Health Benefits of a Lemon Peach Smoothie
Lemon: This smoothie calls for a whole lemon without the rind. Lemon flesh provides fiber to help you feel full longer. Lemons also give this smoothie a dose of vitamin C, which is just what your body needs to fend off both cold and flu viruses.
Peaches: Peaches are in the stone fruit family, and stone fruit gets its name from the hard, inner seed. They are an excellent source of vitamin C to support a healthy immune system. Peaches may also prevent certain types of cancer and aid in digestion.
Honey: Honey not only adds natural sweetness to this lemon smoothie, it’s also a natural energy booster. Look for raw honey in the baking aisle of your grocery store. Unlike pasteurized honey, Raw honey does not undergo the heating process, and all of the nutrients are preserved. Raw honey has antioxidant and natural anti-bacterial properties that can help improve digestive system as well as help you stay healthy.
Ginger: Ginger contains the anti-inflammatory compound gingerol. Ginger also helps promote healthy digestion, lower blood pressure, and increased immunity. Peel the skin from the ginger with a sharp paring knife before grating the flesh.
Turmeric: Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound. The medicinal effects of turmeric work at the molecular level to tame inflammation that leads to diseases like heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, and Alzheimerโs. Turmeric delivers antioxidants for boosting your immune system. If you don’t have access to fresh turmeric for your lemon smoothie, then you can swap in dried powdered turmeric. If using fresh, then use about a ยฝ tablespoon-sized knob. Peel the turmeric first, then grate before adding to the blender.
How to remove the rind from a lemon
- Wash and dry the lemon before removing the peel.
- Using a vegetable peeler, peel the rind (like you would an apple). Leaving as much of the white pith on the lemon as possible. This has the most vitamix C of the entire lemon!
- Discard the rind and cut the lemon into quarters. This fleshy part of the lemon contains the fiber, and adding this to your smoothie will keep you feeling full longer.
How to Make a Lemon Smoothie
Combine the frozen peaches, lemon, honey, ginger and turmeric in a high-power blender. Blend until creamy and smooth. Add water for a thinner consistency.
Make this immune-boosting lemon peach smoothie part of your weekly breakfast routine. Get healthy and energized as you sip on this delicious and wholesome smoothie.
Boosting with protein
If you’re looking to turn this smoothie into a meal, then I recommending boosting it with a plant-based protein powder. My protein powder recipe offers 10 grams of plant based protein, along with 4 grams of healthy fat and 7 grams of fiber.
Boosting smoothies like this lemon smoothie helps keep you full longer, as well as helps the body turn the natural sugar from this smoothie into useable energy.

If you blended a smoothie that tastes less than great, then try adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to it. Lemon can help brighten up that smoothie a bit, as well as bring the other flavors together.
If you find lemons a bit too tart for a smoothie, then try buying Meyer lemons. I can seriously eat these lemons by themselves, they are so sweet and juicy.

I loved it as I do love lemons. Refreshing and gave me energy.
It’s an okay smoothie, but not one of my favorites. I like ginger, lemon, peaches, and turmeric, but the predominant taste was the ginger/turmeric flavor. I think I was expecting more of a lemon flavor, based on the name of the smoothie. For health benefits, I would drink it again.
This smoothie was not as tart as we thought it would be and we actually enjoyed it.
We added a protein powder to it and made it our lunch meal replacement.
This was the smoothie with the question mark- didnโt know what it would taste like. I really did like the blend of the drink and it had the right amount of thickness. It was a little tart but I still liked it and drank all of it! Iโm in for another try! Next time I will use smaller lemons and do something with the peaches and honey.
I added a scoop of protein powder and a little more ginger. It was really tasty! It really added a energy boost to my morning and I love all the good for you ingredients!
4/10
Like the previous three better. I may try this one again in the summer. I prefer my lemon warm in the winter (lemon/honey and hot H2O).
Was a bit tart but not as much as I expected. I added chia and ground flaxseed and used canned peaches as we don’t have frozen peaches where I live.
will definitely do this again
I didn’t have fresh or frozen peaches and had to use the little plastic containers โ yuck! I did drain the light syrup rinsed the peaches and let drain, that didn’t help all that much! I also didn’t use the honey thinking the peaches would be plenty sweet along with the protein powder. I made a double batch and my husband seem to really like it. I will try again with fresh or frozen peaches next week.
Unfortunately this one was not our favorite, it was way too tart for our family. May have to try tweaking it to see if we can make it suit our tastes to add it into our rotation.
Also, we do our weekly smoothie prep on Sundays and the ingredients become frozen (we keep them stored in the freezer), which in turn makes us have to add much more liquid than the recipe calls for and my poor Vitamix sounds like it’s going to break ๐
I was really excited about this smoothie as I love lemons. However I bought regular lemons instead of meyer lemons so it was super tart and didn’t sit well. For that I would give it 1 star, but given it should of been meyer lemons I would say that smoothie would have been great!
Mango instead of peaches kinda bitter next time use peaches and less turmeric!!
IMO All of the recipes are so amazingly delicious. Any issues I might encounter are with the lack of quality of ing. In my area. I called mine Lemon pucker cause I upped the . Excellent recipe looks like a glass of
Wow! Pucker up! Had some heat from the ginger. I used a Meyer lemon so donโt think was as sour as a regular lemon would be. Very energizing.
Switched the water out with my probiotic milk kefir other than that the drink is tarty but totally delicious. I keep in mind that the 10 day challenge has recipes given in a specific order and that when done as prescribed the tummy feels great and so then does the body. This definitely feels like a cleanse smoothie.
Another thought is I do smoothies but after doing this challenge (on the 4th day) I realize the importance to change up the ingredients in the smoothie to give it a purpose and to help the body be fed different beneficial foods.
Wow…love the lemon taste on this smoothie! I substituted monkfruit for the honey and it still tasted great. This would be a great drink in the summer!
This was supper bad for me. I canโt figure out what I did wrong. While looking at other comments it seems as if I am the only one. Sorry but this one will return on my list of smoothies to make again. Feeling sad.
Wonderful! I substituted pineapple for peaches and used fresh turmeric and ginger and also coconut water
