Tasty + Healthy Mango Smoothie

My kids go crazy for this Mango Smoothie Recipe packed with mango and bit of spinach.

Yep, my kids happily drink their spinach right alongside me! Yet it wasn’t always the case. But I promise you… when you blend spinach into your smoothie, you honestly won’t even taste it. Yet you’ll reap the nutritional benefits such as more fiber, phytonutrients and calcium. Try it once and be hooked on the simple green smoothie life, just like me!

If you like oranges, mango and bananas, you’ll love the taste of this recipe. Sure, the spinach and bright green color might be a little intimidating. BUT if you are trying to make healthy changes in your diet, this is the BEST (and simplest) habit I’ve embraced. You can learn more about the amazing health benefits of a daily green smoothie here.

Mango Smoothie Recipe with spinach | Simple Green Smoothies

I recently did a survey on Instagram and had you vote on your favorite tropical fruit. Mango beat out pineapple by a smidge. To celebrate the winner, I’m sharing a simple mango smoothie recipe that I created for my book, Simple Green Smoothies.

Healthy Mango Smoothie Recipe

  • Author: Jen Hansard
  • Prep Time: 3
  • Cook Time: 2
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x
  • Category: Smoothie
  • Method: blend

This mango smoothie recipe is packed with vitamins A and C to give your body essential vitamins to thrive. The addition of coconut water makes it a great post workout drink as it replenishes your electrolytes.

2 Cups of spinach

2 Cups unsweetened coconut water

1 orange, peeled

1 cup mango, frozen

1 banana, peeled

  1. Peel the orange.
  2. Blend spinach, coconut water and orange together until leafy chunks are done.
  3. Add in the banana and mango.
  4. Blend until smoothie.
  5. Pour into two glasses and enjoy!

If you’re not a fan of bananas, feel free to swap the banana for 1/2 avocado. You’ll get a creamy smoothie AND boost it with some healthy fats and vitamin E, which is wonderful for your skin. Sometimes I’ll half a banana and 1/4 avocado to the recipe to change it up and get the best of both worlds. The beauty of a green smoothie is, as long as you follow the Rawkstar Formula, you’ll get a tasty green smoothie every time.

I never was a huge fan of mangos. But having them in my green drinks, I have changed my mind. These are great and glad I can add mangos to my list of go to’s for my green drinks.

I can’t wait to try this with my children. My 15 year old was just asking for some smoothie recipes and I want to make sure she is getting her greens along with the sweetness of fruit. Thank you.

This is delicious! I used plain water, and I don’t like coconut water. Of course, one of the lovely things about Jen’s recipes is that they are easy to adapt for personal tastes.

    Hey Carol,

What a great substitute! So happy you made it your own and you were able to make it work for you.

This looks like the mango madness for day 5 so this is where I’m commenting. This smoothie was great. I’m not usually a coconut water fan but the flavors blend well in this one. And this is just what I needed. I keep getting pregnancy leg craps so this was perfect. It comes out a little thin so I added chia seeds. Perfect smoothie to add chia seeds to.
