Also known affectionately as “Pink Flamango,” this strawberry mango smoothie was created by my very first Simple Green Smoothies team member, Dan Mottayaw. That was 8 years ago, and now he’s got a toddler who gulps this smoothie down! It warms my heart to see kids growing up on leafy greens + fruit, like this delicious strawberry mango smoothie recipe.

Powerhouse Smoothie Ingredient

Did you know that strawberries actually have more vitamin C than oranges? It’s true! These sweet berries shine in this strawberry mango smoothie recipe, both in flavor and in nutrients. They can be used in any berry recipe as a substitute.

Strawberries are also low in sugar + high in fiber, which makes them a great smoothie addition for anyone who is watching their blood sugar levels. The fiber helps avoid a blood sugar rush, as well as keep your levels more stable. They are naturally sweet, so they are a great sweet treat in a smoothie, or straight off the stem.

The Best Tropical Fruit

Okay, I know that statement is very subjective, but I really, really LOVE mango. I could eat them all day long and never tire of them – blended in this strawberry mango smoothie as well as freshly peeled.

Mango is like the tropical version of a peach. It’s juicy + sweet and chock full of vitamin A and fiber. Make sure and stand over the sink while eating a fresh one, because you’ll have juice dripping down your chin. No shame here! Add some mango to your smoothie to instantly get an island vibe going.

I usually buy frozen mango in bulk from Trader Joes or Costco because it’s cheaper than my local grocery store.

strawberry mango is creamy due to oat milk (I prefer oat over almond) and the right combo of mango and strawberry. I threw in some frozen pomegranate arils too.
Delicious and will make this again.

This is a go-to smoothie recipe for me already, but without the spinach. Surprisingly, I still enjoyed it and got some extra green goodness in the process.

    1 cup orange juice

    Fabulous!

The Strawberry Mango Smoothie was delicious! Especially since I love strawberries and mangos! Did need some additional almond milk since the fruit was frozen solid. Made a bit extra for the little one to taste and approve!

  5. Loved this smoothie with the strawberries. I used frozen ones and it was nice and thick. I used a 1/2 cup of water instead of the almond milk and it still turned out nice and creamy. I have loved each recipe so far!

This was very delicious with just the right ingredients. I will definitely make it again. I may make it with half frozen and half fresh strawberries.

Something went wrong with my smoothie today. I love strawberries so thought it would be fine to throw a few more in. My smoothie was way too thick, more like a gelato, which I really enjoyed and will recreate next summer.

  8. I didn’t like this one as well as the others, but I think it is because of the strawberries. Frozen strawberries always disappoint me. They are never as sweet and flavorful as fresh strawberries. It is seems they aren’t as ripe as they should be.

Really liked it as written then added a bit of cocoa powder for chocolate covered strawberry taste and it was even better.
    Loving them all so far!

The homemade protein powder makes this smoothie extra filling and thick. Mine wasn’t as pretty green as this, though ๐Ÿ˜‰
