This Mango Orange Green Smoothie is bright, refreshing, and perfect when you want something light yet nourishing. It blends sweet mango, juicy orange, and creamy banana with a full cup of spinach—without tasting “green” at all. If you’re easing into green smoothies or want a citrusy change-up, this one’s a winner.

Why You’ll Love It

  • This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
  • If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
  • Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Recipe Tips

  • If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
  • If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.
  • This smoothie is perfect for advance prep. Turn it into freezer packs by portioning the fruit and spinach ahead of time. When you’re ready, dump everything into the blender, add liquid, and blend. I share more tips in my guide to frozen meal prep smoothie packs.

This one was pretty good. I do love citrus in my smoothies, so I’m sure that helped. I’m not a fan of mango. I did add some chia seed to this one to super food it up!

I enjoyed this smoothie very much. I made sure to remove the skin from the orange this time. Put it in my pretty peacock feather tervis and took is shopping with me.

Made recipe as is with no changes or additions. Great smoothie…fruity and delicious!

Great smoothies. I added coconut yogurt and made it even a smoother. Also, ran out of spinach and used kale.

I love this smoothie, except for peeling the orange and having half of it left over. I saw that others were using Mandarins, so I am going to try that the next time I make it. I love the flavor, though. I can’t eat oranges straight, but had no trouble with it blended in a smoothie, especially with mango. I love mango!

  6. Quite a runner that one! I think it may even surpass the Beginner’s Luck as for taste, for me!! Love mangos, more than pineapples ! And with a kale cube added, it added a touch of freshness that was welcomed!

  7. I had to sub water for coconut water and kale for spinach plus I added glow protein powder. Delicious!

Mangos are my all-time favourite fruit! So there was a pep in my step today as I drank my mango madness smoothie. Whohoo !! I use frozen mangos from Costco and they are excellent !

This one was good, but not my favorite so far. I added kale, used regular water (don’t like the taste of coconut anything), mandarines instead of orange. My mango didn’t ripen up like I had hoped so didn’t have as much sweetness so this could have affected the overall taste. I do like the combo of ingredients. Will try again with a nicely ripened mango.

I didn’t realize that coconut water expires within 24hrs so I had to use regular water. It wasn’t the best.

Day Five. Yes, I really loved how the orange shined through this smoothie. It was just a touch of sweet. I really like how smooth it is and how refreshing it is.

This was the best smoothie yet on this challenge! We added Chia seeds however you could not take them. We are making this smoothie again and again.
    Thank you!

Really good, as usual . I really love when they are a pretty green color.

  14. Day 5’s mango madness smoothie is a winner! I used a mandarin vs orange & turned it into a meal replacement by adding 2 tbls chia seeds & 1 tbls coconut oil. Very filling!
