This Mango Orange Green Smoothie is bright, refreshing, and perfect when you want something light yet nourishing. It blends sweet mango, juicy orange, and creamy banana with a full cup of spinach—without tasting “green” at all. If you’re easing into green smoothies or want a citrusy change-up, this one’s a winner.

Why You’ll Love It

  • This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
  • If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
  • Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Mango Orange Green Smoothie Ingredients

  • Spinach: Fresh or frozen both work well

Recipe Tips

  • If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
  • If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.
  • This smoothie is perfect for advance prep. Turn it into freezer packs by portioning the fruit and spinach ahead of time. When you’re ready, dump everything into the blender, add liquid, and blend. I share more tips in my guide to frozen meal prep smoothie packs.

Made as a meal replacement and added chia seeds. A little thicker than I like but it is delish!

This was my first time using coconut water. I don’t really like coconut for the texture. But this was good. I’ll certainly use it more often. I used a frozen mango/pineapple mix. Was in a hurry. Getting ready for church. Forgot the banana. Will take more time prepping orange next time. Still delicious.

A big fan of coconut water. Much better than almond milk. A refreshing tropical taste. Really appreciate the analysis behind every recipe and the fun facts. It shows your passion.

Yummy! I did not exepct to like it this much as I’m not really a mango fan but it’s good and I will make it again.

I turned this smoothie into a meal replacement by adding tofu and chia seeds AND I gave it a boost with spirulina powder AND I added parsley and mint for a little bit more of a healthy boost. After all was said and done, it was a delicious, healthy and filling smoothie but I think I lost some of the sweetness. Still tasty and would try again as the recipe was intended.

Great tropical smoothie. Has strong coconut flavor from coconut water so if you don’t coconuts you should change the liquid. I love the flavors

I think this smoothie is deceptive. It’s starts out a bit flavorless, but then it hits you! Nicely done!

  8. Another awesome recipe. Tropical and refreshing. My toddler asked for more and that is a win! I added flaxseed and protein to mine. Eating more protein to my diet per doctor orders. also trying to increase my Omega 3 which I am very low in.

It was so easy to make! It tasted great, but it’s the first green smoothie I’ve made. I might like another one even more! My husband wants to do the 10 day challenge with me! He has type 2 diabetes, and I’ve been looking at the carb count. Do you think the benefits outway the carbs?

    1. Hi Anne! You can reduce the amount of natural sugars in your smoothies by flipping the ratio of leafy greens and fruit. You can also use low-glycemic fruits in your smoothies. I encourage your husband to speak with his doctor if he has any questions regarding how the smoothies will affect him.
