- Banana brings natural sweetness and smooth texture that balances the greens. If you like thick smoothies, you can freeze bananas ahead of time.

Yes, as long as the avocado isn’t overly brown or mushy. A slightly soft avocado is fine for blending.
While the banana contributes sweetness and creaminess, you could try using mango, pear, or even a bit of honey or maple syrup for sweetness. The texture might be slightly different.
Yes, frozen avocado chunks are available and work well in smoothies. They also help make the smoothie colder and thicker. For busy mornings, you can include them in frozen meal prep smoothie packs so you always have ready-to-blend ingredients on hand.

They sure do. Bananas and avocados blend into a creamy, subtly sweet mix, ideal for smoothies. The banana’s sweetness masks the avocado’s mild flavor, creating a delicious and nutritious combination.

Perfect sweetness. Avocado gives it a nice smooth consistency.

Hi Anna! Welcoming to our Summer Smoothie Challenge! Super exciting that this is your first one and that you and your husband are doing it together. Looking forward to seeing your feedback along the way. You guys RAWK!
Refreshing, smooth blend and great taste! The benefit of the avocado in the smoothie is a plus for me. I haven’t been able to stomach avocados unless in guacamole. Adding it to my smoothie today gave me the extra confidence needed to start adding it to my smoothies and not be able to taste it.
Also, I never blend my smoothies with just water and use any milk alternatives. The water measurements in this recipe was perfect for the smoothie consistency I prefer.
Hey Tara! That’s awesome that you found a way to get more avocado (AKA healthy fats) into your diet in a way that works for you! You rawk!

This smoothie tastes good and was filling!
The Smoothie was very good. I did make a tiny change. I used Almond Milk instead of water.
It’s very easy , satisfying and healthy recipe . I substitute spinach instead use Moringa and wheat grass powder . Added kiwi instead of mango due to not available in my kitchen I have to play with it and chocolate sunflower on it . My breakfast is a champion .Thanks for the recipe
Nice creamy smoothie, but lacks some flavor. I would add a little honey next time!
I love the combination of flavors in this smoothie!
I was surprised by how creamy & filling this Smoothie was. You don’t even taste the spinach either. I added protein powder to make it a meal.
Honestly, am enjoying my smoothie is soo refreshing and filling, just can’t wait for the next surprise. Thanks
I am impressed! For someone who is usually afraid of green smoothies this one has good flavor and the texture is smooth. Note that I used a banana and avocado that was more on the ripe side so it gave it a nice sweetness. The mango was somewhere lost in the background so I would probably add more mango next time.
Hi Dezirea! Way to get out of your comfort zone and give it a shot! So happy you liked it! 🙂
Yum! I’d put a bit more mango in it next time but really liked it!
I really enjoyed this smoothie! I used coconut water instead of tap water and I used a whole banana.
I love the creamyness of this smoothie.
I love the idea of spinach in this smoothie due to ready availabilty and freshness straight from my garden.
Maybe needs a bit more fruit to make it a touch sweeter, but that’s not the goal of this smoothie.
This smoothie was pretty good! The avocado adds creaminess and the mango and banana add sweetness. I thought it could use a little kick to elevate it so I added a sprinkle of ground ginger.
Avocado Banana Smoothie – tastes like it’s name! A hint of avocado and banana in a smooth and creamy base. The spinach and mango are almost hidden in this drink, adding just a note of fruity sweetness and a beautiful, fresh, green color. I found this healthful smoothie to be unexpectedly yummy.
Delicious and beautiful. A little on the sweet side, IMO. I used 1/2 almond milk & 1/2 water.
Loved this smoothie! So creamy and yummy!
