- Banana brings natural sweetness and smooth texture that balances the greens. If you like thick smoothies, you can freeze bananas ahead of time.
- Mango adds extra creaminess, masks any “green” taste, and delivers vitamins A and C. For quick prep, check out my guide on how to cut mango.

Add more liquid, such as water, milk (dairy or non-dairy), or juice, a little at a time, and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
Yes, as long as the avocado isn’t overly brown or mushy. A slightly soft avocado is fine for blending.
While the banana contributes sweetness and creaminess, you could try using mango, pear, or even a bit of honey or maple syrup for sweetness. The texture might be slightly different.
Yes, frozen avocado chunks are available and work well in smoothies. They also help make the smoothie colder and thicker. For busy mornings, you can include them in frozen meal prep smoothie packs so you always have ready-to-blend ingredients on hand.
Yes! The bananas and avocados lend a creaminess to the whole smoothie while boosting the fiber and adding some natural sweetness for a quick energy boost. Avocados are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, reducing cardiovascular disease risk. They’re also rich in potassium, essential for balancing blood pressure.
They sure do. Bananas and avocados blend into a creamy, subtly sweet mix, ideal for smoothies. The banana’s sweetness masks the avocado’s mild flavor, creating a delicious and nutritious combination.

Not my favorite smoothie but it was refreshing and a nice change of pace. Would help if I had a better blender to get a smoother consistency.
So creamy, yummy and satisfying. Love this one
It was very good! A great way to start my day!
Overall the flavor was good and I think its a good way to get avocado and spinach into your diet. The texture was a bit thick (I think this depends on how big your avocado is) but definitely creamy which was nice.
It was very good! A great way to start my day!
Love it. Cool and refreshing.
It’s a sweet, thick and creamy milkshake. Very pleasantly surprised, Delicious !!
All your smoothies so far have tasted creamy and delicious, so I wasn’t surprised that it was the same. Added coconut water and almond butter since I didn’t have protein powder this morning. Thank you, for sharing, your recipes with all of us who enjoy smoothies, daily.
I love this smoothie because it’s not overly sweet. You can’t beat the high creaminess of this one either. I love adding lemon juice to this one as it helps bring out a bit of the flavor.
Yay, I’m glad you loved it! A splash of lemon juice is a great idea to brighten the flavors.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but it’s now one of my favorites! The mango with the spinach and avocado! Total yum!
I thought it was good. I did add some almond butter for protein because I didn’t have powder this morning.
I love the creaminess of this smoothie! The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the kids won’t touch it with avocado in it sadly.
This was so creamy and delicious! It’s actually the first time I’ve made this one but it will now be on my regular smoothie roster!
I am not a fan of avocado, but decided to give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t taste bad at all. The smoothie was very creamy and not overly sweet.
Love that you are trying new things Lisa!
Not one of my favorites. It was bland.
Excellent recipe, tastes great and is healthy.
Love that’s it’s minimal ingredients and quick to come together. Unfortunately, not very flavorful. A one sip reject from my kiddo.
OMG how amazing is this recipe. Love love love ❤
Very Creamy!!
Delicious! The ingredients in this smoothie work well together.
I love smoothies, but avocado is a no for me. It makes this smoothie creamy, but I don’t like the taste that avocado gives it. Everything else would work into a nice smoothie for sure
Agreed. I have an aversion to avocado’s texture so I wasn’t a fan of this recipe. It was hard to look at, let alone drink.
I love this smoothie! I’m a huge avocado fan love how creamy it makes your smoothie♥️ I make mine extra thick by adding ice and enjoy it like a frozen yogurt
It was okay. Not my favorite of the green smoothie options. I felt like the sweetness was greatly dependent on how sweet the banana was and for me, it wasn’t sweet enough. I would be tempted to add pineapple too next time to see if that might help!
