Health Benefits of a Lemon Peach Smoothie
Lemon: This smoothie calls for a whole lemon without the rind. Lemon flesh provides fiber to help you feel full longer. Lemons also give this smoothie a dose of vitamin C, which is just what your body needs to fend off both cold and flu viruses.
Peaches: Peaches are in the stone fruit family, and stone fruit gets its name from the hard, inner seed. They are an excellent source of vitamin C to support a healthy immune system. Peaches may also prevent certain types of cancer and aid in digestion.
Honey: Honey not only adds natural sweetness to this lemon smoothie, it’s also a natural energy booster. Look for raw honey in the baking aisle of your grocery store. Unlike pasteurized honey, Raw honey does not undergo the heating process, and all of the nutrients are preserved. Raw honey has antioxidant and natural anti-bacterial properties that can help improve digestive system as well as help you stay healthy.
Ginger: Ginger contains the anti-inflammatory compound gingerol. Ginger also helps promote healthy digestion, lower blood pressure, and increased immunity. Peel the skin from the ginger with a sharp paring knife before grating the flesh.
Turmeric: Turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound. The medicinal effects of turmeric work at the molecular level to tame inflammation that leads to diseases like heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, and Alzheimerโs. Turmeric delivers antioxidants for boosting your immune system. If you don’t have access to fresh turmeric for your lemon smoothie, then you can swap in dried powdered turmeric. If using fresh, then use about a ยฝ tablespoon-sized knob. Peel the turmeric first, then grate before adding to the blender.
How to remove the rind from a lemon
- Wash and dry the lemon before removing the peel.
- Using a vegetable peeler, peel the rind (like you would an apple). Leaving as much of the white pith on the lemon as possible. This has the most vitamix C of the entire lemon!
- Discard the rind and cut the lemon into quarters. This fleshy part of the lemon contains the fiber, and adding this to your smoothie will keep you feeling full longer.
How to Make a Lemon Smoothie
Combine the frozen peaches, lemon, honey, ginger and turmeric in a high-power blender. Blend until creamy and smooth. Add water for a thinner consistency.

If you blended a smoothie that tastes less than great, then try adding a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to it. Lemon can help brighten up that smoothie a bit, as well as bring the other flavors together.
If you find lemons a bit too tart for a smoothie, then try buying Meyer lemons. I can seriously eat these lemons by themselves, they are so sweet and juicy.

This was refreshing. It did make me pucker a bit, and the heat from the ginger crept up at the end of a drink, but it was still enjoyable. It seems like it would be even more pleasant in the summer months. Iโm allergic to peaches so I substituted mangos and it was still tasty.
I did not enjoy this smoothie. It is healthy and I could drink it if I am under the weather and need an immune system booster, but it will not find a spot in my regular rotation. If you love ginger and love lemons then this is the smoothie for you. For me, it was too tart and tangy.
I loved the fresh citrus/ginger tang. Added extra ginger and included the lemon peel from my Meyer lemon as it is very sweet and tasty. Not sure how much of the peach flavor came through but with add addition of vanilla protein and collagen peptide powder is was very good.
The Perfect Lemon Smoothie is tart and has a thin consistency. After a few sips I added protein powder, Bubs Naturals collagen powder, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin C. I wasn’t hungry until dinner time.
This has been my favorite smoothie so far. I loved the lemon so much I made this smoothie Twice today.
Nice and tangy! So refrsshing! I love, love love it! Next time gonna try it with some protein powder.
Definite sunshine in a cup! The lemon, peaches, and ginger brighten the flavors, turmeric brings the spice, and honey mellows everything out. P.S. If you are new to turmeric in smoothies Iโd probably start with 1/8-1/4 teaspoon first and build up as you get used to the flavor.
Not my favourite. I agree that like an immune booster itโs okay. Consistency Is perfect!
But for me this smoothie was too bitter. Anyway – good experience .

Very colorful
This Smoothie Was A Mouth Full Of Wow! It Was Tart And Refreshing. I Believe This Would Make A Great Start Of The Day Smoothie. I Loved The Color, Full Of Sunshine . I Will Make Again And Add A Bit More Peaches.
Not my favourite. However, the health benefits are great. I added a dash of black pepper.
This smoothie was tart, zingy and refreshing! This smoothie was very different from my usual smoothie but I would make it again.
Love it!
Wowsers, this was a surprising treat! I love lemon and ginger anyway and regularly make lemon ginger tea, but this fresh recipe stepped those flavors up for sure! I can see myself having this warm at night a few hours before bed.
Yassss! I loved the ginger zest & lemon twist because it added a fun kick to my smoothie. I added orange juice to elevate my smoothie and opted out of the honey sweetener. Highly recommend to try this smoothie!
Wow! I wasnโt sure what to expect after reading all the reviews, but I absolutely loved it! It reminded me of a lemon icy except without all the sugar and other unhealthy ingredients. It also reminded me of the hot drink I often have when Iโm feeling under the weather. This was a very refreshing and nice treat to have after dinner. I will definitely be making this again.
I boosted with protein and this was so tangy and refreshing I forgot to drink coffee this morning!
I was really looking forward to trying this smoothie, but it didnโt quite turn out as expected. Some of it was error on my part. I added all of the liquid to the blender first, instead of just using at the end to get the right consistency. I also decided to toss in a piece of the lemon peel for some extra vitamin C. My Vitamix, that usually blends up everything, did not get it all. It wasnโt very pleasant to run into pieces of partially blended lemon rind while sipping on my smoothie:(. I will still try this one again, maybe with some banana & cauliflower, instead of the peaches, to balance out the tartness of the lemon.
