This challenge is for you if…

Ten days, ten salads, and the shopping already worked out. Here’s who it’s really for.

Your salads have gone boring

The same leaves and bottled dressing every time. Ten days of recipes that taste like you meant it.

You want a real meal, not a side

Pasta salads, grain bowls, roasted vegetables — hearty enough to be lunch and dinner.

You want more vegetables in your day

The easiest way to eat a lot of them, without turning the oven on most nights.

You hate wasting produce

One grocery list for the whole ten days, so the greens get used before they turn.

Lunch is the meal you skip

Something ready in the fridge beats whatever is quickest at one o’clock.

You like doing it with other people

A challenge with a start date, daily emails, and a crowd doing it alongside you.

What’s inside the challenge

Ten days of salads worth looking forward to, with the thinking already done.

Menu

10-day salad menu

A new one every day — Healthy Taco, Vegan Potato, Kale Caesar, Bright Berry. Each serves two, so dinner leaves lunch behind.

A string bag of fresh vegetables and herbs on a counter

Groceries

One grocery list

Split across two trips, days 1–5 and 6–10, so the spinach never turns before you reach it.

A kale salad with a creamy dressing, tossed in a bowl

Prep

A salad prep guide

Dressings made ahead in little jars, vegetables chopped and waiting. Then it is grab, toss and eat.

Emails

Motivation emails

Encouragement, quick tips and reminders from me, start to finish. We’re in this together.

A note from Jen

Fuel your passion

It started with one green smoothie. That was the whole plan — one a day, every day, and let it add up. I was exhausted, stressed out and frustrated with my body, and a smoothie was the one thing I could manage.

Smoothies turned into soups, soups turned into salads, and eventually it turned into this. Somewhere along the way I stopped surviving each day and started living it — a backyard family farm, running across the Grand Canyon twice in a single day, hiking to the top of the tallest waterfall in North America with my kids.

What I’ve learned from all of it is that repetition and focus are what make results happen. So ten days of salads, one after another, will get you good at this — confident making salads that are filling, full of flavor, and that actually taste good.

FAQs

How many does each salad serve?

Two. Enjoy one for dinner and the other as lunch leftovers the next day, or do the challenge with someone and have exactly the right amount each day. The shopping list is worked out on that basis.

Why is the shopping list split in two?

So your produce doesn’t go bad. You buy only what you need for the first five days, then shop again for days six to ten. There’s nothing enjoyable about opening a bag of rancid spinach.

Are these meals, or side dishes?

Both, and that’s deliberate. Fruit salads, potato salads, garden salads — some are filling enough to be dinner on their own, others are better alongside something. It’s up to you which way you take each one.

Can I prep ahead?

Yes, and I’d recommend it. Make the dressings ahead and keep them in small airtight containers, and chop most of the vegetables and fruit in advance — just wait to wash until you’re ready to eat. Three recipes want nuts soaked the night before, so set a phone reminder.

Do I have to stop my daily smoothie?

Not at all. Keep drinking one right through the challenge — I will. The more plants, the merrier.

What do I actually get for $17?

A ten-day salad menu, a done-for-you grocery list split across the two shopping trips, a salad prep guide, a full-colour interactive PDF, and a motivation email from me each day. It’s yours to keep and cook from again.

Fresh foods for crusty eating habits

10 new salad recipes for 10 days. And now that my fridge is full of fresh foods I am going to be eating the leftovers for another several days. Some of the recipes I’ll definitely utilize again and some I will tweak to see if we like enough to make them regular meals. Way to shake up our taco, wing, and burger rut!

I enjoyed each salad especially the vegan potato salad. The shopping lists made it so easy to follow. Each salad was easy to make and was suitable to add your own spin.

Lettuce life

I liked having ideas of new salad mixtures to try. I typically have the same exact salad every day, which can get a little mundane. This pushed me to mix it up.

Gained Lots of New Tools

I love Simple Green Smoothies and have done 2 of the cleanses, so I was totally on board for the salad challenge. I thought I knew a lot about plant based eating, but of course I learned some awesome new skills that I will bring with me. I liked all of the salads, and LOVED the majority of them. But the big winner was the vegan kale Caesar. That dressing!!! That was AMAZING!! Thanks again for this cool idea. It’s a lot of prep but I love being able to buy and make the salads myself, over and over. And I feel great, too.

Great Challenge

I have really enjoyed putting ingredients together in a new way. Even having to make some modifications due to allergies, I was able to enjoy a different salad for each of the last 10 days. I look forward to continuing to expand my palate.

Journey to my Best self

I did it! I’m generally not a goal setter. Although I feel I live a healthy life this challenge just took it up to the next level for me. Also I was left with a plan for the future with all the extra tidbits of wonderful information bestowed upon me by participating in this challenge. Thank you to all who have other people’s best interest at heart when choosing your profession!

Proof that salads CAN be delicious!

I started this challenge HATING salads. I knew that they were good for me and I *should* eat them, but salads always felt like punishment. WELL! That changed immediately! These salads are filled with delicious healthy toppings: beans, chickpeas, nuts, barley, fruit, vegan Parmesan, and good-enough-to-drink salad dressings! Not only did I stop dreading salads, I started to look forward to eating the second half! I have told my university-age daughter that she is in for a healthy and delightful surprise when she comes home; I will remake all these salads for her! She’s been receiving a photo of each day’s salad on Snapchat and is pretty excited to try them for herself. I’m really thrilled to learn that healthy eating doesn’t have to be hard and time-consuming and flavourless! I was so excited about this challenge and so pleased with the results. I will definitely be watching for future challenges and cleanses from Simple Green Smoothies. Thank you so much!
