We are big believers in creating smoothies that aren’t just healthy, but also taste amazing. This is one of those smoothies that is extra delicious. Cacao powder not only adds amazing chocolate flavor, it also adds antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.

Cherries are one of our favorite ingredients, especially when they are in season. But during the rest of the year, we love blending up frozen cherries. Tart cherries can help muscles recover after working out. They are also full of dietary fiber, vitamin A, potassium, and even a little bit of calcium. The nutrients in cherries can help support muscle, heart, kidney, and nerve cell functions. And get this – cherries contain melatonin. That means sipping this smoothie can help your body if you’re suffering from jetlag. What can’t cherries do?!

Chocolate Covered Cherry Green Smoothie Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2
This antioxidant-packed green smoothie is a healthy indulgence that will satisfy any sweet tooth.


  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 cups almond milk unsweetened
  • 2 cups cherries pitted
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbs cacao powder


  1. Blend spinach and almond milk until smooth.
  2. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again.

Recipe Notes

*Use frozen fruit to make smoothie cold.
