This Mango Orange Green Smoothie is bright, refreshing, and perfect when you want something light yet nourishing. It blends sweet mango, juicy orange, and creamy banana with a full cup of spinach—without tasting “green” at all. If you’re easing into green smoothies or want a citrusy change-up, this one’s a winner.

Why You’ll Love It

  • This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
  • If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
  • Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Mango Orange Green Smoothie Ingredients

  • Spinach: Fresh or frozen both work well
  • Coconut water: Adds hydration and subtle sweetness
  • Orange: Peel first to avoid bitterness
  • Frozen mango: Key for thickness and tropical flavor (check out how to cut mango for prep tips)
  • Banana: Adds creaminess and balance

Recipe Tips

  • If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
  • If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.
  • This smoothie is perfect for advance prep. Turn it into freezer packs by portioning the fruit and spinach ahead of time. When you’re ready, dump everything into the blender, add liquid, and blend. I share more tips in my guide to frozen meal prep smoothie packs.
  • A good blender makes all the difference when blending leafy greens and frozen fruit. If you’re shopping around or upgrading, check out my recommendations for blenders for smoothies to find one that fits your needs and budget.

Another great recipe! Loved it. Don’t even taste the mango. Sweet and spinachy!

  2. Double yummy!! Mango Orange is my second favorite of all after Beginner’s Luck. Coconut water is my go to liquid because it’s so hydrating so this one is a win.

Yum!! Great for the whole family as they loved the sweetness from the banana with the flavors of mango and orange! Definitely a keeper!

  4. This Mango Madness day 5 smoothie was really good. This was my traveler’s smoothie. This weekend was spent getting three of my children back to college. It was a lot of driving and staying over at my sisters. I made last night at her house and grabbed it this morning as I left to drive back home, about a 5 hour drive. I was worried about the coconut water, because about 40 years ago I had some fresh from a just picked coconut and I didn’t like it. Since then I’ve avoided it but today I do drink it in the smoothie and I could taste it and guess what? I really like it. The smoothie was really good and a nice refresher for the drive home.

This is the perfect winter smoothie. All of the vitamin C will keep all those nasty bugs away. It was delicious and will for sure be a part of our smoothie rotation!

Swapped out mango for peaches. It was ok. Days 3 and 4 were our favorites so far.
Can’t wait for next 5 days! Back to school tomorrow for all too so hopefully we can blend these in the morning quickly for all.

Today, day five, I did Very Berry which was posted for day four. The color was not very appealing and the taste not my favorite.

Super yummy. I added a piece of kale and went with plain water rather than the coconut water since this is a sweet one. But we loved it. Definitely one to go back to. Especially this winter.

Probably my second favorite smoothie. Oddly, I don’t like mango on its own, but something about it in smoothies works for me.

Loved this smoothie! Each one seems to be better than the last! Looking forward to the next 5 days.
(Added a small amount of hemp hearts and flax seeds). After reading other comments about bloating etc., I will add some turmeric and ginger in upcoming smoothies.
