I love a good go-to smoothie recipe, but rotating your ingredients is one of the easiest ways to boost nutrition and keep things exciting. This strawberry mango smoothie is a perfect example of how a simple switch (like a handful of spinach) can expand your flavor palette while still keeping things quick, nourishing, and delicious.

Why You’ll Love It
- Strawberries are packed with more vitamin C than oranges (yup!), plus fiber and natural sweetness. They’re low in sugar, help keep blood sugar steady, and swap easily into any berry smoothie.
- Mango is sweet, juicy, and totally tropical. Rich in vitamin A and fiber, mango adds a creamy texture and instant island vibes to any smoothie.
- This smoothie tastes bright, creamy, and lightly tropical. The almond milk keeps it mellow and creamy, and the spinach blends right in—no “green” taste at all.

Ingredients You’ll Need
- Fresh spinach: Mild and nutrient-packed; look for bright green leaves at your local grocery store or farmers’ market.
- Unsweetened almond milk: Light and creamy with a subtle nutty flavor; opt for homemade almond milk to keep the ingredients minimal. Not gonna do it— I get it. Check out my guide on the best almond milk brands to buy. There are some great ones you can buy!
- Frozen strawberries: Sweet and slightly tart; buy pre-frozen for convenience or freeze fresh berries for peak flavor.
- Frozen mango: This fruit is naturally sweet and tropical. I usually buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s cheaper than my local grocery store.

How to Make Strawberry Mango Smoothie
This strawberry mango smoothie is bursting with flavor and nutrients—and it’s so easy to make! Just follow these three simple steps:
- Blend fresh spinach with unsweetened almond milk until completely smooth. This ensures a silky texture without leafy bits.
- Add the frozen strawberries and mango, then blend again until creamy and well combined.
- Enjoy immediately for a refreshing and nutrient-packed smoothie!

Easy Swaps and Add-Ins
This recipe is fantastic as is, but here are some easy ways to mix it up and make it your own!
- Add protein powder: Give your strawberry mango smoothie a boost of protein with my Homemade Protein Powder recipe made with flax, hemp, and chia seeds.
- Swap spinach: Use your favorite leafy greens instead of spinach. Some of my favorite options to use are kale or chard.
- Swap almond milk: Substitute almond milk with a dairy-free milk of your choosing.

While bananas and pineapple are among the tropical fruits that pair well with mango and strawberry, the combination of mango and strawberry is truly superior. Mango’s natural sweetness and creamy texture create a thick, luscious smoothie, while strawberries add a refreshing, slightly tart contrast. Together, they make a perfectly balanced, flavorful blend—pure smoothie bliss!
Mango pairs well with many fruits, creating a balanced and flavorful blend. Strawberries add a refreshing tartness, while pineapple enhances its tropical sweetness. Bananas provide creaminess, peaches add a juicy mellow flavor, and oranges bring a citrusy kick. Coconut is another great pairing, complementing mango’s tropical notes. Whether you want sweet, creamy, or refreshing, mango is a versatile fruit that blends beautifully.
A strawberry mango smoothie made with 1 cup fresh spinach, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 cup frozen strawberries, and ½ cup frozen mango contains approximately 137 calories per serving. This smoothie is naturally low in fat, with 4g of protein, 26g of carbohydrates, and 6g of fiber, making it a nutrient-dense and refreshing option. Adding a serving of homemade protein powder will slightly increase the calorie count while boosting protein content.

I might sound like a total weirdo right now…but who cares! I only had chocolate almond milk, and it made my smoothie taste almost like a chocolate covered strawberry! I loved the tart flavor the strawberries and mango added to this smoothie (I’ll try this smoothie with regular almond milk soon lol)
This smoothie was ok. I might try coconut milk next time. I usually like mango and strawberry but it was missing something.
Using both the frozen fruits made this too cold for us. I put it in the fridge for later and it was better to my taste anyway.
I have experienced all the smoothies so far as mildly sweet. Is that how Green Smoothies should be?
Hi Wade! The ones that were chosen for the smoothie challenge are definitely on the sweeter size, I find that makes it a great way to get into green smoothies.
It’s ok. I think I’ll try it with a different milk than almond milk.
LOOKS ARE ONLY SKIN DEEP!
That definitely holds true for this Smoothie. Combining the Green of Spinach, the Beige of Almond Milk, and the Red of Strawberries…. doesn’t result in the most beautiful color….. Luckily, that’s where it ends!
This drink is truly a creamy, and refreshing drink. The Strawberries aren’t overpowering and the ingredients are proportioned just right.
Couldn’t believe the pairing of spinach and strawberries. Was husbands favorite so far.
I love this smoothie it is my fav. I an taste the strawberrier. I will be making this agian. So yummy.
What a delicious Smoothie. Creamy with a nice refreshing strawberry flavor!
Another favorite. Replaced mango with pineapple due to allergies.
Love tasting the strawberries. Delicious!
Enjoyed the mango strawberry combo. Haven’t had that in awhile. Delicious!
I did not use milk though, I used water and my vanilla proteini.
The strawberry mango smoothie has a subtle sweet flavor I like but was so thick I had to add an additional 1/4 cup of almond milk to get it blended. I’m going to be sad to see this challenge come to an end.
I didn’t really care for this smoothie. I think if my fruit were fresh instead of frozen it would have been better. I also would have omitted the protein powder, personally.
Overall good flavor, but felt it needed a little bit more mango for sweetness. Also needed to add a little more liquid to make it less thick.
Wow !!! My favorite yet! So good!!
Day 6 was nice to have a change with the strawberries!
I also loved having the almond milk. I added ginger and a lil bit of cacao powder it was delicious!!
Still waiting for my protein powder to deliver!
Day 6 dowwwwwn!
Cmon day 7….the number of completion!
I really liked this one!! Haven’t tried this combo before, but I can see it becoming a regular!
