I got my answer today about sugary fruits.

I enjoyed this last smoothie and did make some changes in the previous smoothies too. I am pre diabetic and have high cholesterol so I’m trying to avoid the super sugary fruits like bananas and in this last smoothie recipe you said to swap it with frozen cauliflower, what a great idea!!!! You are right, the taste of it is pretty inexistent.. loved this idea!!!

I do smoothies daily and using ginger and turmeric in every single smoothie (love ginger) unfortunately at times the taste of ginger is prevalent to everything I use.

I loved this challenge because I learned how to mix, swap ingredients as my liking and healthier to my needs.

I read someone said it would be nice to have the challenge for be 2 weeks and I completely agree!!

I joined the challenge to renew my confidence in making smoothies. I was a green smoothie junkie about 13 years ago. We were an army family and I was on a weight loss and health renewal journey. Since my husband retired from the army, we’ve moved a few times, adjusted to civilian life and raised our kids. AND gotten older lol! I needed a kickstart to revitalize my health and ease my creaky joints. I enjoyed the recipes during the challenge. The PDF was very helpful, so thank you! I did add pea protein, chia seeds and sometimes oats to my smoothies depending on my needs for the day. I slept better and deeper overall, and felt refreshed when I woke up the next day. I didn’t lose any weight but I did have a lot less bloating. I plan to repeat the challenge this week and add an additional green smoothie each day. Thank you and your team for putting this even together. It has been a great experience!

I joined to try the smoothie recipes that give me alternatives for healthier eating. I enjoyed making all the recipes and only the honey turmeric smoothie was not for me, although with some tweaks it could be. I will work on the tweaks. I lost 4 pounds over the week so hoping I keep it off by rotating smoothies into my regular daily eating. I’m glad you added the PDF for the grocery list. I didn’t try any of the challenge deals (not that I didn’t like them, just didn’t get to take advantage of them), but with having the flu this week I don’t recall them, but you probably mentioned them at the pre-challenge workshop. I didn’t read many emails this week, so I may have missed that info if it was in an email. My inbox was inundated with emails every time someone posted a comment so I will have to figure out how to turn that off for future challenges as I miss finding other emails in the long list of smoothie challenge comments, which I just log in and read the comments on the website anyway. I really enjoyed the week, loved all the pics everyone posted. Maybe I will win a Vitamix one day that also has the option for the food processor bowl. I would love to get rid of my old food processor! I’m hoping you will do a soup challenge, which would be a great winter challenge as I eat more soup in the winter as a warm up. I have done smoothie challenge before it was 14 days in spring so I wanted to go again to mix up my smoothie recipes the green is my fav & go to but I had been using regular apple juice because I do like more sweet but I did with water like it’s suppose to be & realized I don’t need the sugared juice to enjoy. The tumeric & ginger spices might not be for me but I may try them again with less of the spices.

I joined this challenge because I wanted to try some simple yet tried and true new recipes. I liked every single one!! I can’t say I noticed much physical/mental change as I was already in an almost daily smoothie habit. But I was so happy to try these new recipes and get out of my “rut”!

I joined the challenge to see if I could change my lifestyle a bit, adding more plant based food into my diet and busy lifestyle. I really enjoyed the recipes- they were so easy to follow, and tasted fantastic. I had never tried cauliflower or carrots in a smoothie before and was so surprised at how I enjoyed the taste. I definitely would do this type of challenge again.

I joined this challenge to reset my breakfast program with healthy options post the holiday. The recipes were very different each day and offered variety in taste and health benefits. I noticed fewer sugar cravings more energy and definitely little to no bloating during the challenge. I even list 2.3lbs! I’m really proud of myself for sticking with this program and participating fully each day in the community. I’d love to see a longer challenge or option to continue with perhaps another 6 days of recipes as I don’t want this to end! I’m super grateful. This has restored my confidence in knowing I do have discipline to complete a challenge! Bonus was the low cost of food for this challenge: less than $40 USD for a weeks worth of smoothie ingredients with food to spare! Can’t beat the economics of this program.

I needed a way to jump start a more healthy eating routine. This was the way to go. I found the recipes easy to make and delicious. This process is helping me control my cravings and eat much healthier food. I am a Rawk star member and find the menus grocery lists and recipes a fantastic tool. My favorite find in this challenge was the chocolate peanut butter smoothie. It filled me up and satisfied my nasty chocolate craving.

I loved this challenge. It really helped me dial in how to make a single serving smoothie with great taste and great texture. In the past I have struggled with too many ingredients resulting in too many calories too much to drink flavors not great and some just plain old ugly smoothies. I feel like I now have a good foundation to make some tasty smoothies. I also like reading about other participants experience. I loved all the “food stylists” photographs. Jen’s approach of “perfection isn’t the goal” makes you really feel like you can do this! I highly recommend and look forward to participating in any future challenges.
