This strawberry mango smoothie shows how small upgrades can make a big difference. A handful of spinach slips right in, boosting nutrients while letting the sweet, tropical smoothie flavors of strawberries and mango shine. It’s an easy reminder that nourishing choices don’t have to be complicated—or change the taste you love.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Strawberries are packed with more vitamin C than oranges (yup!), plus fiber and natural sweetness. They’re low in sugar, help keep blood sugar steady, and swap easily into any berry smoothie.
  • Mango is sweet, juicy, and totally tropical. Rich in vitamin A and fiber, mango adds a creamy texture and instant island vibes to any smoothie.
  • This smoothie tastes bright, creamy, and lightly tropical. The almond milk keeps it mellow and creamy, and the spinach blends right in—no “green” taste at all.

Strawberry Mango Smoothie Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach: Mild and nutrient-packed; look for bright green leaves at your local grocery store or farmers’ market.
  • Unsweetened almond milk: Light and creamy with a subtle nutty flavor; opt for homemade almond milk to keep the ingredients minimal. Not gonna do it— I get it. Check out my guide on the best almond milk brands to buy. There are some great ones you can buy!
  • Frozen strawberries: Sweet and slightly tart; buy pre-frozen for convenience or freeze fresh berries for peak flavor.
  • Frozen mango: This fruit is naturally sweet and tropical. I usually buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s cheaper than my local grocery store. Yet if fresh is every on sale, you’ll see my in the kitchen cutting mango and freezing it.

Easy Swaps and Add-Ins

This recipe is fantastic as is, but here are some easy ways to mix it up and make it your own!

  • Add protein powder: Give your strawberry mango smoothie a boost of protein with my homemade protein powder recipe made with flax, hemp, and chia seeds.
  • Swap spinach: Use your favorite leafy green vegetables instead of spinach. Some of my favorite options to use are kale or chard.
  • Swap almond milk: Substitute almond milk with a non-dairy milk of your choosing.

Common Questions

Do strawberry and mango go together in a smoothie?

While bananas and pineapple are among the tropical fruits that pair well with mango and strawberry, the combination of mango and strawberry is truly superior. Mango’s natural sweetness and creamy texture create a thick, luscious smoothie, while strawberries add a refreshing, slightly tart contrast. Together, they make a perfectly balanced, flavorful blend—pure smoothie bliss!

What fruit blends well with mango?

Mango pairs well with many fruits, creating a balanced and flavorful blend. Strawberries add a refreshing tartness, while pineapple enhances its tropical sweetness. Bananas provide creaminess, peaches add a juicy mellow flavor, and oranges bring a citrusy kick. Coconut is another great pairing, complementing mango’s tropical notes. Whether you want sweet, creamy, or refreshing, mango is a versatile fruit that blends beautifully.

How many calories in a strawberry mango smoothie?

A strawberry mango smoothie made with 1 cup fresh spinach, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup frozen strawberries, and ½ cup frozen mango contains approximately 137 calories per serving. This smoothie is naturally low in fat, with 4g of protein, 26g of carbohydrates, and 6g of fiber, making it a nutrient-dense and refreshing option. Adding a serving of homemade protein powder will slightly increase the calorie count while boosting protein content.

  1. I loved the smoothie. Mine wasn’t pink at all. Ok it had pink dots in it. I used whole almonds soaked overnight instead of almond milk.

I really liked the taste of the pink flamingo. Though the smoothie was not pink. Without the spinach it would be. I added in fresh mint and chia seeds. It was really fresh tasting with the mint.

Yum!!!!! I had this smoothie for new year breakfast and it was fantastic! Feeling really good !!! It was very tasty and I added hemp and chia seeds to it~ Now it is time for some yoga!

    1. That’s too bad you didn’t like it as much but that’s the beauty in trying different recipes, isn’t it?! You get to try new things and find out what you love and what you don’t. And, adding a banana to a smoothie you don’t really love the taste of is a great move and can turn a #smoothiefail into a save! 🙂

  4. Loved the fruit combo! Strawberries are the key! Frozen ones are hit or miss. Especially here in Canada!
Not so pink in colour but yummy! Thanks for bringing in the tropics while we live in cold! ☃❄️. Feeling like Florida with Pink Flamingo in my belly! ⛱

Loved this! The strawberry and mango is a nice, refreshing combo. Even the kids liked it. I know it’ll be even better when there are fresh strawberries available.

  6. I loved this smoothie. I liked the strawberries in it. Also it was a nice thickness and a very cold one with all the frozen fruit, it actually have me brain freeze a couple of times, lol.

Pretty good, but not as sweet as I’d hoped. Fresh strawberries are probably sweeter.

I substituted “Oh Kale Yeah”. I had some fresh pineapple in the house so this was the obvious choice! Absolutely loved it! Rawked the 30 Day Challenge! Thank you!

Not a fan of this one. I think it is the strawberries. Although I love fresh strawberries I don’t seem to enjoy them in a smoothie. I wonder if it is b/c I use frozen ones for smoothies.

    1. Hey Kelly,

I am sorry you were not a fan of this recipe! Sometimes with strawberries if they are not perfectly ripe they will not taste that great and you will need to add in some extra sweetener. Also frozen strawberries can not be as sweet sometimes too. If you run into that again feel free to add some extra all natural sweeteners to your smoothie like these:
