Pineapple Mint Smoothie

This Pineapple Mint Smoothie might even teleport you to a poolside bar on a hot summer day.

Tropical pineapple mint green smoothie recipe

Sweet. Soothing. Refreshing. Hydrating. This Pineapple Mint Smoothie happens to be my literary agent’s favorite recipe of all time. If you close your eyes while sipping it down, you might even teleport to a poolside bar and think it’s a pineapple mojito. (You wouldn’t be the first!)

Ingredients for hydrating pineapple mint green smoothie

How to make this Mint Smoothie

Head to the grocery store and gather the following fruits, leafy greens and herbs to create this delicious mint smoothie. No matter where you serve it, this juicy, sweet pineapple smoothie is amazing. It’s the perfect summer drink to cool down, hydrate and feel amazing!

Kale: The king of the leafy green family, kale is packed with fiber and phytonutrients that our body loves

Coconut Water: This is the most hydrating liquid base out there. I love using it as a post workout smoothie or on a hot day.

Pineapple: This natural sweetener turns this healthy smoothie into a decadent poolside cooler.

Lime: Fresh limes make the most vibrant flavors and can be blended effortlessly into a mint smoothie.

Mint: This herb is a natural stimulant, which can help your perk up during a painfully slow afternoon, or even give you a healthy jolt before you head to the gym.

If you’re not a fan of kale in your smoothies but want to be, this is a good one to start with. The pineapple and coconut water make it very sweet. The kale flavor ends up being very mild. Let me put it this way, normally my kids don’t like kale in their smoothies, but this Pineapple Mint Smoothie went down the hatch nice and easy.

Fresh lime and mint

Turn this Smoothie into a Cocktail

So far this is the best tasting one. Despite being thinner than I like them, it at least had some flavor. What by the way us a quarter cup of mint leaves? I just used all I purchased in the little herb package. Also, can someone please tell me how to get stop all the foamy bubbles I’m getting.

    • Simple Green Smoothies says:

Hi Portia! Glad you liked this one best! To measure out 1/4 cup mint leaves, we’d use about 10 leaves or so. And those foamy bubbles are showing up because you have such an awesome high powered blender. 😉 To correct that, be sure to slow the blender down at the end and blend slowly for a bit before pouring it out to drink.

This is one the most delicious smoothies you can try. I highly recommend it! Definitely always blend your kale and liquids first until smooth as recommended. It makes all the difference. When I started doing this I was able to switch up my greens and I noticed a big difference. Your body needs diversity in your greens. Happy blending .

This surprised me with the mint and pineapple combo but I love mojitos so gave it a try. This did not disappoint. The flavor combo was intriguing and delicious. Will definitely make again.

I was excited to use my homegrown mint for this smoothie. I added ice to make it colder, but wonder if that made it so I couldn’t taste the pineapple flavor very much.

  5. Emily says:

It was pretty refreshing. I liked the mint but my kids didn’t like it. They felt like it was sour and tasted like grass.

  6. Kim Powell says:

Love, Love, Love this! I guess I am partial to the citrus flavors but all of this was awesome!

    • Jacqueline says:

Yummy – I liked the mint.

  8. Suzanne Attig says:

This one was really good, even though my dislike of kale and preference for spinach had me make the swap; and my lack of fresh mint had me use some peppermint and spearmint candy for the mint flavor. I would make it again, still with spinach, once I get fresh mint.

  9. Maureen Cioni says:

I think I added too much mint, but I did like it. Less mint and make sure the fruit is frozen and it will be perfect! I did add the chia that I blended in and protein powder to make it my breakfast.

  10. Meryl says:

    5 stars
This definitely is good for someone who does not like kale, like me. It is delicious

  11. Raychel says:

When pineapple is the only fruit smoothies are a little bit too acidic for me and I have a weird aftertaste. This one wasn’t my favorite. I think someone who really likes pineapple would LOVE it though!

  12. Susan Callahan says:

    5 stars
I didn’t have mint or lime. Added a 1/2 peeled lemon instead of the lime. Did not substitute anything for the missing mint. Really enjoyed this!

  13. Holly says:

I think this is my favorite so far. I used fresh mint from my garden. Sooo good!

  14. Jemia says:

Each sip of my pineapple mint smoothie was flawless! This smoothie was very balanced with all of the flavors. The pineapple was able to soften the strength of the mint…and the hint of lime juice added a little citrus spark for my
    Smoothie!

Love the use of herbs here! I’ve been using fresh mint from my garden in a lot of smoothies, and was glad to see this recipe called for it. I used more mint than the recipe says, so the flavor was PUNCHY!

Light, smooth, mild smoothie. Even though this one has mint and lime juice, I found the flavors to be very mild. Not bad, but not as outstanding as some of the other smoothie recipes. Would be a great choice for someone just starting out with green smoothies!

  35. Ana Siguenza says:
