Blend this Banana Peach Smoothie during the height of peach season for the tastiest peach smoothie you'll ever savor. You can also use frozen peaches, which have been picked at their peak and frozen to lock in the nutrients.
Peaches are a true gift. There's nothing quite like finding a perfectly ripe peach, then taking it over to the kitchen sink to devour it, juice dripping down your chin, relishing every sweet bite. This is also exactly why I love blending with peaches.
When is the best season to use peaches in a smoothie?
Of course, using peaches during the height of peach season is ideal (late spring, early summer). Yet this banana peach smoothie can easily be made with frozen peaches. Slice up + freeze a bunch of peaches during harvest time, then enjoy a little bit of summer all year long.
Low sugar smoothie (but not when it comes to flavor)
Peaches and bananas are both low on the glycemic scale. This makes them a good choice for anyone watching their blood sugar. (Always check first with your health professional if you are a diabetic!) Both fruits also contain dietary fiber. Fiber can slow down the absorption of fruit sugar into your blood stream, then give you a more steady energy boost.
I start sounding like a commercial going on and on about fiber, but is it SO important for your health - both for heart health and staying "regular."
Gut health is important, so eat and drink up all the fiber-rich fruit and veggies in this banana peach smoothie! They're nature's scrubbing brush.
Fiber-ful recipes
Here are a few great recipes that can help boost your fiber intake:
- Chocolate fiber smoothie cubes
- Chia seed smoothie
- Strawberry carrot smoothie
- Avocado banana smoothie
- Chocolate protein shake
A diet rich in fiber can lower the risk of Type II diabetes, heart disease, and many types of cancer. So grab one of these fiber-filled smoothies and drink to your health!
Turn your peach smoothie into a meal
Because this is a low-cal smoothie, it's not a great meal replacement on its own. Upgrade this banana peach smoothie to a quick + easy meal by adding a scoop of protein powder, chia or hemp seeds, or nut butter.
To stay full and feel satisfied for longer, check out our popular Green Smoothie Meal Replacement Guide.
For example, you can add ¼ of an avocado, use ½ cup coconut milk for some of the water, add a tablespoon of MCT oil, or your fav healthy fat.
If you don't like bananas or can't eat them, feel free to substitute avocado for the banana or use another banana replacement.
Quite often the simplest of smoothies are the best ones. This Banana Peach Smoothie is no exception. Use simple, healthy ingredients... your tastebuds and your body will thank you!

Judith Walter
I like this smoothie. Added protein powder and chia seeds. Yummy
Michelle L.
I made this smoothie and it was just eh okay. Doesn’t matter though because I’m glad that I am trying new things and they are healthy, so yay me!
Simple Green Smoothies
You are so right Michelle! Trying new healthy things is the such an awesome step! Next time, def give the recipe a tweak to make it more to your taste. Better to add a bit more peach or banana if that works for you than to not blend greens at all. 🙂
Lorena
Simple and delicious!!!
Jill Walters
Was very good and easy to make
Paula F.
Love peaches in a smoothie - delicious!
Chezlynn
Yum!
Karen R
Day 1, This drink is pretty good! Not what I had expected.

Laura Young
Super tasty and refreshing! Day 1 of 10 day smoothie challenge.
Dianna
Well, this was interesting! So yummy with the addition of a slice of ginger and a tablespoon of almond butter. Awesome and creamy!
Simple Green Smoothies
Love that you added some ginger here Dianna. Pro move!
Azizah Hanif
It’s so yummy, me and my daughter love it ❤️
Ann Heywood
I used avocado instead of banana, as I prefer my smoothies less sweet - and with the addition of ginger I found this a very pleasant smoothie
Liz
This is my first smoothie from the 10-day challenge so I’ve got nothing else to compare it to hence my 3/5 rating. It’s definitely a pass, light and refreshing doesn’t taste like you’re eating spinach.
Simple Green Smoothies
Can't wait for you to try rawkin some more green smoothies, Liz! Bet you'll love them all! 🙂
Amanda Peters
Maybe I'm making it not quite right, but I find the spinach taste a little too obvious, and not enough peach. Maybe adding more then a cup of peach?
