Why You’ll Love It
- This smoothie hits that sweet spot between fresh and filling. Coconut water keeps it light and hydrating, while frozen mango and banana give it natural sweetness and a creamy texture. The spinach blends right in, adding nutrients without changing the flavor.
- If you’re still learning how to make a smoothie, this recipe is simple, forgiving, and great for building confidence.
- Spinach is one of my favorite leafy green vegetables for smoothies because it has a mild flavor and blends smoothly. Pairing it with citrus fruits like orange helps brighten the flavor and makes the greens virtually undetectable.

Recipe Tips
- If you ever find yourself with extra spinach, learning how to freeze spinach can save money and reduce food waste—plus frozen spinach blends beautifully.
- If your smoothie feels too thin, here are easy ways to make a smoothie thicker.
- This smoothie is perfect for advance prep. Turn it into freezer packs by portioning the fruit and spinach ahead of time. When you’re ready, dump everything into the blender, add liquid, and blend. I share more tips in my guide to frozen meal prep smoothie packs.

Notes
- Use at least one frozen fruit to make the smoothie cold or serve over ice.
- Swap spinach for the leafy greens of your choice.
- Swap coconut water with regular water.
- Use a plant-based protein powder like my protein powder recipe to cut down on the natural sugar in this smoothie.

We took the orange out so that it would be more Mango cream. Another lovely day with greens. I also tried a savory veggie only.
Yum! I love mango.
This was good. I had to substitute the orange for additional mango and a little extra banana. I would make this again
Day 5 Mango Madness, this is so delicious, I added kale, chia seeds, flax meal and cilantro!
I liked this but I will use less banana as it seems to take over the taste
Next time I will not add the banana to enjoy the mango and orange taste more.
Someone had finished off all the mango, so I had to sub peaches. I loved the tropical flavor and can’t wait to try it with mango. This was the first smoothie my son tried, and he liked it, too.
So good, mango goodness
Yummy! It was a refreshing drink.
Liked this one! Even better than beginners luck. Sweet and tropical. YUM!
Loved it! My new favorite!!
My kiddos drank this down so fast. It was a win for sure. We also added ginger
Modified slightly, I did not add banana and I doubled the mango. ABSOLUTELY my favorite so far. I am going to do this again and add a stalk of celery.
I loved this smoothie. So refreshing!
This is a winner. Loved the sweetness of the tropical fruit taste
Nice! Light, fruity, pretty color.
Very good… In a hurry so I used a whole cutie instead of half an orange and turned into a meal with coconut oil and chia seeds.
This one was ok. I didn’t have enough mango left so it didn’t taste as sweet.
Another yummy smoothie. Not too sweet, added kale and it changed the taste from the last four but so worth it!
After this mornings epic fail when I chopped up my plastic lid I decided to give this another try and a lot of things happened. I used a kale spinach blend and I added in a chia seed pudding cube (this was a result of a failure with the chia seed pudding) and it was the only thing I had to make it cold so I am essentially drinking a warm smoothie which I do not recommend. But otherwise good and I can see this one becoming a regular in the rotation.
