This challenge is for you if…
Ten days, ten salads, and the shopping already worked out. Here’s who it’s really for.
Your salads have gone boring
The same leaves and bottled dressing every time. Ten days of recipes that taste like you meant it.
You want a real meal, not a side
Pasta salads, grain bowls, roasted vegetables — hearty enough to be lunch and dinner.
You want more vegetables in your day
The easiest way to eat a lot of them, without turning the oven on most nights.
You hate wasting produce
One grocery list for the whole ten days, so the greens get used before they turn.
Lunch is the meal you skip
Something ready in the fridge beats whatever is quickest at one o’clock.
You like doing it with other people
A challenge with a start date, daily emails, and a crowd doing it alongside you.
What’s inside the challenge
Ten days of salads worth looking forward to, with the thinking already done.

Menu
10-day salad menu
A new one every day — Healthy Taco, Vegan Potato, Kale Caesar, Bright Berry. Each serves two, so dinner leaves lunch behind.

Groceries
One grocery list
Split across two trips, days 1–5 and 6–10, so the spinach never turns before you reach it.

Prep
A salad prep guide
Dressings made ahead in little jars, vegetables chopped and waiting. Then it is grab, toss and eat.

Emails
Motivation emails
Encouragement, quick tips and reminders from me, start to finish. We’re in this together.

Fuel your passion
It started with one green smoothie. That was the whole plan — one a day, every day, and let it add up. I was exhausted, stressed out and frustrated with my body, and a smoothie was the one thing I could manage.
Smoothies turned into soups, soups turned into salads, and eventually it turned into this. Somewhere along the way I stopped surviving each day and started living it — a backyard family farm, running across the Grand Canyon twice in a single day, hiking to the top of the tallest waterfall in North America with my kids.
What I’ve learned from all of it is that repetition and focus are what make results happen. So ten days of salads, one after another, will get you good at this — confident making salads that are filling, full of flavor, and that actually taste good.

FAQs
Two. Enjoy one for dinner and the other as lunch leftovers the next day, or do the challenge with someone and have exactly the right amount each day. The shopping list is worked out on that basis.
So your produce doesn’t go bad. You buy only what you need for the first five days, then shop again for days six to ten. There’s nothing enjoyable about opening a bag of rancid spinach.
Both, and that’s deliberate. Fruit salads, potato salads, garden salads — some are filling enough to be dinner on their own, others are better alongside something. It’s up to you which way you take each one.
Yes, and I’d recommend it. Make the dressings ahead and keep them in small airtight containers, and chop most of the vegetables and fruit in advance — just wait to wash until you’re ready to eat. Three recipes want nuts soaked the night before, so set a phone reminder.
Not at all. Keep drinking one right through the challenge — I will. The more plants, the merrier.
A ten-day salad menu, a done-for-you grocery list split across the two shopping trips, a salad prep guide, a full-colour interactive PDF, and a motivation email from me each day. It’s yours to keep and cook from again.