Simple Green Smoothies
You can totally adjust the recipe to your preferences. To avoid more natural sugar by adding more peach, try backing down the spinach a bit and adding more as you become more accustomed to it.
Clareen McNabb
It's OK on its own, I used frozen fruit but think it needs more peach as it was very light flavor, added vanilla protein & chia seed. The vanilla helped hide the spinach taste
ROHAN RIBERI
Good smoothie. I find it better with 1 tablespoon plain yogurt.
Simple Green Smoothies
The recipes are great because you can tweak them to your tastes. 🙂
Stacia Wilson
I didn’t have peaches but I had mango. It is a simple smoothie but had great flavor.
Fiona Gough
I used blackboy peaches and it was really good.
Grace
Great start to the smoothie challenge! Glad to read this combination is low on the glycemic scale, yet still tastes delicious. I did not have enough ripe or frozen peaches so I added some frozen cantaloupe, as well as black chia seeds and pea protein powder. Cheers to health!
Tim
This smoothie was very creamy and great tasting. Fresh ginger is a great addition. I really liked it a lot.
Sherri Lyness
So good.
Jessica
Had to use frozen peaches and it tasted good but I plan on making it again when I can get some fresh, juicy local peaches. I subbed almond milk (MALK) and added a chunk of fresh ginger root and it was creamy and delicious.
Anita
Great tasting smoothie. So refreshing.
Shelli B
This one was just okay, not sure why I didn't like it as much. I didn't have a fresh peach and used frozen - that might be it. Will try again when I can get a fresh peach.
Simple Green Smoothies
Shelli, def try it again when you can get fresh peaches!
Michelle
Very good
Amy Maxfield
Bananas make all things smooth and sweet!
I love the smoothies, and love the community MORE!
Simple Green Smoothies
Well we love you, Amy! 😀
Amber
Very yummy
Alissabeth
Tasty! Not too sweet.
Tracy
I had to use mango instead, were under quarantine so some foods are limited. It was still delicious!
Simple Green Smoothies
That's totally ok, Tracy! You made what you have work for the smoothie and you're still blending so that's a win in our book!
Gaynelle
No peaches—but mango works great!
Simple Green Smoothies
Yes it does! I bet it tasted like a tropical umbrella drink. 🙂
Olivia
Simple and I like that the ingredients can be purchased frozen at the grocery store. Seems like frozen fruits are a bit easier for me to find lately.
Millie
Yummy, just wish I had fresh peaches. I feel like the flavour would be better if I had fresh peaches.
Simple Green Smoothies
I agree, I love fresh peaches much better. When I can't find them though, I thaw my frozen peaches overnight and when I blend them in my smoothies, that great peach flavor is a bit more pronounced.
Sher
Day 1 smoothie was great. Took it on the go to my office this morning. Posted picture on IG. I like that it wasn't too sweet but great consistency. I did a mixture of spinach and kale. Super excited and looking forward to day 2
Shelley
Day 1 Smoothie, I really liked it. Delicious
Shayla
I’m in Thailand for a year, so the frozen peaches I was able to get my hands on are pretty bland. But I can see how this can be a pretty tasty smoothie!
Meagan
Kids gave this smoothie a 5! I used coconut water & dinosaur kale + one large carrot. It was really thin closer to a juice but my son asked for more so I’ll take that as a win
HikerC
Day 1..check
Used mango instead of peach and because it was a meal replacement, added 1 scoop protein powder and 1 Tbsp chia seeds. Had the energy and brain power I needed to kick start my day!
Cynthia
Delicious and creamy!!
Rosalie
Enjoyed this simple recipe! I added a scoop of vanilla protein, which blended with the flavors well.
marie fraser
I love this peach smoothie:) Yum!!
Kimberlee
I let my frozen peaches thaw a little and that made a difference! I wanted to add some cinnamon but I added kefir.
Susan
Nice and refreshing! Terrific after my 5 mile run today!
Erin
This recipe just makes me feel like springtime! For me, it had just the right amount of sweetness.
Barbara
Peach and banana flavors shine through that makes this simple smoothie a favorite!! I did add 1 Tbsp of chia seeds at the end, let it sit for a couple minutes before sipping this delightfully fresh smoothie! (I used peaches I froze last summer.) I’ll make this one again and try it with avocado in place of the banana.
