This Mango Orange Green Smoothie is bright, refreshing, and perfect when you want something light yet nourishing. It blends sweet mango, juicy orange, and creamy banana with a full cup of spinach—without tasting “green” at all. If you’re easing into green smoothies or want a citrusy change-up, this one’s a winner.

Why You’ll Love It

  • This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
  • If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
  • Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Mango Orange Green Smoothie Ingredients

  • Spinach: Fresh or frozen both work well
  • Coconut water: Adds hydration and subtle sweetness
  • Orange: Peel first to avoid bitterness
  • Frozen mango: Key for thickness and tropical flavor (check out how to cut mango for prep tips)
  • Banana: Adds creaminess and balance

Recipe Tips

  • If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
  • If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.
  • This smoothie is perfect for advance prep. Turn it into freezer packs by portioning the fruit and spinach ahead of time. When you’re ready, dump everything into the blender, add liquid, and blend. I share more tips in my guide to frozen meal prep smoothie packs.
  • A good blender makes all the difference when blending leafy greens and frozen fruit. If you’re shopping around or upgrading, check out my recommendations for blenders for smoothies to find one that fits your needs and budget.

Delicious and smooth – can’t taste the spinach at all which almost doesn’t feel like drinking a green smoothie.

This smoothie was delicious! I love tropical fruits and this was perfect! Definitely making this one again!

Loved this smoothie. I was skeptical when I saw coconut water in the ingredient list this week, as I do not like coconut, but I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no strong coconut flavor!

AMAZING! Just do it, this was delish, I ran out of coconut water so had to do 1/2 water and it was still awesome!

  5. Absolutely loved this recipe!!! I would never think to put mango and orange together.

I found this to be quite yummy. I knew it would be a sweet smoothie so I subbed cauliflower for the banana and was really happy with the flavor!

YUM! This smoothie is so delightful!! Our banana was so small so I threw in an extra one. Can’t have too much banana. 🙂

This drink is what dreams are made of. It is so, so, so incredibly good!! Side note for those having trouble blending oranges: I was using a fairly decent blender from a big box store but it just could not do oranges. It would never blend oranges down to a smooth consistency. I recently took the plunge and bought a Kitchen Aid high performance blender. Holy mother of Pete, is that thing awesome!! It blends oranges down to the smoothest texture ever. It’s like sipping a cloud.

I thought this smoothie had great flavor. I seem to have a hard time with blending the oranges into a smooth consistency so the smoothie was a bit chunky but tasted good!

This one really took me by surprise. I’m not usually a big fan of oranges in my smoothies, but yum! I love to add some greek yogurt in there as well for a boost of creaminess and protein! Love rawkin’ these green smoothies everyday!

This was really tasty only my tummy felt a little off afterwards but soon subsided!
Still getting used to the greens I guess! Used one cup of coconut water as I usually
buy the 520ml cans and seeing as we’re using it again would like to finish it off the second
day so it doesn’t get stale.