Greens for good
I have been doing the SGS challenges for a few years now. I have enjoyed each one and this salad challenge was no different. I really appreciate how well organized each challenge is from the recipe and ingredient explanations to the shopping list and prep guides. The salads in this challenge were so delicious too. I enjoyed them all. Can’t wait for the next challenge. Happy greens everyone! 🥬💚
So so
I have been trying to do the challenge, but I don’t like alot of the foods on the challenge.to eat the same ones that you do like are boring and that’s why it doesn’t work for me
Great recipes
I have loved the tips and guidelines, recipes and encouragement.
Holy greens!
I loved it. I loved the variety and boldly pairing ingredients to come up with awesome tasting salads. I’m still shocked how much I loved the lemon arugula salad. Thank you for this opportunity.
Great way to get more vegetables
I loved that I did this challenge to make & eat salads for 10 days in a row. While these took more time than I normally do for salads- I usually just chop & throw in whatever is at hand, Jen really had thought thru flavors & dressings to complement the ingredients. I never make my own dressing, but now I realize it’s not that hard or time consuming. I loved the Strawberry Arugula salad. It is something I’d feel proud to serve for company. So I got some good recipes, ate better with more vegetables, and feel like I can continue on to include more plants in my diet. All my goals were met! I have recommended it to several friends.
Dressings for a a Goddess!
I did this challenge more for fun than anything else. Salads were great, but I love salads so that was not surprising. But what I didn’t expect was how much you would influence my experience with dressings. I have never really been creative or even in dressing than a regular Italian dressing. I don’t get why people would use anything else. I really am perplexed why anyone would use ranch dressing. This challenge has opened up world to fun dressings that I really like. One of my gavotte salads is the Lemon Arugula Salad. The arugula and lemon were from my garden and tree. This salad is so versatile that I even ate it as a whole grain pita sandwich. The carrot crunch Salad so delicious and unbelievable simple. I am genuinely surprised how much I learned about salads. Thank you from a former only Italian dressing Salad snob.
Salad challenge was very challenging!
I didn’t realize how much work would be involved! I almost didn’t do the challenge after I saw how many ingredients were involved. LOL. But I decided to go along with it. I enjoyed most of the salads. My favorites were the Healthy Taco Salad, the Vegan Potato Salad, the Healthy Pasta Salad, and the Kale Caesar Salad. There were a few that were challenging because I didn’t have the proper tools. I do have an older model Vitamix but was challenged by the dressings with cashews. I didn’t want to make more dressing than I would use. But all in all, I learned a lot and came away with some really delicious salads. I appreciate Simple Green Smoothies for sharing their healthy recipes and challenging me to make something different!
Healthy, happy and heavenly
I enjoy new challenges and these recipes inspire me to be creative. Thank you.
Fresh, Nourishing, Fed
I really enjoyed the recipes of the 10-Day Challenge. They were simple, nourishing and left me feeling well fed and healthy. I love using whole food ingredients and feel so much better when I include them in my diet regularly.
Salad challenge
I really enjoyed this salad challenge. I didn’t follow along exactly, but I made every recipe. It was a little challenging finding the right ingredients, mainly the fruits. So I just swapped fruits around or changed out the green options. Still everything was delicious and I’m excited to have some great recipes to keep making and some wonderful dressing recipes.
Eating of the Green
I’m not much of a greens eater. This challenge helped introduce me to tastier ways to eat and enjoy greens. Thank you!
Great Kick In The Pants!
I’ve eaten WFPB for several years; in the recent past, I’d become lazy opting for more processed “vegan” food than I should. The last 10 days has been a great reminder of not only just how much better freshly made food tastes, but of how much better I feel when adhering to this way of eating. I tried a few things I would have otherwise passed by; I’m so glad I did! Please challenge us more in the future!
Loved it! Maybe local partners?
Loved it, shared it, upgraded my equipment. Maybe there’s an opportunity to work with local partners for ingredients. Understand that it seems like a pain in the ass to go local – but perhaps piggie back on local news revival initiatives? Here in Cambridge MA, would love if you partnered w/ ie Clover to source challenge ingredients locally and sustainably. Or Farmers Markets – ie collaborate so I can swing by and get what I need assembled and ready to go for a challenge from the local indie participants.
A New Salad Attitude
Not sure about anyone else, but normally dread making or being asked to make a salad. I end up taking a short cut by purchasing a pre-made salad at the grocery. 6 months ago I totally dropped my healthy meal plan and exercise routine. I regained 18 lbs and was miserable. When the opportunity came up with the 10 day salad challenge and run the edge, I jumped in with both feet. It was everything I needed to return to healthy eating and moving. It was perfect timing because my husband was diagnosed with diabetes and the healthy salads was perfect for his diet. We signed up for the family plan at our local pool and now swim lengths 3 x a week. The salad challenge recipes are fabulous and got me out of the doldrums of the old salads that I had been making. My plan is to continue with plant based salads and a regular exercise routine. Thank you simply green smoothies and run the edge!
