The 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge

We challenge you to drink one green smoothie a day… for 30 days.

All it takes is a blender, your favorite fruits, some dark leafy green veggies and 10 minutes in the kitchen daily. It’s hands down the healthiest fast food!

Two cups of fresh spinach never tasted so good…

During the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, we’ll be sending you weekly emails with shopping lists, recipes and tips to initiate you into our Green Smoothie tribe. Not only are green smoothies super fast to make, they also taste amazing. We pinky promise.

We have a rawkin’ green smoothie tribe that is passionate about spreadin’ the green smoothie love. We hope you join us! It all starts with the 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge, yet it doesn’t end there. Green smoothies are a lifestyle habit that usually continues way beyond 30 days.

During the challenge, you should still eat regular meals and move your body. Heck, you can even still drink soda, eat ice cream and maybe even a bag of chips (we aren’t here to judge). Yet by the end of the 30 days, we have a feeling you aren’t gonna want all those things as much as you used to (and we’ll celebrate with you!).

Your body’s gonna be transformed from the inside out!

Get ready to crave real foods with natural vitamins and minerals that’ll truly nourish you.

We are passionate about helping you boost your energy, lose weight effortlessly, and make healthy eating a lifestyle— not a diet.

— Jen & Jadah

“I strayed from my diet and started eating breads, pasta, and a few processed foods and not doing my juicing and smoothies. I felt tired and trashed until your challenge got me back on track! I have stuck to it and your shopping lists were the bomb.”

— Bobbi Jo

“I’ve lost around 3 pounds and quite a few inches, all thanks to green smoothies. My fiancé and I used to be on the all-carbs-all-the-time plan, and now we can’t go a day without a green smoothie. Thank you for inspiring me to take this challenge!”

— Emily Shell (and Rodney)

“I’m certainly no chef, so the fact that the entire smoothie process from refrigerator to cleaning takes 10 minutes is delightful; feels like I’m getting away with something! I can feel the difference and now fit into a size smaller pants.”

— Rachel Camp

I strayed from my diet and started eating breads, This was my first Green Smoothie Challenge (or any challenge). I’m proud to say I completed it! I officially lost six pounds. I truly believe a big part of the weight loss is thanks to the smoothies. I got the vital nutrients my body was missing.

— Lindsay Willey

“I’m on day 41 of at least one green smoothie a day. It’s been an incredible experience for me and even more importantly…. I’m almost 5 months pregnant with my 3rd son yay! I needed this more than you know. So, thank you for everything you all do.”

— Krystal Smartt

“I went into it thinking I’d try it every now and then, but you guys made it super easy. I kept to it every single day. I’ve replaced lunch with a smoothie, and I don’t feel ravenous. I’ve lost the ten pounds I’ve been waiting to lose before baby #2!”

— Sylia Abadi

“The best part was seeing my kids beg for my smoothies. My oldest son, who is 3 1/2, has Down syndrome and he is one picky eater. But he loved these! I’m looking forward to keeping with the habit and sharing with my kids.”

— Tara Cherry

“This challenge has changed my life forever. I feel more energy, optimistic and healthy from the inside out. I’m planning on getting pregnant and wanted new healthy habits that nourish me. I’m more aware of what I eat and what is good for my body.”

— Saly Minier

The idea of drinking spinach was a turn off at first. I’ve tried several diets and get bored easily. Since starting the Challenge I’ve lost 10 pounds! I’m sleeping a lot better, have more energy, and make better choices when it comes to my other meals throughout the day!

— Amanda Landreth

PSST… Having issues signing up?

Some days we have thousands of people joining the challenge at the same time. This makes our server very unhappy and it stops working for a moment (kinda like when we are overworked and just need a little break on the couch).

If that doesn’t work, let’s try “Plan C”— contact our rawkstar team via email and we will help you out.

I made my first green smoothie yesterday and I’m loving it! I have a question. Why do you recommend eating 30-60 minutes after you drink your smoothie? Thanks!

I started drinking green smoothies solely as an easy way to lose weight. I replace 2 meals a day with a 32 oz green smoothie (I add protein powder and snack on almonds or cashews throughout the day). I’m on day 7 and can already tell that this is going to be a lifestyle change for me! I’m hooked! These things are delicious and I feel great! I have tons of energy and I stay full all day long! I love how simple it is, no counting calories, carbs or grams of sugar! The best part is my pants are already loser! Whoop! Whoop! #GreenSmoothiesRawk

  8. Mally 11.15.2014 at 1:52 pm #

Hi there, girls! I need some help. I’m getting married in 10 months and I would be so embarrassed if i had to walk down the isle looking the way i do. I’m totally on board with the smoothies but i have a few questions! Like, if i’m on a budget, can i use a cheaper blender? Can i buy non-organic produce? Is there a supplement i should take? Should i use these smoothies as meal substitutions? How many should i have a day?

I would love to lose about 70 pounds before my wedding! I want to do this, but i want to do it correctly!! :)

    • SGS Rawkstar Jessie 11.17.2014 at 10:32 am #

      Hey Mally.

Know we are cheering you on, wishing you all the best for the special day and your lifetime of health! :)

This is not a fast or a restrictive diet, so you can eat regular meals during this challenge. We are making healthy lifestyle changes that will last a lifetime! Our goal for you is to drink at least one 2-cup serving green smoothie a day in addition to your regular diet. If you would like, you can replace 1 or 2 meals with green smoothies. If you drink green smoothies as meal replacements, make sure to add a protein boost (plant-based protein powder, nut milk, nut butter), or snack on some nuts or a hard-boiled egg 30-60 minutes after you drink your green smoothie.

If you want to take your health to the next level, we recommend checking out our Fresh Start 21 Cleanse. This is a step-by-step meal plan, with daily green smoothie recipes and whole food meal recipes created by a holistic nutritionist.

(Since we are not doctors or nutritionists, we suggest that any member of community with health concerns to speak to their healthcare provider to confirm that a cleanse would be beneficial for their body. )

Though people can see weight loss, our company isn’t focused on weight, rather focus on eating whole foods. :)

You can do it, Mally. :)

  20. Sri 10.23.2014 at 1:00 pm #

Hi i want to know, what size should be an ideal cup sizze ?? also wondering will we get enough protein content if we strictly follow the 21 days meal recipes. Thank you !

    • SGS Rawkstar Jessie 10.24.2014 at 7:56 am #

      Good morning Sri.

      1 cup is 8 ounces. :)

Protein comes in many forms, not just from meat. You can get protein from great plant-based sources too— like nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes. Nuts, seeds, and legumes have particularly high levels. There’s also a myth about how much protein most people actually need. According to Dr. T. Colin Campbell, the author of China Study, 8 to 10 percent of your calories should come from protein. If you’re an athlete that can increase to 10 to 15 percent to support tissue repair. For example, if you need to eat 2,000 calories in a day, you’d want about 200 calories to come from a protein source. The amount of protein required for each person is not the same, and varies depending on one’s weight, age, activity level, health, and loads of other variables. The recommended protein intake is therefore quite controversial, as it really needs to be individually assessed by a certified nutritionist for an accurate result.

This cleanse is a balanced, whole foods program that’s designed to detoxify your body, but not deprive or starve you. That’s why we include ingredients like lentils (18 grams of protein per cup), black beans (15 grams per cup), chickpeas (12 grams per cup), quinoa (9 grams per cup), almonds/almond butter (8 grams per 1/4 cup/7 grams per 2 tablespoons). We made sure to include enough protein in every meal and snack throughout the meal plan (this helps keep your junk-food cravings at bay, too).

      Hope that helps. :)
