before every now and then, but not on a regular basis. Tomorrow I will be having oral surgery and will only be able to drink liquids for a month or two max. I was told to try liquid meal replacement drinks, but I’ve had those before and they all contain milk which I can’t tolerate. Will I be able to consume smoothies alone without becoming malnourished?

    • SGS Rawkstar 5.10.2016 at 11:08 am #

      Hi LaJuana,

Oh no, wishing you a speedy recovery! You can definitely use your green smoothie as a meal replacement for up to two meals. We suggest adding protein + healthy fats to ensure you’re fueling your body with a complete meal. Learn more about our favorite meal replacement booster combos here…