Jeannette Charles
Having it today for mid day drink instead. Yum.
Joanna Keczkowska
Very good smoothie
Lelian
This was really good. I added some peach protein powder to keep me full longer. But yummy!!!!
Laura A Soracco
I appreciated this recipe because it gave me a perfect portion! While I already make really good smoothies, I do tend to blend too much or add too many sweet ingredients. Thanks!
Alicia
It definitely wasn’t sweet as I thought it would but good nonetheless!! Day 1 done! #greensmoothiechallenge
Laura Woollen
Made this for myself, my husband, and my three year old. It is simple and tasty. Love that my daughter is drinking her greens.
Leslie
I have a slight banana allergy where I cannot eat fully ripe bananas, so I used a slightly green banana. This is what I usually do when a recipe calls for bananas, but usually the other flavors (berries) are strong enough to cover the banana flavor. The peaches were just not strong enough to cover the tasted for me. I mixed a little vanilla, and it helped. I am super stoked for this challenge to help facilitate change in my life! Thanks, Simple Green Smoothies!
Karen
This recipe would be great with fresh, ripe, juicy peaches! Alas, I had to settle for frozen peaches which didn't have much flavor but a little bit of ginger help make this smoothie very tasty.
Simple Green Smoothies
Karen, I love fresh peaches in my smoothies! When they aren't in season, I'll thaw my frozen peaches overnight in the fridge and that helps the peach flavor stand out more. I also added ginger. 🙂 This smoothie was a great way to start the challenge!
Ella
So the day for us is almost over, here on this side of earth.
My young one said it was sour, the older one said "mmm this is so sweet".
I Liked it since the banana coverd the kale that I added.
So - 4 for me, I guess just because the peaches were not as strong in taste as I imagined.
Jean
I didn't have bananas or peaches so used avacado and mango instead with a touch of cinnamon. Quite tasty!!
Laura Young
This smoothie was ok. It was a little heavy on the banana taste, but maybe I put a little more than 1/2 a banana, lol. There’s a hint of peach, which I thought there’d be more. I also added protein powder to make it a meal. Overall, I’d probably make this again, just tweak it a little bit.
Simple Green Smoothies
Laura, did you use frozen peaches? I find that when I thaw my peaches overnight, I get a stronger peach flavor in my smoothie. 🙂
Diana Gaze
So simple & so good! Works well with kale too!
Simple Green Smoothies
We love switching up our greens. Kale yeah!!!
Dawn
I think I want to try this and the other peach recipes with fresh peaches. I like the convenience of frozen peaches but there's not a lot of flavor with them. Through this challenge I've discovered that I really like smoothies that include oranges and then I used frozen orange for the first time and while it was good, it wasn't quite as good as the ones where I used fresh orange. Thinking the frozen peaches may be the issue so since I love peaches, I'll give this one another try.
Simple Green Smoothies
Hey Dawn,
We feel you! There is nothing like fresh fruit if you have access to that. I would definitely recommend trying this again with fresh peaches and see how you like it 🙂
Shari
Simple, fresh and delicious
Christina
Love this smoothie! I am a fan of anything peach, so I was excited to try this recipe.
Simple Green Smoothies
Hey love peaches too!
Tracy
Peaches are my FAVORITE fruit, so this smoothie did not disappoint! I used frozen peaches for convenience and it still tasted amazing!
Simple Green Smoothies
Yay!!
Glad you were able to make it convenient for you and it still tasted delicious!
Julie
Used frozen peaches. Can't wait until they are in season here, just a FEW more months.
Beth
I used frozen peaches, so I added extra to enhance the flavor, which was a good call. I can't wait to try it during peach season.
tiffany
I love peaches, but this smoothie was not great for me. Maybe it is the frozen peaches that aren't working for me. I will try it again though when fresh peaches are available.
Meagan
This was yum. I unknowingly blended a variation of this smoothie 2 days in a row because my body must have loved it!
Liz
Simple to make, missing a little something, but not bad!
