Strawberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients
Here are a few quick notes about the strawberry banana smoothie ingredients that you will need to make this recipe:
- Frozen strawberries: Look for unsweetened frozen strawberries in the frozen fruit section. Check the label to make sure no added sugars or syrups are included.
- Banana: Choose ripe bananas (yellow with a few brown spots). Riper bananas are sweeter and blend better in smoothies. if you have extras, you can freeze bananas for future smoothies.
- Almond milk: Choose unsweetened almond milk brand for lower sugar or make your own homemade almond milk.
- Frozen cauliflower: Look for frozen riced cauliflower or frozen florets—riced blends more easily. Adding a little frozen cauliflower to fruit smoothies adds fiber + extra creaminess and doesn’t ruin the taste. Promise this is a winner (and you’ll never go back to a straight fruit smoothie).
- Chia seeds: Black or white chia seeds are both fine—there’s no nutritional difference. These superfoods add omega-3s, fiber, and protein.
Recipe Tips
- Add a protein powder or try my homemade protein powder to give you long lasting energy without any sugar crash.
- Swap almond milk with any non-dairy milk like oat, soy, cashew, or coconut milk.
- Use one of my recommended blenders for smoothies to get the creamiest result.

Recipe Variations
- Protein boost: Add 1 serving of protein powder or collagen peptides to make it more filling and supportive for muscle recovery and skin health.
- Extra creamy: Swap almond milk for canned light coconut milk or add ¼ avocado for a richer, creamier texture.
- Fiber-rich: Add 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or keep the chia seeds and add ½ cup frozen zucchini for extra fiber without changing the taste.
- Green smoothie: Blend in 1 cup fresh spinach. This leafy green vegetable blends smoothly and won’t overpower the strawberry banana flavor.
- Naturally Sweeter: Add 1–2 pitted dates or swap half the almond milk for coconut water for a slightly sweeter, more refreshing finish.
Storage Tips
Drink immediately for the best texture and flavor. Or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours—just give it a good shake or stir before drinking!

This smoothie was okay, but it didn’t stand out. I think I added too much cauliflower. It wasn’t full of flavor. My daughter ret liked it though
A winner
I loved the addition of cauliflower in this smoothie! It was creamy and sweet, but I could really only taste banana. Next time I would definitely up the cauliflower and strawberries and cut down the banana significantly.
I didn’t have stawberries I replace with banana. It was my first time I said let’s do challenge let try something new add cauliflower I’m totally shocked I’m a fan of it and it was the bomb!!!’ I’ll make it from now on!!! Thank you for sharing with this challenge smoothie
Wow, delicious!
Very creamy smoothie. The cauliflower added to the creaminess without leaving a strong favor.
Surprisingly great! Didn’t even taste the cauliflower! I had unsweetened vanilla almond milk open so used that instead of regular almond milk.
I tried fresh strawberries, and will use frozen next time. Not my favorite smoothie, but still really good!
I found the smoothie very bland. But definitely nutrious.
Day #2 – I really liked this smoothie. Very nice taste. No problem with adding cauliflower.
Was surprised that cauliflower was included , but what a surprise couldn’t taste it and it added some extra nutrition and creaminess. Yum.
Banana and Strawberry is an amazing combination! This smoothie is healthy and delicious!

Yum. A strawberry-banana smoothie has always been a favorite. The addition of some cauliflower was new for me.
Again – absolutely delicious. I will make again
This was very good
This one was very thick – needed to add a little extra almond milk. Very creamy though!
This was delicious, just a little sweet for me so I’ll balance it out next time. Smooth, beautiful colour and delicious though! I would have never thought of adding cauliflower to a smoothie – digging it!
First time I’ve ever added cauliflower to a smoothie.
Glad to use cauliflower in a smoothie! Not as fond of the almond milk in it but still tasted good.
I never thought about adding cauliflower to a smoothie! Thank you for expanding my palate.
