Blend this Banana Peach Smoothie during the height of peach season for the tastiest peach smoothie you’ll ever savor. You can also use frozen peaches, which have been picked at their peak and frozen to lock in the nutrients.

Peaches are a true gift. There’s nothing quite like finding a perfectly ripe peach, then taking it over to the kitchen sink to devour it, juice dripping down your chin, relishing every sweet bite. This is also exactly why I love blending with peaches.

When is the Best Season to Use Peaches in a Smoothie?

Of course, using peaches during the height of peach season is ideal (late spring, early summer). Yet this banana peach smoothie can easily be made with frozen peaches. Slice up + freeze a bunch of peaches during harvest time, then enjoy a little bit of summer all year long.

Low Sugar Recipe

Peaches and bananas are both low on the glycemic scale. This makes them a good choice for anyone watching their blood sugar. (Always check first with your health professional if you are a diabetic!) Both fruits also contain dietary fiber. Fiber can slow down the absorption of fruit sugar into your blood stream, then give you a more steady energy boost.

I start sounding like a commercial going on and on about fiber, but is it SO important for your health – both for heart health and staying “regular.”

Gut health is important, so eat and drink up all the fiber-rich fruit and veggies in this banana peach smoothie! They’re nature’s scrubbing brush.

A diet rich in fiber can lower the risk of Type II diabetes, heart disease and many types of cancer. So grab one of these fiber-filled smoothies and drink to your health!

Turn Your Smoothie into a Meal

Because this is a low-cal smoothie, it’s not a great meal replacement on its own. Upgrade this banana peach smoothie to a quick + easy meal by adding a scoop of homemade protein powder, chia or hemp seeds or homemade nut butter.

To stay full and feel satisfied for longer, check out our popular Green Smoothie Meal Replacement Guide.

For example, you can add 1/4 of an avocado, use 1/2 cup coconut milk for some of the water, add a tablespoon of MCT oil, or your fav healthy fat.

If you don’t like bananas or can’t eat them, feel free to substitute avocado or cauliflower for an equally creamy smoothie.

Quite often the simplest of smoothies are the best ones. This Banana Peach Smoothie is no exception. Use simple, healthy ingredients… your tastebuds and your body will thank you!

My first try. Store was out of frozen peaches so used mango instead. Tasted strongly of spinach. So just okay. Maybe it would have been better with the peaches. Iโ€™ll try it again when I can find them.

    1. Def let us know what you think when you get to try it with peaches Barbara. Also, if you need to back off the amount of spinach for your first couple of smoothies until you get used to it, go for it! Better to blend with a little less, than to not blend at all! ๐Ÿ™‚

This one was O.K., I added the plant protein powder, so this was breakfast for today. I would have liked a little more flavor, it just seemed a little flat.

    1. Def feel free to add more peach next time to up that flavor profile, Laura. Way to start the 10-Day Challenge strong with adding protein powder!

  3. I did not have peaches so used 2 cups of tangerines. I think that is a recipe from another day of the smoothie challenge. Really good. Funny how you can barely taste the spinach.

Very good. I added the Simple Green homemade protein powder and made a meal out of it. I didn’t have peaches, and the store was out of frozen peaches, so I used frozen mangos. I will definitely make this again. Looking forward to making it with peaches next time.

    1. Yay Joyce! Yes, mangoes, nectarines or apricots all make great subs for peaches.

I added a little collagen powder to mine. This smoothie is not bad. Maybe I need some fresh country peaches. My frozen didn’t have enough flavor. Thank goodness summer is around the corner. To remedy this I added a couple antioxidant booster cubes. The hint of ginger gave me the kick I wanted.

Love everything about this smoothieโ€” banana and peaches are delicious together!

I love peaches, but this was not my favorite flavor, although , to be fair, I didn’t measure carefully. I may not have used as many peaches as called for and probably used more spinach. Even though this is lower sugar, which I appreciate, I don’t do as well with too much fruit. I do think the flavor could be enhanced with some ginger, cardamom, or cinnamon. I’m thinking next time I might add blueberries or mango along with the peaches and make it with oatmilk instead of water.

Simple, light, refreshing, and a great smoothie to start a spring green smoothie challenge. Wasn’t as peachy as I was expecting but that could have been cause I used a whole small banana. Also used milk instead of water so I had a bit of a peaches and cream flavour.

Liked it well enough but not a super wow…though that could have been because I used canned peaches, rinsed well. It’s all I could find for peaches in my area at the time.
