How to remove the rind from a lemon
- Wash and dry the lemon before removing the peel.
- Using a vegetable peeler, peel the rind (like you would an apple). Leaving as much of the white pith on the lemon as possible. This has the most vitamix C of the entire lemon!
- Discard the rind and cut the lemon into quarters. This fleshy part of the lemon contains the fiber, and adding this to your smoothie will keep you feeling full longer.

Ingredients

- 1 tbsp raw honey
- ยฝ inch ginger root fresh
- 1 cup peach frozen
- ยฝ tsp ground turmeric
- 1 serving homemade protein powder optional

this was rather sour – guessing meijer lemon would have made this a little less tart? so I added double the honey and will keep on sipping……..I know the ingredients are healthy.

I was leery about the turmeric in this but it was not bad at all. This will be one I make again; The flavor is super fresh!
What a sunny delight to drink this smoothie. Thanks for a recipe I will certainly use again. For me, it helped to use half a lemon instead of a whole. I did use a vegetable peeler on the lemon like Jen mentioned possibly in the pre 10 day challenge intro live stream video. Itโs a wonderful way to get lots of the whole fruit. And the peel of the organic lemon will be great in tea, water, etc.
Day 4 Lemon Smoothie was tart and not refreshing and I love lemon flavoring.
Very tart I think my lemon was on the large size. I could not taste the peaches at all but the ginger was nice.

I loved the ingredients in this smoothie but it was very bitter. I left the white part on the lemons. It couldโve been the lemons I used because they were soft.
It’s a bright refreshing smoothie with a kick or maybe I added to much ginger lol. Get your body going with one.

I love lemons (drink daily in my water) as well as ginger and this was a refreshing change in my smoothie routine! Although not my favorite, I will keep in the rotation.
This one is okay…for me. It’s quite tart so if you like that, then you will love this smoothie!!! I also added in a scoop of vanilla protein powder which I think helped to reduce the tartness a bit!! Not my favourite but it certainly woke me up!!!!
