Peach Spinach Smoothie Ingredients

This is such a fun smoothie to make + sip! It’s the perfect post workout drink because it’s easy to make, with just 4 rawkstar ingredients:

Basically, this peach spinach smoothie is a powerhouse of wellness… plus it tastes delicious.

ingredients for a peach spinach smoothie including green grapes, peaches, spinach and coconut water.

Green vs red grapes

Is there really a difference in nutrition between green and red grapes? The easy answer is… not really. If there’s one variety you like best, then go for it. Yet the darker in color the grape is, the more antioxidants it contains. So if that’s why your popping grapes, then aim for the darker red varieties.

I think green grapes are more tart, and pair well with the sweet peaches + tangy coconut water in this smoothie, so I typically blend those.

To peel or not to peel peaches

Depending on the type of blender you have, you may want to peel your peaches. Yet if your blender can handle the skin, then I def recommend keeping it. Many of the nutrients from peaches are found in that fuzzy skin, so taking it off causes you to lose some value. Looking for more peach smoothies? Check these incredible recipes out:

Green Smoothie Ingredient Swaps

As with any green smoothie, I want you to get all the benefits you can. If that means swapping out an ingredient for one you can more easily find, ingest, or grow, then go for it! Spinach can be swapped out for Swiss chard or baby kale. Peaches can be swapped for almost any other stone fruit (apricots, nectarines, plums), or mango. Swap coconut water out for plain water, or even brewed tea. Obviously the flavor + consistency will change based on the swaps you make, so if the blend doesn’t feel right, don’t be afraid to add in extra fruit or liquid for the perfect drink.

Protein Boost

Want to turn this smoothie into a meal replacement? Adding 1 serving of my protein powder recipe will boost this smoothie by 10 grams of protein. This is the cleanest protein powder on the market, specifically designed for smoothies, so it works with any kind of smoothie you make! It also adds 4 grams of healthy fat as well as 7 grams of fiber, which helps your body turn that smoothie into clean energy.

Freezing Ingredients for Smoothies

Peaches are great smoothie ingredients, yet they have such a short growing season. Honestly, I buy them by the crate at Costco and Trader Joe’s, then slice them up and freeze. This way I can use them throughout the year, and I know they were super ripe + fresh when frozen. When freezing, I slice peaches into wedges, then lay them out on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Freeze for 1 hour, then toss the wedges into a freezer-safe container for storage.

Did you know grapes are also great frozen? My kids love to eat frozen grapes for snacks in the summer, yet freezing them also makes them the perfect ‘fruit cube’ for smoothies. Just lay grapes out on a tray lined with parchment, freeze for 1 hour, then store in a freezer safe container.

If using frozen grapes in this smoothie, make sure to up the liquid to 3/4 a cup instead of 1/2. This is because grapes act as a liquid and a fruit in smoothies, but not when frozen.

    1. Hi Betty. Def give some red or purple grapes a try next time you blend this one. That should do the trick!

  1. The peaches are so yummy in the smoothie! Really like the addition of grapes as well.

Simple and delicious. This time I substituted anti-inflammatory smoothie cubes for the peaches, which created a strong tangy flavour. I use red instead of green grapes because that’s what I had on hand. I also added a few kale stems and half a scoop of hemp protein powder.

I am loving this one, the grapes are the Star of this smoothie. Coconut water was flavored with pineapple is a good balance. Yum!

Love this smoothie! Smooth and sweet! I used red grapes, as that is what I already had, plus added 1/2 banana. Will be making this one again!

This one was good for a sweeter taste! I did add 3 Berry antioxidant cubes though so could’ve contributed to the sweetness. Will definitely try this one again as written…YUM!

    1. Those berries will def up the sweet factor, yet way to blend like a pro Pat!

It was OK. Not great but good at least it doesn’t have as many calories. I added Chia seeds and protein powder

This one was not my favorite. It may have been I used Kale instead of spinach. I had some fresh kale from a friend’s garden, and was excited about using it. I may have added too much. I added strawberries to help with the flavor. I will try it again with the spinach.

    1. Good for you for trying something different! I have found that kale has a stronger flavour and works best with sweeter fruits like pineapple, mango or banana. Alternatively spinach is better with lighter fruits like peaches and grapes, as you’ve learned too. Keep blending and trying new things!

    2. I’ve totally done the same, Joyce! Kale has a stronger flavor than spinach. If you do end up trying it with the kale again, make sure your banana is extra ripe. The sweetness will help to counter the strength of the kale flavor.

Really like the grapes for the added health benefits and great flavor. I used the red ones which also added sweetness.

Never thought of using grapes before in smoothies but it’s a nice change. I’m not a fan of coconut water but it hides well in smoothies & the health benefits are worth it. Great peach flavor too

Really liked this one. Used purple grapes and 2 drained and rinsed peach fruit cups. Added ice to cool it down. Yum!
