I love a good go-to smoothie recipe, but rotating your ingredients is one of the easiest ways to boost nutrition and keep things exciting. This strawberry mango smoothie is a perfect example of how a simple switch (like a handful of spinach) can expand your flavor palette while still keeping things quick, nourishing, and delicious.

Why You’ll Love It
- Strawberries are packed with more vitamin C than oranges (yup!), plus fiber and natural sweetness. They’re low in sugar, help keep blood sugar steady, and swap easily into any berry smoothie.
- Mango is sweet, juicy, and totally tropical. Rich in vitamin A and fiber, mango adds a creamy texture and instant island vibes to any smoothie.
- This smoothie tastes bright, creamy, and lightly tropical. The almond milk keeps it mellow and creamy, and the spinach blends right in—no “green” taste at all.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- Fresh spinach: Mild and nutrient-packed; look for bright green leaves at your local grocery store or farmers’ market.
- Unsweetened almond milk: Light and creamy with a subtle nutty flavor; opt for homemade almond milk to keep the ingredients minimal. Not gonna do it— I get it. Check out my guide on the best almond milk brands to buy. There are some great ones you can buy!
- Frozen strawberries: Sweet and slightly tart; buy pre-frozen for convenience or freeze fresh berries for peak flavor.
- Frozen mango: This fruit is naturally sweet and tropical. I usually buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s cheaper than my local grocery store.

How to Make Strawberry Mango Smoothie
This strawberry mango smoothie is bursting with flavor and nutrients—and it’s so easy to make! Just follow these three simple steps:
- Blend fresh spinach with unsweetened almond milk until completely smooth. This ensures a silky texture without leafy bits.
- Add the frozen strawberries and mango, then blend again until creamy and well combined.
- Enjoy immediately for a refreshing and nutrient-packed smoothie!

Easy Swaps and Add-Ins
This recipe is fantastic as is, but here are some easy ways to mix it up and make it your own!
- Add protein powder: Give your strawberry mango smoothie a boost of protein with my Homemade Protein Powder recipe made with flax, hemp, and chia seeds.
- Swap spinach: Use your favorite leafy greens instead of spinach. Some of my favorite options to use are kale or chard.
- Swap almond milk: Substitute almond milk with a dairy-free milk of your choosing.

While bananas and pineapple are among the tropical fruits that pair well with mango and strawberry, the combination of mango and strawberry is truly superior. Mango’s natural sweetness and creamy texture create a thick, luscious smoothie, while strawberries add a refreshing, slightly tart contrast. Together, they make a perfectly balanced, flavorful blend—pure smoothie bliss!
Mango pairs well with many fruits, creating a balanced and flavorful blend. Strawberries add a refreshing tartness, while pineapple enhances its tropical sweetness. Bananas provide creaminess, peaches add a juicy mellow flavor, and oranges bring a citrusy kick. Coconut is another great pairing, complementing mango’s tropical notes. Whether you want sweet, creamy, or refreshing, mango is a versatile fruit that blends beautifully.
A strawberry mango smoothie made with 1 cup fresh spinach, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup frozen strawberries, and ½ cup frozen mango contains approximately 137 calories per serving. This smoothie is naturally low in fat, with 4g of protein, 26g of carbohydrates, and 6g of fiber, making it a nutrient-dense and refreshing option. Adding a serving of homemade protein powder will slightly increase the calorie count while boosting protein content.

I love the name Pink Flamango, but not the smoothie. Mine was a brownish green color (red & green make brown anyway), but it did have some pink flecks from the strawberries. It was very thick, slightly bitter and could have used a touch more sweetness. Perhaps I packed the spinach in the measuring cup too tightly. This one is not a favorite for me.
So good! Strawberries also have lots of iron. I ate them when I was pregnant and got away from taking iron pills! Love the blending tips!
Didnt like this one. Felt Gassy & bloated all day after.
Here for Rawkstar Bingo to rate Day 2 smoothie on the blog! Definite 5/5!!! The strawberries, almond milk, and mango actually gave my smoothie a pink color. I put spinach in the blender otherwise I never would have known there are greens in this smoothie!
Not much of a mango fan but definitely a strawberry fan/
Drinking Pink Flamingo I kept getting feathers in my teeth so I switched to flaMANGO.
I mixed water with the almond milk. It was ok
Ha!
I enjoyed this one.
I prepped so all fruit was frozen and it was a little thick but still amazing!
Yay!!! Pineapple Dream Smoothie is delicious.
We enjoyed making that one. Jack likes a little more
green, but I like the sweet.
This smoothie was enjoyable with the almond milk. I’m used to smoothies with base liquid of water so it was a nice creamy change.
Pink Flamingo was not our favorite, but it was okay. I drank all of it and wasn’t sorry I did. I think I will add more strawberries if I make it again in the future. I got the full cup, but I think it could’ve used some more.
I’m out of the country and couldn’t get mango so I used a small banana instead. It was incredible!
Maybe I had strawberries without much flavor, but I found this one to be bland. I added flaxseed. Next time I’ll add either banana or some nut butter.
So yummy! I added the alkaline cubes and turned it into 2 meals on the go by adding lots of chia seeds!!
Absolutely loved this one. I froze the strawberries and mango overnight and had a delicious semi frozen delight. Been making the smoothies for a drink around 3:30 PM to help with afternoon slump.
Day 2 smoothie was good however I am not the biggest fan of almond milk. Going to try with water instead next time
I don’t like almond milk with my smoothies so I switched it up to coconut water. It was better then. Still to much fruit for me, but I did like this one much better than yesterdays
