Ingredients You’ll Need
This smoothie keeps things simple with just five ingredients that work beautifully together. If you’re new to smoothies, check out my how to make a smoothie guide.
- Spinach: This is my favorite leafy green vegetable to use in smoothies. It’s high in fiber and nutrients and blends in completely without leaving any flavor.
- Water: A clean, neutral base that lets the fruit flavors shine.
- Orange: Brings natural sweetness and bright citrus flavor.
- Green grapes: Mild, juicy, and naturally sweet—great for smoothies.
- Frozen pineapple: Adds tropical flavor and creates a cold, creamy texture.

How to Make a Grape Smoothie
This green grape smoothie is quick to blend and beginner-friendly.
- Start by adding the spinach and water to your blender and blend until smooth. This helps prevent leafy chunks.
- Add the orange, grapes, and frozen pineapple, then blend again until creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of water to reach your preferred consistency.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy right away for the freshest flavor.

Recipe Tips for Best Results
- Check grapes for seeds before blending (I always use seedless grapes).
- Use frozen pineapple to chill the smoothie without ice. You can cut pineapple and freeze it yourself.
- If your grapes aren’t very sweet, add an additional natural sweetener.
- A high-speed blender for smoothies creates the smoothest texture, but any blender will work with a little extra blending time.
Grape Smoothie vs. Grape Juice
When it comes to “drinking” grapes, blending wins every time. Juicing removes the fiber, which helps slow digestion, supports gut health, and keeps blood sugar steady. Smoothies keep the whole fruit intact, giving your body the full package—fiber, nutrients, and natural sweetness—while also helping you feel full longer. That’s why I reach for smoothies like this green grape blend instead of juice.

- Use at least 1 frozen fruit for a refreshingly cool smoothie.

I love grapes but have never put them in my smoothie. Great idea. Will freeze them for the next time I make it.
Delicious and refreshing. Great pick up in the afternoon.
This smoothie a definitely a sweet treat! I’d cut back on the fruit to just a cup in the future but my kids loved it just they way it is. I added chia seeds and coconut oil to make it a meal +froze my grapes along with the pineapple
This was refreshing! I wasn’t sure how grapes would work in a smoothie, so I was surprised to see how well they blended up with the other fruits and spinach. I will definitely make this again!
I love using grapes in smoothies and the orange adds just enough acid to the mix.
A definite favorite. Who needs candy? This is sweet, as sweet can be. Looking forward to trying it with frozen red grapes next time.
Enjoyed 2days energised smoothie added a nod of fresh ginger 4 so extra zing
Day 2 of the smoothie challenge and I really enjoyed this Green Grape Smoothie…it is sweet and delicious and I think would make great popcicles in the summer!
The Green Grape Smoothie was delicious!
I used frozen banana and pineapple. I also used arugula and spinach for my greens.
Good amount of green grapes because I like that they are not as sweet as the red grapes.
The green grape smoothie is one of my favorites, I probably drink more of them in the
summer. Very refreshing, I think it’s the fact that the grapes have so much liquid.
I give it a 5 star.
Those green grape smoothie is sweet and would make a great dessert!
Very tasty! I did have to add additional water to get the spinach completely blended. I would definitely make this smoothie again.
Just processed a huge bowl of loquats today, so checked to see if there were any smoothie recipes that used them. I didn’t locate any, but expect they can substitute for mango, peach or pineapple reasonably well. If anyone has a smoothie recipe for loquats, I would love if you would post here and I would try it out.
Don’t skip the orange like I did! You’ll need it so it doesn’t get too thick. Tasty recipe
I was a little disappointed, there was not much flavor, very bland. It was too warm because of the fresh fruit. I had to add ice cubes to make it cold. I loved the idea of grape smoothie. Maybe if the grapes were frozen it would have brought out the flavor more.
Delicious! First time using grapes in a smoothie. Next time I will make sure to freeze the grapes and orange slices ahead of time as I prefer a more frozen smoothie.
Another 5 for flavor, 5 for well blended ingredients, and 5 for being a good smoothie! Using frozen ingredients made this drink refreshing!
Thanks for motivating me to eat more fruit. I opted to use green grapes which I would never have thought to use in a smoothie.
So refreshing and yummy. Odd that this mixture of fruit (grapes, orange, pineapple) tastes like a really nice apple. I’m going to make this smoothie often for sure.
Pretty darn good! It was a little thin and watery for what I’m used to. Perhaps I will add more spinach next time, or cut down on the water a little bit. But I really liked the flavors in this.
Green Grape Smoothie today was so refreshing and flavorful. Another superb blend with this one.
Another nice and easy recipe to put together. It was such a refreshing smoothie. My son was very happy too once he got past the “green”.LOL
