This Mango Orange Green Smoothie is bright, refreshing, and perfect when you want something light yet nourishing. It blends sweet mango, juicy orange, and creamy banana with a full cup of spinach—without tasting “green” at all. If you’re easing into green smoothies or want a citrusy change-up, this one’s a winner.

Why You’ll Love It

  • This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
  • If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
  • Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Mango Orange Green Smoothie Ingredients

  • Spinach: Fresh or frozen both work well
  • Coconut water: Adds hydration and subtle sweetness
  • Orange: Peel first to avoid bitterness
  • Frozen mango: Key for thickness and tropical flavor (check out how to cut mango for prep tips)
  • Banana: Adds creaminess and balance

Recipe Tips

  • If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
  • If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.
  • This smoothie is perfect for advance prep. Turn it into freezer packs by portioning the fruit and spinach ahead of time. When you’re ready, dump everything into the blender, add liquid, and blend. I share more tips in my guide to frozen meal prep smoothie packs.
  • A good blender makes all the difference when blending leafy greens and frozen fruit. If you’re shopping around or upgrading, check out my recommendations for blenders for smoothies to find one that fits your needs and budget.

Loved this! Modified as I can’t have oranges so I just used mangoes and as usual put more spinach and less fruit but this was truly amazing and probably one of my favourites for flavour so far.

Using a smaller piece of banana and a mandarin orange along with the mango, it was more than sweet enough so I used plain water instead of coconut water. It was still too sweet but 1/2 of a juiced lime did the trick. I subbed collard greens and cilantro for the spinach. I also added some unsweetened Paleo pumpkin protein powder to make this more of a meal replacement.

This is my favorite. I used blood oranges so the color was a bit darker. I love using coconut water to mix the smoothies.

Love this smoothie! So fresh, but also sweet. I swapped the orange for pineapple, as I don’t like orange in smoothies.

I thought Mango Madness smoothie was really good; my husband said it was “okay,” but he’s still not used to drinking spinach. My mango was not quite ripe. I didn’t have any coconut water so I used tap water instead. For my half I added chia seeds, pea protein powder and a stick of celery.

This smoothie was good, but I didn’t have coconut water that didn’t have sugar, so it was a bit on the sweet side for me. The coconut water also overpowered the mango flavor, to me anyways.

My 10 year daughter really enjoyed this smoothie – it is her favourite so far! The coconut water is a great additional and I like the taste together with the orange and mango! I added chia seeds which added extra health benefits to this amazing smoothie.

Yep, orange is my new fave in smoothies. I use honey tangerine, totally amazing. Coconut water was a nice touch, but would be pricey if used regularly.

I added greek yogurt, for protein, along with chis and flaxseed meal.
Was pretty good. I forgot the orange, which I am sure would have made it taste even better

This smoothie was sooo good. The coconut water and banana really completed the mango and upped the sweetness in this smoothie . It was delicious and one I will be rotating in to my smoothie list!