DonnaA
I haven’t yet found anything I don’t like about these smoothies! I just love them all!❤️❤️❤️
Pamela
Love this smoothie, but I had a frozen fruit combo mixture that I used... Strawberries mango pineapple and peaches.
Neal
Nice and refreshing. I used a mix of mango, papaya and pineapple for the peaches as I had none and it was a good replacement.
Taisha Turner
Super bland and I tasted mostly spinach. Maybe would be better with fresh peaches.
Valerie W
Definitely need to let frozen peaches thaw a bit to get more of the peach flavor.
Bethany Vines
This was pretty bland, which is kind of what I was expecting since I feel like frozen peaches never have much flavor. I'd like to try it again in the summer with fresh, juicy peaches! Still not bad, though. Just very mild flavor.
Cecilia Anderson
Not typically a fan of peaches, so I never venture with them in smoothies until this week. I was surprised to find I actually liked this! I let the peaches thaw a little before blending to brimming out more of their natural sweetness.
Cecily
I loved this smoothie. Even my kids were asking for it, and that's always a plus!
Molly
One of my favorites.
Steph
We had really, really ripe bananas and I wanted to taste the peach flavour of this smoothie, so I branched out and added avocado instead. It was so creamy and delicious! Hubby wanted the banana, so we made two and had a side by side comparison. The peach was definitely more noticeable in the avocado mix.
Antoinette
Delicious! Can't wait to make it again!
Laura White
I I enjoyed this smoothie. I did substitute almond milk for the water to make it creamier. Overall it was simple and tasty.
Anita
Three stars I am not sure what I think about this combination so okay
Patricia
Refreshing!
Megan Chaney
I loved the Peach smoothie for today, definitely one of my favorite recipes so far! Some of the others didn't blend quite well enough for me, I may have to convince the hubby to get me a nicer blender 🙂
Jen
Delicious and simple. Added wheat germ bc I have some leftover. Yum!
Windy
I love peaches this hit the spot. I also added chia and cocunut oil. Delicious!
Clare
I liked it. I didnt find it overpowering. I found it refreshing and tastey. I added chia and flax also
Darlene Littlchild
Smoothies have been delicious! It’s like resetting our tastebuds, lol. We can’t wait until next day, and week!Simple Peach was delicious #SimpleGreenSmoothies #30daychallenge
Tamya
This was just okay for me. I didn’t taste much peach. I’ll try fresh vs frozen next time and make sure they’re really ripe for the peachy flavor I’m craving!
Jennifer
I think this is the first smoothie I wasn't crazy about. And I've tried a lot of different ones. I don't taste the peach at all just spinach.
Brittany Gibson
Simple and Peachy! I enjoyed this light and refreshing smoothie. It was surprisingly flavorful and sweet. I also added Chia seeds and oats to make a meal replacement shake.
Kelly
Winner! Perfect breakfast this morning 🙂
Bonnie
Day 11: Simple Peach
Simple and delicious
Kathryn
Made this one today, delicious as well, although not my favorite. I do love to switch it up from the usual berries!
Lindsay Rodriguez
Love that its low in sugar.
Julie Fialho
OMG this is my favorite smoothie by far!! So smooth and delicious!
K D
I was excited for peaches this week in the challenge, but this one was a bit blah. Maybe because I used romaine instead of spinach or kale? I barely tasted the peaches. :-/ Not giving up, there are so many others that are great! 🙂
Anna
So glad I saved some peaches from this summer in my freezer! It’s like summer in a glass!!! So good!
Tiffany
I love peaches and this one is awesome.
Tiffany
I forgot to leave my star rating
Laura Birman
I’ll have to use frozen peaches but this one was a good one!
Lynn
I'll admit, this one tastes a little spinach-y to me. Most green smoothies are fruity enough that the only way I know it has spinach in it is because it's green. The more I drink this one the less spinach flavor I get, so it's not bad! It just took me a minute to get used to it.
Gayathri
Peaches are a little pricey in this region so I'm only getting started with this. Hope it tastes good! Also, the recipes call for fresh spinach. Is it the same if I use frozen spinach leaves?
Christina
I guess I best start liking peaches with yet another peach smoothie this week...lol
Brianne
This was fantastic! A favorite of mine. 🙂 Thanks!
