What should I eat while drinking green smoothies?

Question: Am I supposed to just drink green smoothies the rest of my life?
Answer: No way!

Whether you are doing a 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge or not, the goal is never to only drink green smoothies—we want you to eat normal meals, too! Having one green smoothie a day without even changing your regular diet moves you in the right direction towards healthy eating. That’s what the green smoothie lifestyle is all about!

However, if you’re looking for a little more guidance when it comes to what else you should be eating while you’re gulping the greens, we suggest you eat real food that is free of processed sugars and ingredients.

A general rule for us: “If you can’t pronounce it, don’t eat it.”

We love replacing one meal a day with a green smoothie or having it as a snack, but you can bump it up to two meal replacements if you’d like! When drinking a green smoothie as a meal replacement, make sure to add a protein boost (plant-based protein powder, nut milk, nut butter) and healthy fats (avocado, coconut oil) to complete your meal. Or, you can snack on some nuts or a hard-boiled egg 30-60 minutes after you drink your green smoothie. This will keep you satisfied throughout the day.

    32 oz for a smoothie is okay, right? I’m drinking it for breakfast and lunch

    OK ladies I need more of a challenge! I just got a Vitamix 3600 and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! But I have been drinking green smoothies for over a year and a half. I need something more challenging!
    I eat protein until noon, then vegetarian till bed. No processed foods or sugars, no four products, no red meat (not for 40 years!).

    So throw something at me more challenging!!
