Banana Peach Smoothie (Low Sugar Recipe)

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup peach frozen
  • ½ banana

  • Blend spinach and water in blender until smooth.
  • Add remaining fruit and blend again.

Notes

  • Use at least one frozen fruit to make the smoothie cold or serve over ice. You can also prep ahead with frozen meal prep smoothie packs to save time.
  • Feel free to swap the banana out for ½ avocado if you want to cut the fruit sugars even more. 
  • If your spinach goes bad quickly, learn to freeze spinach so you always have some on hand.

    Not too sweet and great way to get some greens in! Also not very caloric so can easily d’Anjou with my oatmeal in the morning.

    It’s okay,. I tried to double it for two servings and might not have had to double the water, it wasn’t creamy enough. Either way to make it more creamy I added another banana, but that was my fault, still a clean smoothie! I used organic frozen peaches but not sure if it had enough flavor .I added the protein powder to make it a meal replacement,. I love that I can’t really taste it and it’s not gritty!

    Great start to the Spring 2021 10-day smoothie challenge! I like how the beginner’s luck smoothie was changed to a pre-start trial smoothie because it’s the most sweet and a great introduction if you’re new to green smoothies. Added bonus was that prep weekend fell on Easter long weekend; great combo of time and fun! I like that day 1 is a less sweet smoothie. I altered mine by adding kale, cilantro, anti-inflammatory smoothie cubes, and hemp protein powder. Therefore I cannot comment on the original flavour, but mine was tangy and tasty!

    I love the Peach Banana Smoothie! It tastes delicious and is healthy! I added some protein powder, chia seeds and ground flax. I used coconut water instead of plain water. Delicious start of the day!

    Less sweet than I imagined considering the banana. I love bananas but even half seems to overpower the taste of the peaches. I might adjust to less banana, more peach next time.
