Bonding time over smoothie.

When I started doing this challenge as a recommendation from a friend I was surprised that my 11 & 9 yrs old kids wanna join me. They were so adventurous & eager to try new smoothie recipe. The first thing my daughter would say after coming home from school was (what is the smoothie for today?). I really loved that. Even when I said this smoothie has cauliflower in it their answer was yum 😋. The only one we didn’t like was the meal replacement smoothie ( the consistency was a bit off & the taste ). My son said to me yesterday mom I don’t want this to end . I want this challenge everyday . He even wrote down his favorite ones in his recipe book . Thanks to you Now I have this new healthy activity to do together.

Yummy smoothies

All of the smoothies were easy fun to make and delicious. The combinations were amazing and I would add some flax chia and hemp if I wanted to feel full longer. Helped me post workout. Will use recipes again especially the beginner.s luck post workout and turmeric tonic. Thank you so much for sharing these recipes and for the challenge. Helps to stay healthy.

Who needs milkshakes? Start every day with dessert!!!

I never expected to experience such a fun healthy and YUMMY challenge. There’s a challenge around every corner these days but Simple Green Smoothies’ Winter Challenge takes the cake!! Not only did I supercharge my tastebuds but I supercharged my Pickleball game! Dink IT! I love being able to just dump the ingredients into the blender and pour out at least 2 meals or healthy snacks. I totally upped my game by knowing I had a smoothie waiting for me to come home to. I have already decided to incorporate these smoothies into my every day meal plan and SGS made this and easy decision. I can’t wait to try more of these nutritious recipes.

DIY Delicious Smoothies for people who can’t make smoothies

I received a Vitamix for Christmas and was so excited to start down a more healthy food path. So I began making smoothies – and boy were they TERRIBLE. I struggled to get great tasting combos that were also full of vitamins protein fiber etc. I came across this challenge and it has been the best thing for me. Every smoothie I made was delicious. Being in the group let me hear how others tweaked their recipes when they were out of some ingredient or adding to the flavor. I have never been a morning person and have always found it difficult to get something healthy in my stomach for breakfast. Most days I grab a cookie string cheese or some other quick on the go item. For the last 10 days I have had a wholesome great tasting breakfast (and most days lunch too). I stay full until lunch I know I’m putting something wonderful into my body and I continued to be excited about each new recipe. I would like to say thank you for putting this together. I feel more comfortable with my Vitamix and making smoothies. Your recipes are delicious and easy to follow. I especially liked the shopping list for each week – I never had to worry about not having the ingredient on hand.

Bloatless and energized!

I really enjoyed all the different delicious smoothies that were introduced to me, they were all tasty. What I loved the most, was how my stomach reacted. I was less bloated and had much more energy.

Wow I learned so much participating in this challenge. The huge variety of smoothies really opened my eyes to new possibilities of combinations. And I continue to go back through the comments for even more ideas. Thank you to all the participants for sharing ideas and swaps. This definitely got me out of my rut of making the same smoothies every day. Thank you to Jen for sharing her knowledge with us.

I love the fact the recipe explains how many to substitute for a serving of fruit in your smoothie. You can make ahead and store. What might be a great addition for unique ingredients i.e. Olive Leaf complex water is to provide additional tid bits. My organic market wasn’t sure about the “water”. I don’t know if I bought the right product. The immune booster recipe won’t freeze like the others. Maybe I was supposed to make the water from the Olive Leaf complex??! But I LOVE LOVE LOVE this concept and recipes
