Ingredients You’ll Need
This smoothie keeps things simple with just five ingredients that work beautifully together. If you’re new to smoothies, check out my how to make a smoothie guide.
- Spinach: This is my favorite leafy green vegetable to use in smoothies. It’s high in fiber and nutrients and blends in completely without leaving any flavor.
- Water: A clean, neutral base that lets the fruit flavors shine.
- Orange: Brings natural sweetness and bright citrus flavor.
- Green grapes: Mild, juicy, and naturally sweet—great for smoothies.
- Frozen pineapple: Adds tropical flavor and creates a cold, creamy texture.

How to Make a Grape Smoothie
This green grape smoothie is quick to blend and beginner-friendly.
- Start by adding the spinach and water to your blender and blend until smooth. This helps prevent leafy chunks.
- Add the orange, grapes, and frozen pineapple, then blend again until creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of water to reach your preferred consistency.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy right away for the freshest flavor.

Recipe Tips for Best Results
- Check grapes for seeds before blending (I always use seedless grapes).
- Use frozen pineapple to chill the smoothie without ice. You can cut pineapple and freeze it yourself.
- If your grapes aren’t very sweet, add an additional natural sweetener.
- A high-speed blender for smoothies creates the smoothest texture, but any blender will work with a little extra blending time.
Grape Smoothie vs. Grape Juice
When it comes to “drinking” grapes, blending wins every time. Juicing removes the fiber, which helps slow digestion, supports gut health, and keeps blood sugar steady. Smoothies keep the whole fruit intact, giving your body the full package—fiber, nutrients, and natural sweetness—while also helping you feel full longer. That’s why I reach for smoothies like this green grape blend instead of juice.

Notes
- If you like it thicker, use less water (like 1/4 cup)
- Use green or red grapes, whichever you prefer (green are a bit more tart).
- Swap spinach with the leafy greens of your choice.
- Use at least 1 frozen fruit for a refreshingly cool smoothie.

So delicious and energizing. Yeah! I did it! I so enjoyed the creative way to incorporate veggies and fruits into my diet. Thanks Jen for the 10 day challenge to start off the new year! Way to go everyone!
NOt a big fan of grapes in my smoothie.
Iforgot to rate Day 10 Citrys Crush!! Definitely a 5 but w/o grapes. And subbed in mango for pineapple. Just crisp and good.
Would have been better if I had had spinach… had to use Kale and definitely could taste it but without that I think it would have been amazing
Don’t use grapes at all, so subbed cherries and no pineapple but used mango instead. I love oranges in these smoothies and will use more often. Light and tasty. Fun 10 day smoothue challenge! Sad it’s over!!
Light, refreshing and delicious! Tasted first as is, then boosted with cilantro and coconut milk smoothie cubes.
I subbed cucumber for the grapes and it was really good!
In the smoothie challenge, this smoothie is called “Citrus Crush.” Tasting it, I was thinking it doesn’t have nearly enough citrus flavor to be called “Citrus Crush,” and thinking about how to up the citrus flavor next time. However, I do like it. It is good-tasting, and I appreciate that it’s made with ingredients I always have in my fridge.
Was surprised at how good this was…out of my norm…loved it! thanks fellow RAWKSTAR #simplegreensmoothies
This one I changed a bit, no grapes so I used frozen mango. It was still delicious. I will try it with grapes eventually!
I wanted to like this one so bad, but I just don’t like the grapes in my smoothie. Maybe next time I’ll try kiwi instead!
Day 10 Citrus Crush aka Green grape smoothie was great ! I subd blueberries for grapes and it was like dessertyum!! I definitely will make again And this will go on my favorites list
Love this recipe. I can’t wait till I can find organic grapes to add in. I’m sure it’ll be more delicious. Thank you.
I loved the balance of flavor and sweetness in this smoothie. I did use coconut water in place of plain water. Great tropical feel to this one. Happy Rawkstar here!
The best for last! This smoothie had the right amount of sweetness and consistency to make it a winner in my book. I added some protein for extra nutrition but didn’t really change anything except a whole mandarin orange. They are much smaller than regular oranges.
Refreshing and yummy!
Day 10 Green grape smoothie – so good. I didn’t have an orange so used a bit of fresh oj it was good. I also added kale to this one, used almond milk and meal powder as this is a meal replacement. Completely surprised at how good this really turned out,
I subbed strawberries for grapes today and I absolutely loved this smoothie!
I wish I would have had an orange today but instead subbed a kiwi because that’s what I had. I also used coconut milk & it was quite delicious. Not a juice like I think it was suppose to be but yummy just the same
I’m so thankful I did this 10 day challenge. All the smoothies were delicious. Great way to get started making smoothies.
